  1. Based on Hiryu's experience, I do wonder if vapors from SC40 alone is enough to remove yellowing without the need to apply it directly to the item. That would reduce or eliminate the need to perform any type of risky disassembly. Some interesting videos on the topic: Adventures in Retrobrite - New techniques for restoring yellowed plastic! Retrobrighting with just Sun? This forum says yes

    Tamashii Nation 2019 is October 25 to 27 I believe. https://tamashii.jp/special/tamashii_nation/?wovn=en
  3. Something like this: Toy Figurines | How It's Made
  4. I thought this was settled way back in October. And the armor parts do not fit the KOs. If anything they made most of their molds off of the Yamato Assembly Kits.
  5. Your wish has been answered! Max and Milia are available for pre-order! I'm not sure why as you can still get those for retail. But they are about $130 American. Not the variants you were looking for I'm guessing.
  6. I never really thought about it, but that is entirely the wrong SDF-1 on those VHS covers.
  7. China devalues their Yuan. I wonder if we will see a price drop on these. So far nothing. If the price drops low enough, I may pick one up to abuse at work. The supers are no sale though.
  8. I've never seen you so careful with a toy in a review ever. That said a lot. I'm still undecided on picking up one of Sentinel's upcoming new version. It promises to be the best but I'm expecting the price will be north of 30,000 yen.
  9. I would imagine that that is the way of the world. Robotech has little new content and has difficulty growing its fan base. Macross has new content and is able to grow it's fan base. That being said, the average anime fan may not have easy access to Macross outside of Japan. MW members excluded of course.
  10. I generally do not watch dubbed anime, so I don't know who most of these people are. Unless you were directly involved with one or more of these alleged incidents or know someone personally who was, all we can do is speculate. Any accusation of sexual harassment and sexual assault should be taken very seriously until it is proven or dis-proven. As far as sexual harassment goes, it is sexual harassment based on how the woman (or man) feels abut the encounter. If the interaction, with a sexual nature, was unwanted, unwelcome, made them feel uncomfortable or disgusted, then it IS sexual harassment. Will people lie about sexual harassment or sexual assault for revenge or out of hate? Sure. That's why we have a legal process to try to sort these things out. The bottom line is that we have far too many traumatized women (and men) in this world; we DON'T need any more. I personally know three women that have been victims of sexual assault and/or abuse. They are a mess. They have an extremely difficult time trusting anyone as well as a multitude or other issues from their experience.
  11. Why'd you have to go there? Strapping seats to mines does NOT make them a bomber. That being said, I totally agree with you.
  12. I'm no aircraft engineer, but would the vertical stabilizers even do anything with all that stuff in front of it?
  13. I have co-workers that loved Robotech when they were young, but all they've ever done was watch it on TV. They've even owned toys, but they've never looked any further than that. Everything that is Macross, Southern Cross, or Mospeada is Robotech to them. They have even owned Orguss toys without knowing anything about it.

Mikumo Guynemer is the one with all the scary legal issues. Best to avoid that one.
  15. I've looked into this a bit. The hydrogen peroxide ends up being a surface treatment. People claim that it does reduce the brittleness of the plastic in addition to the whitening. There are ways to get the bromine entirely out of the plastic, but that requires Chemistry Lab equipment and chemicals. There are several threads about this and you can go too far and burn the plastic as one Macross World member did.
  16. I remember seeing that drawing. I didn't notice that they made that happen. Kind of a VF-4 style nose cone fold. The whole torso seems to have been redesigned.
  17. OMG the pilot faces the ground in soldier mode! Not that it would really matter in space...
  18. I would think that the seat should rotate for pilot comfort in armo-soldier mode. Seems a bit tight for that.
