  1. Nice to see that their English site is back up. It was under "maintenance" for quite some time.
  2. No surprise, it split when I tried to push it on. I think I may have at least 3 options. 1) Coat the pin area in petroleum jelly and try to glue the part back together in place. 2) Ask my co-worker to 3D print me some replacements (maybe 10). 3) Try to find a parts Valkyrie.
  3. Usually within a day or less based on past experience.
  4. So I'm wondering if this is something that can legally be done for discussion's sake. When I was growing up I had a classmate up the street. On Halloween they would head out early in the evening, collect candy, sort out what they wanted to keep, and then hand out the remaining candy to visitors to their hours. Following the same train of thought: If a retailer "allowed" their employees to purchase items on pre-order from any retailer (including themselves), then open up later to the public. Once stock was exhausted, they then "allow" employees to re-sell their items on the company website for a percentage of their profits. Is this type of practice illegal? and if so what is it called?
  5. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement (Quick-Setting) (Acetone, Butyl Acetate, Methyl Ethyl Ketone) was in effective. Based on my research, that tells me that the plastic is not Polystyrene (PS), Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), or Polyvinyl chloride (PVC). I just picked up a bottle of Plastruct Plastic Weld (Methylene Chloride (dichloromethane), Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK)). So far it seems to be working. I'll try to apply a bit of pressure on it in a few hours. If this fails, I'm moving on the the plastic specific super glues. Going to give it a full 24 hours to cure before I try to reattach it. You need to look really closely to see where it broke.
  6. Speaking of.... This happened. I've only transformed this twice! This is like my 6th HMR VF-1. I tried Tamiya Extra Thin Cement (Quick Setting). So far I've tried it three times and It dosen't seem to be holding. I'm reluctant to fool around with it more at the moment for fear of the part fully separating and then I'd have to deal with alignment issues. Is there a better product for the HMR plastic? Did I use the wrong type of Cement? I haven't done anything with plastic models in over 20 years!
  7. I agree. I would very much like to see it as I got into Macross collecting a year after Arcadia released their version of it. It would be nice if they also included parts to go between TV and Movie versions.
  8. Amazon America sent me a Takeya water flask in a padded envelope. It had a dent in it. I sent it back and they sent me a replacement, again, in a padded envelope! The 2nd one arrived with no dents.
  9. You could have an excessively long peg or the corresponding hole may have something in it that shouldn't be there. Those pegs weren't the easiest to line up for me at least.
  10. I'm not sure if I want to go with Amazon.co.jp and DHL in the future. I received my box a day early, but the was obviously dropped and/or crushed several times. The cardboard shipping box is very thin and the Valkyrie box is shrink-wrapped and glued to the bottom of the shipping box. The Valkyrie was fine, but I have box damage. Amazon also stuck a barcode sticker to my box. Fortunately, the barcode sticker pealed off easily. My box traveled excessively far. It went from Nagoya, to Ohio, to California, then way the hell back to my home on a "Rock in the middle of the Pacific." The VE-1 is lovely however.
  11. Packaged with both Roy and Hikaru? I think I need a CF VF-1A. There seems to be a brownie shortage.
  12. Views stolen by Facebook? Is that still something that's going on?
  13. Well we all want it. Having space for it is an entirely different issue. The question is whether or not you can even land on during PO madness.
  14. "Cheaper" For DX Bandai released is a relative term for me. The base Valkyrie is cheaper, but Bandai will nickle and dime us for all the accessories that Arcadia has been including on their 1:60 releases. The total cost of the 1:48 Valkyrie, Missile set, Strike/Super parts set, and shipping for each will be more than what Arcadia is asking. But you do get a bigger, more updated Valkyrie.
  15. OverTechnology = Anime Magic?
  16. When I purchased my Yeti Stand Alphas it did take some time. It was highly dependent on what he had on hand at the time and when he would get restocked from his suppliers. In my opinion, they are well worth the wait.

I hope there is a Macross HMR announcement soon. My CDJapan points are going to start expiring next month.
  18. You forgot to mention that they could always move to a larger place for more display and storage space.
  19. I know, right? But if you think about it, what you just said is what terrorist propaganda would sound like. Nice set-up! And "The Truth" can be whatever you want to to be depending on your point of view. Plus cherry picked facts and wording also help a lot.
  20. I have recently concluded that the "Empire" is the legitimately elected government. Thus, the "Rebels" are no more than a terrorist organization trying to overthrow it!
  21. Headmasters and Powermasters Transformers! They came after MOSPEADA I think. Uchuu no Senshi (Starship Troopers) is also late 80's though the book was 1959. I believe this should be common knowledge for those in this forum?

Only because I stumbled upon it! I know it was a month ago. 1:48 Regult and Gulag. What dose the rest of your display shelf/case look like?
