  1. I think you misunderstood me, what I meant was the part of the shoulders that swivels forward into the chest in battroid mode. On the YF-19 Yamato provided indentations, but the shoulders never really locked in properly. That's what I want changed for the VF-19.
  2. Zeta movies don't necessarily erase the whole of Double Zeta, it's only the direct beginning that would have to be re-written. The main characters and the first Neo Zeon rising are all still plausible. I hope one day Tomino will also do a Double Zeta movie trilogy thing. But please more darker and grittier in tone.
  3. That origami styled VF-4 looks ugly, I want something more akin to the Wonderfest model (?).
  4. For a 1/48 scaled Gundam, articulation seems pretty poor. Or maybe the pics aren't doing it justice.
  5. The wings for -19F/S stay as they are. It might look better in fighter mode (which I don't believe), but giant wings dangling left and right of the legs in battroid mode is just no go. Aside from the chest, I really hope they fix/resolve the hip area on the VF-19. The intakes and those triangular tabs behind them looked bad on the YF-19. Another thing that bugged me was the "scrunched" look when you bend the leg forward and knee backward. And the shoulders should lock into the chest firmly and not just loosely slot in.
  6. That might be true, but unlike Trek '09 they weren't made for 10 year olds and below...
  7. I must be the only one these boards that doesn't really like Blade Runner. I find the pacing of this movie to be horribly slooooooooooooooowwwwww. Anyway a personal favourite of mine is Event Horizon. The dimension screwing with your mind was an interesting and scary premise. Oh, and Laurence Fishburne was badass in this film.
  8. Here are a couple that I like... - L-Gaim: Time for L-Gaim [MIO] - Genmu Senki Leda: Yukue fumei no haato-tachi [Akimoto Rio] - Patlabor: Sono Mama no Kimi de Ite [Nitoh Yuko] - Sakura Wars: Geki! Teikoku Kagekidan - SPT Layzner: Melos no You ni ~ Lonely Way [Air Mail from Nagasaki] - Southern Cross: Hoshi no Deja Vu - Dragonar: Yume Iro Chaser [Mami Ayukawa] - Bismark (aka Saber Rider and the...): Call Me [MIO] - Dunbine: Dunbine Tobu [MIO] - Nadesico: You Get To Burning [satomi Arimori] (horrible engrish title but catchy nonetheless) - Silent Möbius: Kindan no Panseé [saori Ishitsuka] - Megazone 23: Senaka goshi ni Sentimental [Kumi Miyasato]
  9. So I watched all of Dunbine and the OVA called Tales of Neo Byston Well (with very poor subs). Can someone with more insight explain to me how Shott Weapon fits into the OVA? Basically What, When, Where, How? Did he enter future Byston Well after the end of Dunbine? Or can it be seen as him having actually entered future Byston Well first and then jumping back in time, taking with him all the knowledge of about aura powers/battlers?
  10. @ff95gj - Does the valk feel floppy or does it have potential of becoming floppy real fast? - What about the chest, does it tuck in snugly and lock properly? - How is hip articulation/range of motion? - Is transformation easier than 1/60 YF-19? Specifically does it make the step where you split the cockpit to slide down easier?
  11. Good news that they are going to be doing VF-19F/S (the ones I really want) and that they are putting real effort on the VF-1. As for the web exclusives, I don't really care when it comes to extra packs or armor. What worries me is when the VF-1 rolls out, that certain variants might be exclusive. e.g. VF-1A DYRL Hikaru mass release, but VF-1S DYRL Hikaru web exlusive...
  12. I think it looks fantastic in all modes and the pricepoit seems fair to me. Amazing what Bandai has pulled of here in 1/100 scale, especially when you compare it to Yamato's poor 1/60 YF-19.
  13. As long I don't have to deal with mouth pieces, boobs and speaker packs on Gundams in the main UC timeline, I can live with the ugly ones out there.
  14. What I wanted to point out was that Bandai changed the leg armor to allow for better knee articulation. This was originally one of the biggest complaints about Unicorn Gundam. Anyway Ngee Khiong updated his post with the following info: * New color for the body * New design elements incorporated, including the Vulcans on the head. * Improved joints for the waist and leg - waist can rotate for 360 degrees, leg's movable range upgraded by 150 percent. * New customized cage (? - 専用ケージ) included. Extra parts can be stored in the cage. The beam saber can be stored at the back of the base. Can combine with Action Display Base 1, all arms are movable. (Something like the factory container as seen in PG GP01/Fb I think) * 3 figures in 1/100 scale included: Banagher Links, Audrey Burns, and Marida Cruz * 3 types of antenna included: transformable, opened and closed types * Weapons: Beam Magnum, Hyper Bazooka, shield, beam saber (didn't say anything about the double beam Gatling) * 25 runners in total. Foil sticker, clear sticker and dry transfer decal included.
  15. There is a promotion/trailer video for the new OVA that can be accessed here: http://www.votoms.net/gen-ei/special/index.html Looks like Coconna and Vanilla got married... and some new guy that sort of has similarities with Chirico.
  16. Over at Ngee Khiong there is a preview image of MG Unicorn Gundam OVA Ver. and immediately this caught my eye... Apart from that, there doesn't seem to be that much of a difference, maybe the V-crest looks slightly different.
  17. Bandai has already listed MG Unicorn Gundam OVA Ver. There will be special and standard box variants sold. Anyway here are my predictions for 2010... MG: - V2 Gundam - Banshee (black Unicorn) - Gundam 00, and later super pursuit... Trans-Am mode - more GMs using 2.0 frame - last quarter of 2010 I expect Stark Jegen and Geara Zulu - at least one new 2.0 MG, my tip would fall on NT-1 Alex - and as a surprise release RX-78-7 the one from that 0081 game PG, pessimistic on this line and the neglect for UC MS will probably continue: - re-colour Astray, probably Gold Frame instead of blue (just to be different from MG line) - re-colour Gundam 00 => Trans-Am mode - Exia Gundam, considering base material is already provided by Gundam 00 Ghost Train I hope your gut feeling for Nu Gundam comes true, because I'd love to see this. Although I'm not sure I really want to get this nowadays as the MG scale seems to be the better one for me.
  18. You must be living in a very sad universe if you are looking for boobs on HLJ...
  19. I'm a battroid fan, so my wants and wishes are purely based on this aspect Easy ones: - SIDE COVERS!!! - neck cover - DYRL fixed posed fists - new fast/strike pack arm pieces that are shorter and allow for better movement when the valkyrie is using all four missile hard-points Hard ones: - a new alternate fuselage piece for battroid mode incorporating the following: -- a waist joint like the 1/48 valks -- more detailed cockpit that either rotates or is already vertically positioned -- slideable cockpit seat - add a new chestplate with a cut-out in the middle that can be removed and swapped with a clear piece, so the new detailed fuselage/cockpit can be seen Yamato can gladly omit the front landing gear, and use the extra space for the above mentioned.
  20. It's classic MW: When something goes wrong in Macross, it's got to be either Gundam, Bandai or HG fault!!!
  21. Great news, as I really enjoyed Code Geass. Wonder if it's going to be a "Season 3" continuation or a remake of the story with new twists and tweaks?
  22. Well I finished watching all of Armored Trooper Votoms universe that is available - yes Mellowlink too - this last weekend. I even made it a point to watch the TV, OVAs and movies in chronological order. All I can say is... WOW! This is a masterpiece for the real robot genre, in fact Macross feels very corny compared to Votoms as though the parody status was never dropped. All that is left for me to watch now is Heretic Saint and the newly announced OVA. There doesn't seem to be a fansubbing group that has done Heretic Saint is there...?
  23. Well I've got the MG Gundam Unicorn and overall I think Bandai did an OK job with the two modes and transformation between them. Like everybody else I'm a bit disappointed about lack of articulation, but more annoying for me are that several bits and pieces in NT-D mode don't really properly klick and lock-in. The other thing I noticed, is a slight off balance in proportions between arm length and legs in NT-D mode and the somewhat small-ish head. So again, I do think Bandai gave us a workable representation of the Gundam Unicorn, but at the same time I wish for a MG NT-D mode only Unicorn like HGUC to eliminate most of the problems I mentioned above.
