Looks good. Guess my old OD will be relegated to battroid duty. She's too lovely to transform and scratch up.

FedEx shipping from From Japan was 9523 plus 700 yen handling. Now the waiting game begins...

Hope Bandai remembers to include ejection seat markings in addition to fixing the arrows.

Can't wait to get mine. She looks great! Gonna give her a panel wash and maybe give Stick a paint job. -
On naval vessels you at least get a nice view of the sky and sea. On a spaceship you get a nice view of... nothing.

Never said any of it bothered me. Just questioning it from a practical perspective, as the guy was doing in the video. If being unrealistic is something that really bothered me, why would I be into a show about transforming jets and singing idols? Or anything in fiction, for that matter.

Every director has at least few stinkers on their CV that they would rather people forget about. And Batman & Robin was better than Batman Returns! RIP Mr Schumacher.

Wasn't Roy involved with the development of the VF-1?

TV style encompasses space and atmospheric helmets. Hikaru had the open-faced atmospheric helmet while Max had the closed-face space helmet.

Comparing the YF-19 and VF-19 is like comparing the YF-30 and VF-31. Same overall design, but will require 100% new parts. From a production standpoint, it's a completely new and different toy.

I've gotten ships like that. Looks like it was just poorly glued to the peg. Just put a drop of super glue and pop it back on.- 924 replies

I'm not hopeful at the prospect of an Arad 31A when Bandai won't even finish off the super packs for the squadron. Show came out four years ago. Four years after Frontier, we were almost done with the second version of the VF-25.

I saw that yesterday. The dude's pronunciation of "Macross" and listening to the Robotech dub physically hurt me. Anyway, it's the same reason the VF-1 has an old school antenna: because it was made in 1982. But he has many other good points. Like why is there a window on the bridge looking out into space? That's really useless and an extra vulnerability.

Dafuq? Sentinel designed it with space for a pin but opted not to actually put a pin in there?

I've been getting that a lot lately with DHL. WTF is going on with DHL's inability to send stuff to the right place? Just shipped my PW with my Legioss. Chose Fedex over DHL because I don't want to receive my stuff two weeks later than expected and beat up all to hell.

Was the VF-4 the only HMR Macross release this year? Looks like Bandai's releases are set for 2020.

Legioss: I was made from the crap leftover* from the VF-1 development?! *Twins reference

No, that's par for the course for Bandai. The actions of other companies and subsidiaries is irrelevant.

New head sculpt looks kinda wack from that angle. What was wrong with the previous head sculpt that Bandai needed to redo it?

We'll just have to wait till we get a clearer scan of that page in the coming days/weeks. I think the incomplete Google translate gives enough of a gist of what's being said... I think. I really would like to be able to make out the text myself. Hasn't that always been the case since the dawn of Macross toy collecting? Yamato already did that with DYRL Roy, TV Roy, and TV Hikaru 1S releases.

Sweet! Can't wait till it's ready for shipping. That said, I'm not looking forward to the shipping cost. Given the size and weight of an Arcadia VF-0, DHL or Fedex shipping to the USA is going to be over 10000 yen, easily. EDIT: Took the size and weight listed on HLJ for the PF VF-0S and plugged it into From Japan's shipping calculator and it gave me these results (does not include proxy and domestic shipping fees): Surface: 2350 Fedex: 4627 DHL: 6760 Seems a bit on the low side, I think.

Google translate isn't perfect and sometimes screws up characters even on clearer text images than the super blurry one above.

I don't have kids, but I do have a younger sister and numerous cousins and some nieces but I'm not worried about them being adversely affected by a few anime figures as I and others are perfectly capable of separating fiction and reality. But I guess some people can't.
