I've managed a few over the years. But no recent 1/48s. Although preorders during the Frontier era were even worse than today. Here's a couple of successful orders.

I wouldn't bother checking Mandarake on PO day. They're a secondhand shop and their prices are dictated by the demand for and rarity of the item. You won't see the latest release on their site for a day or two at the absolute earliest.
-
But they'll more than make up the difference by gouging you on shipping. And possibly not ship it for several months.

I think the it looks great. The imperfections in the panel work give it some extra depth and grit to its appearance.

Your most recent Macross or toy purchase! General thread.

Looks good. Guess my old OD will be relegated to battroid duty. She's too lovely to transform and scratch up.

FedEx shipping from From Japan was 9523 plus 700 yen handling. Now the waiting game begins...

Hope Bandai remembers to include ejection seat markings in addition to fixing the arrows.

Can't wait to get mine. She looks great! Gonna give her a panel wash and maybe give Stick a paint job. -
On naval vessels you at least get a nice view of the sky and sea. On a spaceship you get a nice view of... nothing.

Never said any of it bothered me. Just questioning it from a practical perspective, as the guy was doing in the video. If being unrealistic is something that really bothered me, why would I be into a show about transforming jets and singing idols? Or anything in fiction, for that matter.

Every director has at least few stinkers on their CV that they would rather people forget about. And Batman & Robin was better than Batman Returns! RIP Mr Schumacher.

Wasn't Roy involved with the development of the VF-1?

TV style encompasses space and atmospheric helmets. Hikaru had the open-faced atmospheric helmet while Max had the closed-face space helmet.

Comparing the YF-19 and VF-19 is like comparing the YF-30 and VF-31. Same overall design, but will require 100% new parts. From a production standpoint, it's a completely new and different toy.

I've gotten ships like that. Looks like it was just poorly glued to the peg. Just put a drop of super glue and pop it back on.- 924 replies

I'm not hopeful at the prospect of an Arad 31A when Bandai won't even finish off the super packs for the squadron. Show came out four years ago. Four years after Frontier, we were almost done with the second version of the VF-25.

I saw that yesterday. The dude's pronunciation of "Macross" and listening to the Robotech dub physically hurt me. Anyway, it's the same reason the VF-1 has an old school antenna: because it was made in 1982. But he has many other good points. Like why is there a window on the bridge looking out into space? That's really useless and an extra vulnerability.

Dafuq? Sentinel designed it with space for a pin but opted not to actually put a pin in there?

I've been getting that a lot lately with DHL. WTF is going on with DHL's inability to send stuff to the right place? Just shipped my PW with my Legioss. Chose Fedex over DHL because I don't want to receive my stuff two weeks later than expected and beat up all to hell.

Was the VF-4 the only HMR Macross release this year? Looks like Bandai's releases are set for 2020.

Legioss: I was made from the crap leftover* from the VF-1 development?! *Twins reference
