That has been my impression as well. The fact that the city computer was able to "raise" the city for Hikaru and Misa hints at mobility of a sort. My theory is that in Zero, the island of Mayan is in fact either the ruins of Artela (Alternate continuity), or of a similar colony/ship. Fits with the legend told in story form at the beginning of the first few episodes...

Thanks for the info Pierre. Pictures might help us visualize your description though.

Jenius is correct. The stock 1/60 stickers suck, and are difficult to get to affix properly to the heatshield without trimming or notching so that the edges won't peel up.

Wow, really looking good Martin! Nice work! ...Just curious, but where ever will you put a 1/1000 Macross? Will it fit in your garage?
-
MechTech, that's great! Very impressive. Looking forward to the next update

Nice. Will try that myself

I had one of those, I think mine was a Converter The center section of the main body was diecast. It was actually pretty neat, with the exception of those main gun booms...

The problem with that is that the Legioss is very, very small in comparison to most Macross mecha. To make it in-scale with all the new Yamato stuff (1/60), it would be even smaller than it is now (the Alphas are nominally 1/55 according to Toynami, but some members here have calculated their actual scale to be somewhere between 1/55 and 1/48, depending on mode). A knock-em-dead gorgeous 1/35 would be really nice, and would display nicely with the new 1/60s and 1/48s. It would still be a little bit shorter in Armo-Soldier mode than any of the Yammies though.

Just received my 0A, and fortunately no major issues to report. The paint application is way better than on my 0S, and the addition of the 'locks' for the feet is nice. The gunpod actually fits the pegs on the arms, and the handle on the pod is not too loose. The only negatives on this one are that there is still substantial casting flash in the auxilliary air intakes like the 0S, the left intake cover doesn't want to stay put in the nacelle, and there are still huge ugly swirl marks on both feet, just like the 0S.

Fort Max, thanks for all of your exposition on the Gunbuster here . I feel that I will not be disappointed when I get mine, which I'm very excitedly and impatiently awaiting from BBTS.

At some point, I think it would be neat to see a MW front-page feature of this bird. Especially with an SK endorsement.

Nope, the last item is not the movie program (this is the Movie Program). *Edit, oops, misread your post Beltane70

It's from the ARII 1/100 Heavy Weapons series, released in 1984. I've actually been looking for this one. Thanks for the link

Congrats Knight!

Thanks for all of your past and present help, Devin. I've got your low-vis decals on my CF and fastpacks and just love them. Congrats to you for your marriage and real-life advancements!

1/48+fp's, 1/60, And 1/72 Picture Gallery Pt 2
Hiriyu replied to VF-18S Hornet's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Do it, jenius. Orguss mecha is extremely cool, though pricing and availability are starting to get poor. My collection pales next to guys like Drifand's or Solscud's, but I'm very proud of it nonetheless -
Cool, jenius The Max & Milia 1Js actually look pretty cool in GBP imho...

I'm still in the process of moving into my new place, and still unpacking, but took the opportunity to take a couple snaps of some of my collection (sorry, nothing on display yet). I have some more stuff still packed, and a few more things on order that I haven't received yet (Angel Birds, VF-0A, 1/100 VF-1Js). Yamato and misc stuff: Takatoku Orguss stuff: Model Kits: -
I don't think you'll have a problem there, Luke, else Graham wouldn't have offered to try to have it shown. I think the holy one would much more likely get a big kick out of seeing what you've done with one of his designs... like making an SV-51 actually FLY

I like Hurin's parts list/advice above. Very similar to what I'm considering buying sometime soon. The only thing I'd personally change would be the video card (X1900/X1950XTX), as I'm partial to the ATI stuff myself*. *The nVidia card Hurin mentions will work great, and will give you excellent frame rates, but the filtering quality is not quite as good as the X1900 IMHO. This is only really an issue when running high resolutions along with high levels of AA/AF.

Oh, man, I know what you're talking about. I'm in the midst of moving right now, and ended up with about 6 boxes, each about half the size of the one in your pictures. The transportation aspect was bad, but what was worse was packing it all up Took many hours, spread over the course of a few nights.

The Aim for the Top! Gunbuster Thread v2.0
Hiriyu replied to Noriko Takaya's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I wonder how much yellowing a 12,000 year old chunky monkey would have? -
Are you going to make these decals available to the rest of us? I have an Angel Bird on order, and would like the option of correct decals

Thanks for the info KingNor. What you guys are doing is very cool. For any of the doubters out there, the combination of VP (Virtual Pinball) and VPMAME (Virtual Pinball Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) are an outstanding effort to replicate the original experience of gaming at a real arcade pinball table. They feature very realistic and lifelike representation of the original tables, and I can tell you firsthand that they work very well. This is not "video pinball" as you know it!
-
KingNor, I guess my next question is: Do you have a software-only distro that you guys are willing to sell licenses for? It's probably not within my current budget to buy your table, but I'm sure that I could swing the money for the inner-workings Inquiring minds would like to know. Edit - jenius, if it is supported in VPinmame, my guess is that it should be supported by KingNor & Co's hardware.
