  1. Every time Nemesis and the damage the -E sustained is mentioned, I always imagine Picard sitting on the edge of his chair, face-palming and asking why his Enterprise doesn't have a neck and saucer separation. Lack of attention to plausible external details has sadly always been Star Trek problematic. Remember DS9, why was the Federation sending out Galaxy-class ships WITH saucer attached to fight the Dominion??? Back on topic: Watched the first 10 episodes, slow and a bit on the boring side (like season 1 of DS9). I hope the pacing in the episodes pick up a bit. Oh, and I really wish the trend with shaky cams and constant zooming in and out would just DIE!!!!
  2. Good news. Glad they are putting in Hikaru as the pilot and not that drunkard womanizer. Now if Yamato would start making it a standard practice to through in the side and neck covers with every VF-1...
  3. Could someone who has this, post pictures of how nosecone and fuselage join up. I would like to know if there is actually a "waist joint" there that Yamato just glues up. Effort would be appreciated, thank you.
  4. Woah, such a line-up and they didn't include the "Muscles from Brussels" in this?
  5. Same for me. Late afternoon (CET) MW forums become inaccessible.
  6. If any Bandai Japan employees are reading this: WE NEED SIDE COVERS, PLEASE!!!
  7. I'm guessing it's going to be the fast packs. Someone refresh my memory, was the VF-19 ever shown with fold booster in M7?
  8. A picture says more than a thousand words... Looks great, love the new pop out missile leg bay.
  9. I don't know, I'm disappointed with the two new plamo lines Bandai's released lately. 1/48 has poor articulation for kit that size. And no, you do not need an inner frame to make it more pose-able. Double jointed knees and elbows should standard for something this big. Real Grade annoys me that it's 1/144 scale. If they packed the simplicity of HG, articulation of MG and detail of PG into 1/72 scale subjects it would have been so much better.
  10. My, how things come around. I think I got a mouthful from you after complaining about the look of the legs and feet of the 1/60 YF-21. So I'll just return the favour using your own words... "And if you like your toy's all fat and bloated like trailer trash at MacDonald, that's your problem."
  11. Unjustifiable critique, considering Yamato sells their VF-11 for 200+$ with very plain fast packs, no stand and not much anything else, but it is only slightly bigger than a VF-1 which in turn only goes for an average of ~150$. Or if I use your transformer comparison, I could get an MP-04. That has die-cast content and comes with a trailer and other nifty extras. Or I could probably get an MP seeker + Grimlock for that money. Heck, lets take the comparisons even further... with the exception of Zeta, GP01 and Gundam 00 I could get a nicely detailed and bigger Perfect Grade Gundam for 200$ or less. So is Bandai's pricing really that unreasonable?
  12. I find GNOMES Panel/Start Menu to be quite primitive in look and feel compared to KDE.
  13. This looks outstanding. Good stuff Bandai's making here. At this point the only thing I'm missing are some side covers. I hope they include them from start and one up Yamato on this.
  14. And exactly what problems do the two share??? As for being a parts-former, if plastic pieces break off then it was at least by design....
  15. I fail to understand why everybody keeps whining about Bandai doing the same (popular) valks. Its not as though Yamato started their Patlabor stuff with the Brocken, Helldiver or Griffon. Or what about Votoms... first release was a Scopedog, not a Fatty, Tortoise or Diving Beetle. So sit tight, drink a cup a of tea or stare at some line art and eventually your favourite non-mainstream VF will be produced.
  16. Yeah it's a good thing Yamato hasn't started competing with various other "old" franchises from Bandai, CM's, Takara, ... Or even worse, some type action figure line like Kaiyodo's Revoltech. It's really fantastic that Yamato doesn't need to compete with anybody.
  17. Agree. Out of all the AU Gundams out there, it has to be a third Wing Gundam!? On the other hand, the reason for no MG Gundam X could be that they're making HG 1/144 Gundam X. Agree again. The colours on Wing Gundam have always made it look cheap to me too. It's as though they took inspiration from cheap Chinese knock-off toys, when it comes to the colours. As it is, if I ever buy a MG Wing Gundam then it's either going to be Ver. KA or Zero Custom.
  18. Exclusives or not, I'll get this because its battroid already looks a million times better than Yamato's half assed approach.
  19. That would be quite ironic, considering further top right we have a banner add for Yamato... (Never been a fan of the banner on MW) And somebody explain to me why it's (still) Bubblegum Crisis?

  23. It's been a while since I've watched the Zeta movies, but I think Axis was rammed into the Gates of Zedan or something. I don't think it was ever implied that the Federation or AEUG took control of it in the 3rd movie.
  24. Yeah we do, but last time I checked Yamato doesn't sell the pilots individually.
  25. TV -1S? Sure, but I want it with a Hikaru pilot, not Roy.
