  1. I'm still surprised by the lack of mass retail collectables for these 2 films. Asides the gummy McFarlane figures and the Lego wallet bruising set, there isn't anything else. Looks like they're not aiming for younger or collector audiences? The lack of miniatures both in diecast and plastic is rather baffling, especially how brands like hotwheels is milking licenses on that turf.
  2. Nope. Anything SDF and DYRL related will not have worldwide releases, if not indefinitely.
  3. Bandai needs to release this!!!
  4. Wow!!! I'm impressed. This HG line needs to go full lightspeed with releases.
  5. First one had charm. From the second film, it was like buckets of rusty bolts and carburetors thrown at the screen non stop. Bumblebee was ok, but I stopped right there. I really like the weathering here.
  6. I spared myself from watching, so I don't know what Transformium is exactly 😅
  7. Could be the connection part for the stand to hold it in dynamic poses.
  8. Maybe with nano machines like how Tony Stark would do it. 😅
  9. Aha, thanks for clearing that up. I understand your preferences as I'm like that with other things I collect and build. But on Valks, I'm guilty of wanting this much of Tampo.
  10. Really curious to know why you want to remove the tampo?
  11. Yup. I thought at least some Xmas pictures by Bandai...

There's a bit of a common pattern with Bandai. When they show something without any release indication but then within a year it appears again in another event or is in a magazine article, then it's in the eventual pipelines and we just need patience. Look at the YF-21. Until there's that second follow up, we shouldn't get out hopes up... not even a bare minimal.

True, and now they can use the Hasegawa kit as a bench mark.
  14. The West will likely have to wait for the BR of this.
  15. Looks even better here. But I think I might hold off for the eventual VF Max or Moon base version.
  16. The way I see it now, unless there's using cheating partsforming ala HG, no ways the line art will ever work in physical form in capturing all 3 modes 100% along with all the gimmicks in a hand held scale. But still, that long nose on battroid while its short in plane mode, really baffles me along with the huge area behind the shoulders.

Bandai uses a Jupiter calendar when it comes to anniversaries.
  18. It will be. All new releases bar exclusives, and SDF and DYRL related is a global release from 2 years ago.

I think it looks quite dated in detail and sharpness. Very much like a early Robot Spirits. Image says it all... 2015.
  20. Of course, they didn't have Hollywood's mega expensive producers, expensive actors, expensive directors, several expansive offshore VFX studios each doing a single lamppost falling over, and the VFX mostly in house was done with a mix of practical and CG. So yeah, 15 million makes sense, unlike the crazy numbers Hollywood drops. Hopefully Hollywood learns that smaller production teams of skilled and talented people (and passionate above all), get the job done better.
  21. What??? It looks better than all the shiny eccentric CGI mess of the Hollywood versions.
  22. For this year's series, the boxes are confirmed. Get a scale app, test it to see if your phone has 3D pressure sensitivity, and if it does, check youtube for the weight video and use that to get the figures at stores. Otherwise, get a pocket scale or Brinklink. I got the Marvels I wanted via brinklink at retail price, only cause I was too lazy to go to our Lego store which slightly cuts a slit in the box to see which one it is, and marks it on the box. (Some Lego stores in Europe do this, the Vienna actually sells them assembled.
