You and me both!!! Seeing it in person at WF23 Winter really had me ready to drop down money for a couple (maybe a few) of them at day 1 preorder. I wonder if the release of the original VF-4G under Yamato has them worried.

This club looks to be quite cool. Next time I'm in Vegas, I hope I'm there when you guys have something going on. -
Is that a compilation book of all the comics? If so, while I have the comics, this would be a great grab to go through them in one book.

They're QR codes for video of transformation.

While I was there for only a very short time, I managed to finally get one of the Experten 1/100 Variable Glaug kits. Well, actually, I have 2 now, but it took a while. This is a slightly complex kit, but I can't wait to start putting one together. VG purchase.jfif

Who from MW will be there? It'd be cool to meet up with some members I've never seen in person.

Nice find. I'm missing a few of those, and don't expect to find them all in my lifetime, but that's OK. I'm glad you were at least able to pick these up.

I had been sitting on buying this book, but thanks to samples of photos you posted, I have it coming in today or tomorrow. I'm excited to get this.

Wow, now that's an expensive piece of something not many of us are even aware of, or care of to spend that type of money. It's a cool piece, but for that price, well, yeah, no! It's cool that you have a set of them. -

I'm hoping to get one of those posters. They are very cool looking. From people I know who went, they were saying that the event went very well. -
It's a beautiful figure. Congrats on the find.

In a sense, I'm glad it's a Hi-metal R so that I don't feel the need to buy it. If it was their DX line though, all bets are off. It does look cool though.

It's because of this that I ended up scanning the figures as .stl files so that I can print them in durable plastic and paint them. I really like these figures, and it's a shame that they've gotten to this. Mine are just now at that point where they're starting to get sticky. I keep all my stuff in a very cool lower closet of my collection room, so they've bee pretty well off, but even then, it still is happening.

Glad you got yours so soon. My two are on the way now. I was able to get the order with the extra additions, and specifically ordered two for one to look through, and one to keep pristine. I'm sure this book will be on the coffee table for quite awhile.

Yeah, pretty sad for Shapeways. I think their service of buying prints was killed by the amount of personal printers available. That said, their nylon prints were done by an SLS (not a personal nylon printer) style printer, which is in the amount of $10K to own. There are other printer services that have these, but you need the file yourself.

I wasn't sure if I wanted one of these when they first came out the first time, but at some point, well after it was released, wanted one. With this release, and the price being low enough, decided to get one of these. If anything, the stand looks quite cool, so I'm happy about that.

In having the Japanese Blu ray of MII, that was a really good quality version of the OVA. I always felt that it was the definitive version to come. Being that it looks almost like it was done in the past several years (minus the fact that it's all hand drawn), I was thoroughly impressed with that version. I'm excited to see how this goes. So far, I'm quite impressed and I hope this can truly be the definitive version. I will have to say though, the biggest joy out of this is the Subtitles, but even more is the English dub. I love the original voices, but the English dub is like the best of bad dubbing, and it carries its own epic seal of approval in that sense. I definitely plan to do a watch party when it's out.

These are really cool. With only a limited amount of Japanese I can understand. I was only getting about 25-30% of what was being said. It's great to finally get it all. Thanks!!!

I've been able to get back to working on this project, and I am pretty happy to say that there's some new parts being done. I still need to sort out what I wanna do with the feet and legs as far as giving them a bit more articulation, but there's definitely enough references and designs out there to pick one. Originally I was going to do this with a 2.25mm thickness, but with the better material I have, I make it thinner, at least in the main body. The legs will probably keep the 2mm, and that should work.

Macross DYRL in 4K UHD with English Subtitles

I never got that Milia was saying that Max was beautiful. As a Zentran, those weren't words they would know, and even if she was able to learn human language of Japanese, I don't think her extremely limited knowledge of culture would have her respond like that. I think she was either just repeating it because she didn't know what that was, or was repeating it more inquisitively. -
Being late to a party to enjoy the party favors is better than never coming. I hope you were able to find one.

That is pretty much me as well. Although, while I do have the Ostrich and 1D, I got the 1D simply for the Fan jet, as it's not in a 1/48 scale, and the Ostrich, well, TBH, I was more interested in the accessories (tent, figures). 1/60 is a great scale. With my collection going on for 20+ years, larger scales now seem to be a bit overwhelming. And while I do have a couple rooms I can display stuff in, I'd simply rather not, and just keep it to 1. I guess we'll get reports from WF 2025 Winter if Arcadia shows anything. I'm hoping there's news on the VF-5000 and the Minmay. They showed off re-releases last year, and well, OK fine. I don't need a 5th VF-1S with the same paint scheme.

If I am able to get one, I definitely will. I'd love to work on it, and possibly even use it to work on a larger version with new mechanics. This one looks great, but there seems to be a bit of gap issues. That said, I love it.

Glad someone found one... If anyone gets the file to print, this is just my advice, but I'd suggest getting it printed on a SLS in a Nylon, something that has very good strength and can withstand movement. Regular resin printers won't cut it, and even the Tough 2000 Resin I have, while just like plastic, might not be enough (although, I should still try to find my file and test it). There are other resins I can use that would be great for it, but their drawback is that they aren't really paintable. For those, nylon is probably best.
