STAR WARS Merchandise Episode - 2
Knight26 replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
http://www.gunjap.net/site/?p=280535 This is the first time I have seen the two side by side. Overall I like the planform of the design. The new wing shape looks good, but I still don't like the mid-chord split. The sleeker nose has a nice profile and the canopy has been stretched forward. I would like to see a good side view to see if that is because the cockpit has been raised to provide better forward visibility. If the wings did not split at all I would almost love the design. The narrower nose profile however leaves it looking slightly needle nosed due to the lower bulk. Some kind of forward chines, canard, or even an extended LERX off the main wings would really make the design pop. The smaller engines and laser cannons don't even bother me, technology improves and things get smaller as a result. I also did some playing around in PS to see how I might have changed the T-70. It is rough, but creates a more robust and balanced design I think. Plus I would straight up move the wing split outspan of the engines and not have the split be mid chord. True, it would not longer be a true X shape, but it would show a design successor. -

The Yankee Huey and Zulu Cobra have been flying since the early 2000s. They feature a common engine and tail block, great concept and the Marines are loving them.

The FAA office is in Renton, too far from the ferry docks to walk, and it costs a lot more to drive a vehicle across.

Welcome back, I published my first book last year, then separated from my publisher and went KDP. Never looked back, it's worked out great. Book 0 and Book 2 should be out soon if my Editor can get moving faster. -
I live over in Silverdale, near Bremerton, but take a vanpool to Renton where I now work for the FAA. I get reimbursed for that, it's great. If our new building was nearer to the ferry terminal I would just take that once we move. It is so much nicer up here I can't believe it.

That is the case for a lot of engineers in SoCal though. I made more than that working at EAFB and on my income alone it was hard living. Moving up to the Seattle area has been much better for us, despite CoL being about the same. But up here we can make it work much better on a single income. The 70K AeroEngr in SoCal is still based on the idea of a multi-income household. But then I am pretty anti-SoCal, always have been.

If you ever compare the revell and the bandai kits there is a huge difference in quality, detail, proportions, and scaling. The Bandai kits are hands down some of the best out there for those who don't have the skill/patience for the higher end kits.

Frag me sideways people, I have seen even the most intelligent people I know posting this crap. It is not a stealth hornet. It is a hornet that has had its wing and forward fuselage removed and then was fully plastic wrapped. AMARG used to do that a lot more as a means to save space. However the time need to wrap and unwrap became too costly so they do the simpler wraps we are used to. They still experiment with larger scale wraps and that is all this is!!!

Frothy I used to work at Edwards I know what you mean. Now I live in Silverdale, working for the FAA, I miss the sound of jet noise some days.

The brakes jammed on landing forcing it off the runway. Reportedly the damage is minor, some prop repair, clean up, and of course, fixing the brake issue.

In sexy airplane news. A replica of the second sexiest airplane to ever exist, right behind the YF-23, flew for the first time, 75 years after the original was built. The Bugatti 100p https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yZdrvgV4qE

I am not saying this as a hater. But I do not care for that design of the gunport door. I realize that is just another in a long line of design compromises, but come on. I very much see that door snapping or jamming during inflight firing trials just by how much it is jumping around in the static test. Bu then with that gun blister they didn't have much choice. The gun cover for the Pak-Fa is a far more elegant solution, but then using a single barrel cannon afforded them that ability. The F-35 Gatling cannon requires the larger opening.
