  1. Bandai has lower cost to produce, and retailers will sell Bandai stuff at lower margins. That's just the reality of things.
  2. Release date for the Bandai YF-19 was September 2018, it's been over 3 years. Also the Bandai had a MSRP of 27,000yen (according to Anymoon, or 27,500 on hobby search). The Arcadia isn't as expensive in comparison due to the Bandai release being a "full set" with all the extra stuff included.
  3. TBH, that's probably at least one reason they're not. Competing directly against Bandai on a YF-21 release, at current Arcadia prices, would be suicide.
  4. Just realized, Max was actually the first VF-1 I got. The HMR Max.
  5. I already have a Yamato one, so unless there's some improvements I'll probably pass. I hope at the very least they tighten up the waist bend, that's super loose on the old one.
  6. So far it's just one more in a long line of HMR prototypes shown. It may not even get produced (see: Tomahawk, Scout Regult, N-ger, Phalanx, VF-1EX).
  7. Not really a shelf warmer, since the initial release sold out, more of something they actually produced enough of to meet demand.
  8. Nothing wrong with an old password, so long as it's secure and not re-used elsewhere.
  9. Tried to order a Roundfacer, but no dice with my Proxy, they said they weren't able to get it for me.
  10. Well, since they did the D, they have the 2-seater mold already, but yeah P-Bandai/TWE.
  11. Nah, I’m saying since the 21 needs too much anime magic to ever make a perfect transformation toy that looks good and accurate in all 3 modes, they may as well prioritize the one that has been done dirty prior, rather than compete with the Yamato in its best form.
  12. I'm hoping they focus on Battroid, since that's where the Yamato really suffers. Also the legs could benefit from some re-engineering and newer plastics. Plus I've already got 2 yamatos for fighter mode.
  13. I dunno, still better than the last anniversary Arcadia VF-1…
  14. This is what's keeping me from using my Photon, stuck indoors working from home next to where my printer is. Resin smells so bad...
  15. I believe I’ve seen someone mix phosphorescent powder into normal paint before. There are also phosphorescent art paints. Check the workshop forum, I recall someone doing a custom PF SDF-1 with glow paint there.
  16. Thanks for nipping this in the bud @Shawn
  17. FWIW, that's apparently what they did with the UCS Star Destroyer apparently, the whole thing is sized around the dome element in the ventral hull.
  18. FYI, it’s already up at HLJ: https://www.hlj.com/riobot-deformation-coalescence-gurren-lagann-set88775
  19. That looks pretty good, though I think the one from CCS toys looks better. This is a bit more anime accurate, and has some additional gimmicks. I wonder how they’ll measure up.
  20. It does not, and the 0D PF also has a few other improvements from the later releases, like a few gap covers. Also the 0D is technically a hero unit, since Shin flew it.
  21. VF-0D PF has not just tampo but also painting and panel lining. Also the original 0D release had the leg issue. Mainly though I think it's the paint scheme and the delta wing. Even the non PF are going for like $400-450 last I saw.
  22. I have the steel legends one, and apart from some tight joints it’s great. Few if any paint flaws, lots of detail, big and heavy yet everything stays in place when posed.
  23. Those Bandai kits are surprisingly nice. Easy build, transform well/easily, and a decent amount of detailing.
