  1. Alright, I had to completely disassemble the body just to get these two parts. I originally missed the step where the upper piece has to be turned 180 degrees.
  2. Yeah I started having a suspicion that I might have built it wrong. Thanks for the hint, I'll look into it now.
  3. Alright, for fun I wanted to transform my MG Gundam Unicorn from NT-D back to standard mode. I have got everything done, but for the life of me I can't seem to get the torso/stomach area to collapse!? No matter how much force I have used, I still have a slight gap between the two pieces. Anybody with some advice, is there a trick to this?
  4. Why have we adopted a second thread for this toy!!! I already opened one over the weekend. All it needs is its title to be updated.
  5. Sure you can have your 2.0 Guncannon AFTER they have done - Nu Gundam 2.0 - V2 Gundam - Xi Gundam - Penelope Gundam - Gundam Mk.III - NT-1 Alex 2.0 - GP01/02/03 2.0 - Double Zeta 2.0 - Sazabi 2.0 - Jegan - Geara Doga - Marasai - Gaplant Anything but OYW stuff!!!
  6. Are we following the same thread? The majority of post have been nothing but the following - hate on the supposed size/scale - hate on the materials mix-up (metal/plastic) used - hate on the price, which hasn't been confirmed - hate that it is a VF-1 again That doesn't really equate to speculation to me.
  7. I was looking at that and I'm not sure if the head really has the sunken placement. Either Bandai "cheats" by not making the chest plate move down or somebody didn't quite assemble/transform the prototype correctly. Personally I'm going with the latter, because there are certain signs pointing to this. - the clear plastic piece looks to have a slight indentation at the top end, which the chestplate could slide over - the top edge alignment between chestplate and main backplate is wrong, also making the shoulders look like they are hanging low Some other observations: - VF-1 will have landing gears, be it integral or part swap - hands will have to be added/removed between transformations - elbows look like they are double jointed - modern version of side-bars instead of t-bar - legs look like they have two swivel joints, above the knees and directly below the intakes - nosecone also seems to have a swivel joint - canopy/heatshield will have to be swapped - thruster pack behind backplate sits higher compared to Yamatos My verdict so far: Can match Yamato's sculpt accuracy, but looks to be better in the articulation department
  8. Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a new fighter (excuse pun) entering the ring. No real info here, could also be model instead of a toy. Mods, when more info is available I'll leave it up to you to straighten thread title or to move it to the model section.
  9. There is a couple of possibilities here: - a 1/72 scale line, popular with modelers but absolutely not covered by Gundam - a line for all the space-/battleships - and maybe a line for all the mobile armors In other news, MG GN-X has been announced as well as a 1/48 RX-78-2 Gundam which equates to a whopping 37.5cm in height! For pics look here -> Ngee Khiong While I am OK with the mix-up Bandai does in MG line, I am also a bit annoyed at this latest release. GN-X has been in existence for what, 2 years? And it's getting a release already. The Jegan and Doga have existed since '88 and still nothing! I'm getting to the point where I think MG line has to split and have something separate like MGUC and MG. As for the 1/48 Gundam, wow, but it's RX-78 so I'm not really interested. I'm still waiting for my PG RX-93 Nu Gundam Bandai!!! I could swear I saw a pic of the Metal Fix Gundam 0 last week somewhere. So I don't think they have dropped it.
  10. I have always presumed that the low sales rate of the AB and most of the other (non-)canon variants later on was down to fact of being yet-again another A-head Valkyrie. I think there was like exactly 3 variants with S-head, 5-6(?) J-heads and gazillion A-heads with the 1/48 line.
  11. Not sure I understand you correctly, but do you mean saucer separation is implemented poorly or are you not a fan of this feature on Galaxy-class ships? Oh and any scale? Looks like 1/2500 to me?
  12. More shots of the Ent-D please. Who makes it, what scale and does it saucer separate?
  13. You're right, but what's really annoying are those who are bothered by "those who are so bothered". How hard can it be to ignore that?
  14. Speak of the devil, more detailed pic over here -> Ngee Khiong Wow super ugly I must say, I can't believe MW members like this and at the same time have the nerve to criticize the VF100/Hi-Metal line. That's like France going to the World Cup because of cheating...
  15. Anybody using Windows 7 (32bit) and CCCP together, suffering from a slow Windows Explorer? I had to redo my system and re-installed everything except CCCP and now Explorer is back to its standard quickness. I'm speculating that it's the Matroska Shell Integration stuff. Any alternatives, how good is the shark007 Win7 codec pack?
  16. Even if all that were possible, who would want that!? Yamato's YF-19 is in every essence flawed, relying on horrible usage of tension and friction. To use it as your base to make a good VF-19F/S is probably going to be a futile attempt.
  17. Well that's the problem with CCA, the ending leaves you guessing. If we ignore the brain thing for a moment, then the movie leaves no conclusive clues as to whether Amuro lives or dies.
  18. If we're talking about the Jegan, then I wouldn't hold my breath. The Jegan was introduced with CCA and to this day there is still no MG representation. Yup, she's Mineva alright. I'm really excited about this anime (and that's rare), can't wait to get my hands on the DVDs
  19. Yup, that's the game. Until you mentioned Amuro's brain, I always assumed that Amuro and Char either survived both physically and mentally intact or disappeared and sort of ascended to a higher level of Newtype-ism. I have always preferred the former and the brain thing makes that more of a concrete fact. Anyway I love CCA except for the ambiguous ending, should have been a conclusive and positive ending for Amuro.
  20. Technically this doesn't classify as a Gundam show, but I think this prelude to Mobile Suit Gundam Battlefield Record U.C. 0081 game is quite good and I wanted to share. Enjoy.
  21. Yes, you can use the SATA 3.0 Gb drive on the 1.5 Gb connector. The different SATA versions are not mutually exclusive of each other.
  22. Looks bad, I'm sticking with Bandai's VF100/Hi-Metal line. At least I get a proper scale and the various modes have decent to good appearance.
  23. At the cost of having a cockpit with pron star proportions... no thank you!
  24. I'm asking you Bandai, are you currently producing VF-19s in China!? Don't wait for the translation, answer 'yes' or 'no'!
