    That looks amazing! Should do one with Guld pushing Isamu's VF-11 into the ground. Dusted off and started fiddling with the VF-27. This thing is a step back even from the renewals. A shame we never got a true renewal version VF-27 as she's a lovely bird.

    Thank you, sir. Nice shot! Funny that Bandai paints the landing gears on their HMR line but not their more expensive DX line. Back on their Yeti stands.

    You know, I haven't seen Southern Cross since it aired as part of Robotech in 1985, so I have no love or hate for the show as I don't remember much of anything about. The mecha look uninteresting though. Also, why is there a Mospeada thread here?

    That's a pretty good haul! Haven't purchased much myself due to all the shipping interruptions and high cost of DHL and FedEx.

    They're just paint bases. You can buy them at most hobby shops. (And yes, they're pretty much the same thing as those cardboard scratchers made for cats, just cheaper.) https://www.hlj.com/large-paint-unit-2pcs-ylsppc-n08 The clips are also widely available. https://www.hlj.com/useful-paint-clips-large-ylsppc-n11 Given the current shipping situation, I would find a domestic shop since the shipping is will be way more than the items (unless you combine shipping in PW like I did). Or just get a cat scratcher.

    I have a DHL shipment from Amazon that was supposed to arrive on Thursday last week. It got all the way to the distribution center in my city, then was inexplicably sent back to Cincinnati where it's been sitting since. Another DHL package from Mandarake that shipped later already arrive. No freaking idea why DHL is sitting on that package. I called them and they said they'd have to look into it and get back to me. What a nuisance. This isn't the first time DHL has almost delivered my parcel but then sent it back to Cincinnati only to have to send it back here a second time. It's like something out of the Simpsons.

    Looks great! Yeah gotta paint those landing gears. Bandai's unpainted landing gears are such an eyesore.

    Oh I've got a gigantic stash of decals I've been stockpiling over the years from anywhere I could get them, including printing some of my own. Pretty much done now. Just need to apply the final top coat, but I'll have to wait till tonight to do that, when the humidity is lower.

    Getting there. Had to do lots of touch ups for all the paint chips, scratches, and overall kinda crappy production quality of Bandai's releases of this period, in addition to fixing a lot of joints.
