    The first movie almost falls into "so bad it's good" territory. I still laugh at the collapsing underwater ice cave. It also has power suits. Those are always awesome. The second movie, though... it's enjoyable without the "so bad it's good" edge. I still laugh at the prologue where the narrator just goes "All that stuff we set up at the end of the first movie? That stupid crap you told us you didn't want to see? Yeah, we resolved it all off-camera between the movies. Except the fake president thing. We're takin' care of that today, 'cuz it sounds fun."

    Like I said in the other thread, those Go-Bots are delicious and I want the drilltank and SpayC and the SR-71, for sure. The tank guy is hot too, I hope they're doing Pathfinder.

    So I guess this is technology-related. Former electronics superstore and PC manufacturer turned flea market trash bin Radio Shack filed for bankruptcy. I can't say I'm even remotely surprised, they've been in a downward spiral for a decade at least. I'm only surprised it's taken them this long. But I also can't say it doesn't make me sad. They used to be such a great place, with so much neat stuff packed into such a small space.

    And the drill-tank guy, whose name escapes me. Drilltanks are always awesome. Spay-C looks, at first glance, like a pretty solid shuttle.Stubby tailfin, but whatcha gonna do? Now where's Pathfinder? The Gobots had a WAY better UFO than Transformers.

    It definitely gets into the weirder side of embracing parallel universes, though, since Space Brick is a very different character in the two different sources, but they're both still the canon Space Brick.

    Discotek also also has Mazinger Z. And (some installments of) Fist of the North Star. Looks like the situation is getting to be where if it's awesome, to the left of mainstream, and Not-ADV didn't snipe the license out of spite, Discotek has it.

    I actaully hope this goes somewhere. I kinda want to see what Hollywood's take on the transforming jet is. i have no real hope for the writing.

    Eh, I'm probably just disappointed that Tobikage didn't make it. Because that show was hilarious. But yeah, they did change their targets after the first round of failures.

    Damn, that's almost ADV-esque levels of backstabery. But whatever. I'm still mad at Funimation for never putting Symphogear on a disk, and waiting until I gave up and bought DVDs to put Railgun on BluRay(and for not including a slipcover with the disk 1+box, so disk 2 didn't match unless I threw out the slipcover... grrrr). Awesome. Hope it does better than AnimeSols has been doing. They seem to have a lot of trouble bringing in cash.

    Man, I haven't seen this one since it's theatrical run. Caught it right before it left theaters, too. One other person in the theater with us, and he fell asleep, so it was basically a private screening. Gorgeous film. Crazy, but gorgeous.

    MOST of Transformers sounds like bad fanfiction. It's not, generally speaking, a franchise that lends itself to great storytelling. We're here for the spectacle, and that sounds like a helluva spectacle.

    Lesbian Bear Storm is such a ridiculous title. Waitin' for that one to finish up before I start in on it, though. Ikuhara's brand of crazy leaves me with a need to marathon.
