Actually, everything starts with that... 'I'm not a Zero fan...' 'They are quite nice though.' Then next thing you know, you are bombard with great VF-0 photos. And with their Reactive Armors. And all that upcoming SV-51 talk. And basically, you will end up looking for one.

Yeah. Based on Arcadia's site Y37584 is the MSRP plus tax. MSRP is just Y34800. Initial PO price for this were: HLJ: 31,320 JPY NY: 28,920 JPY Ami: 29,700 JPY So nowadays, that Y33060 is already a good price. The only risk is that since this release didn't have reissue, there's still a chance that it will come with broken hip joints. But still, it's fixable.

Hahaha! For sure, your wallets and all the others on the other hand will weep with sadness.

Just in case anyone wants a VF-0A. HobbySearch has it for Y33060. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10325431

It wouldn't hurt to email NY with photos of the package. Their chat service is online too. See what they can do to help. I'm sure NY will ask if the box item is sealed or tampered (the 3 big tapes on the flap). In my opinion, this is the part where the 'blind item' or the 'box of chocolates you never know what you get' scenario. No stores will open each boxes just to see if the items is complete or not. Broken or not. I've bought a printer before and the store told me instead of returning it to their store for any problem or defect, it's best to contact the manufacturer instead. Which I did eventually, and it's great that my defective printer got replaced with brand new one again, free shipping and free returns on the defect one to their warehouse. It would be nice if the Japan Online stores are like this to their customers abroad. But as many members posted here before we, the customers abroad, are already screwed the moment we receive broken item, damage boxes, and broken parts and missing pieces. But for sure it's not the same over there. For sure they have great customer service too. Only if you live in Japan. And sadly, there's a lot of factors why they can't accommodate that to us. Sad but true.

Looking forward on this one.

Hahaha! Well, I really wanted a VF-1J TV CF but not in that astronomical prices. I'm just going to wait for the price to go up so that nobody will be able to afford it and then David will get stuck with his stock, then ofcouse in the end, he will consider to sell it to me in Yamato clearance price. That's a good plan. Right David? Probably that's like what 5 years from now? Or it probably not going to happen either.

Nah. Don't feel bad about it. You got his money, right?
-
Hey @Xigfrid. No, sad to say didn't order one yet. Though I can't remember, does it come with Lucy figure to ride with Isamu?

Ok. So I guess, it's the Lil Draken that do the rotating and not the Draken's wing. Good to confirm that based on this photo. Not a big fan of the Draken Battroid with the Lil Drakens attached to it so I don't need to use those extra support arms. But still not stopping on PO'ing the Lil Draken. Hehehe.

New Macross TV Series in 20xx (sometime this decade)
no3Ljm replied to Tochiro's topic in Movies and TV Series
6666 posts? Didn't notice that. But thanks! The reason why I'm referring to Gundam The Origin OAV, is I would like to see something like that caliber with the first SDFM series. Like a six to eigth 40mins episode remake but with an OAV approach. Superb animation, soundtrack and cinematic feel. I don't care if they're going to incorporate a bridge between the ending of Zero up to Boobytrap. But it would be nice to see something like that ala-Macross Pachinko clips in full animation. Or in full series. And for sure it would be nice to see stories when they were starting to build their Valkyries. As for the VF-1 Packs that was featured in the Macross The First which it was already been posted in its proper thread. I only wish that if they do a 'remake' somehow they don't include these. As much as I like to see new packs designs for the VF-1, I somehow hate these. Felt like Mikimoto is doing Gundam. Super Attacker Super Maneuver Super Cruiser Yeah. That's also my expression on the bottom part after I've seen this. Anyways, don't want to derail this topic anymore so let's head over to the Macross The First thread if we need to discuss about these ugly packs. -
Actually it will support fine. The wings where the Lil Drakens attached to has a retractable hinges. Which somehow locks in place when the wing is folded from the other half. Remember that in the anime the folded wing rotates with the Lil Drakens somehow but in this DX figure it doesn't. Not sure but I don't want to try it. So for curious ones out there, please refrain on doing it, you might end snapping the hinges. However, the only downside here is that those folded wings where the Lil Drakens attached to has a tab that locks the whole wing section to the legs. So when those wings are folded the rotating mid part of the wing is just resting on the shin part of the leg. What it means is that the rest of the wing section is not locked in place. A little bump or if the transformation is not lined properly, then the rotating mid section will move or rotate if the rotating joint is already loose. It would be nice if the area that rest on the leg's shin has potruding section to lock in the front part of the leg, as same as the one that locks the other half, it will help a lot to secure the rest of the wing section when the wing is folded.

Guess, it's like a proxy thing. You pay the local shipping and the international shipping. It's nice if they use PayPal but giving directly my credit card info is a no-no. Unless they're reputable. But don't want to risk it.

The only thing so far that I don't like from MtF is the VF-1's so-called 'Packs'. Oh and its 'release' schedule. Hehehe. Macross should consider something like Gundam The Origin OAV approach. -
To be honest, I don't know what to say...

I guess what Darotower meant is he wants an update on the SDFM animation. Whereas Macross The First is still in manga form and it's somehow a retelling of some sort of the original story. Would be nice too if there's an anime for The First.
