  1. It's kind of weird to think about but Doom 3 will most likely be over a decade old by the time the Doom 4 beta actually goes live. I mostly want to check out the beta because it has been so long since there's been a new doom game. :edit: also, if I get wolfenstein now, it'll give me a full week to beat it before Watch dogs comes out.
  2. BTW, Wolfenstein: The New Order comes out Tuesday, which makes tomorrow the last day to pre-order and get a Doom 4 beta key. Anyone else planing on picking this one up?
  3. They didn't get screwed by bandai, they got screwed by their supplier. And by supplier I mean the local brick and mortar shop they usually scalp from.
  4. Ok, this is probably another stupid question but I don't play fighting games so bear with me. It seems to me that what's generally regarded as the ideal control scheme for a fighting game is a proper arcade stick, so why is it that the Dpad is the preferred input method on controllers? wouldn't the analog stick be more directly analogous to a joy stick?
  5. BTW, having finally actually seen the hi-nu ver. ka sculpt; I don't really like it. The legs are really bulky and the backpack is huge. I think I'd rather get the regular Nu ver. Ka and paint it blue.
  6. I get that these are small but that's like the single least ambitious Gerwalk pose ever.
  7. wait, what? I'm so confused by this. so Hi-Nu is going to be web exlusive? WHY THE frakk WOULD YOU DO THAT BANDAI? and what's this HWS buisness? HWS was only for the Nu gundam. Anyways, the other two I could care less about. MG Unicorn is one kit I have zero interest in building and inspection color 7S is pointless to me since I would just end up painting over it anyways, which I could do cheaper with the existing blue version.
  8. that's maybe the second most clever way of finishing a Kit I've seen.
  9. stupid question; how are you even hooking up a PS1/PS2 controller to a PC? :edit: My XB1 should get here Tuesday, I hate waiting for stuff like this.
  10. so this is basically the new HGUC dendrobium: http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=TOY-GDM-2624&page=top
  11. Oh my god I want it so much... But I'd still like an old fashioned, barely articulated, giant blow molded vinyl godzilla. Anyways, Just got back from seeing it. It was awesome, and badass and everything I wanted it to be.
  12. Interesting, not sure if I like these colors more than the original though.
  13. it's a completely different figure of the same character in the same costume with basically the same pose. but one is kaitendo and the other is Orca; and the sculpt is definitely different. hair is more dramatic on the Orca one, her torso is longer and twisting more, the boobs are larger and her ass is smaller.
  14. I'm interested what the deal is with the blue polycap looking things.
  15. best way would be to find an appropriate diameter pin punch and tap it out slowly with a rubber mallet.
  16. Serious question; for those who consider VF-25/YF-29's to be hard/not fun to transform, what DO you consider a fun/easy to transform Macross toy? because of all the valks I've owned, the basic VF-25 is perhaps the single easiest and most intuitive to transform IMO.
  17. I kind of figured it would be something like that. bandai's thing as of late has been trying to find ways of getting around the upward price creep of MG lately.
  18. One of my favorite, very DAT ASS. I've seen her for cheaper on Manderake from time to time though. I've been going back and forth on getting the dark skinned repaint. http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-1551051.html
  19. I went ahead and modded the neck plate on my YF-29 after all. compared to the VF-25F, the disks that have to be drilled into are thinner, which made the whole process much more fiddly. took maybe an hour to do. my original post on the mod if you're interested: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=36536&p=1066782
