  1. Congrats @wm cheng, & seeing the 3 bikes together on the shelf is really nice. But more than that, your pics are great, love the poses & the subtle wash really levels up the toy bringing out the details in just the right amounts. I really wished Yamato would have proceeded for metallic finish on the other 3 Motoslaves, even though I’m at least thankful Priss’s got that treatment.
  2. From Gokin.it forums: Plus couple of comparisons: Rest of pics:
  3. Pic from Sajmay Lau. Obviously lighting affects some, but the colour tone of the 0A looks more like the older Yammies.
  4. Completely agree. It really should be on regular reissue since the last one was quite a while ago, though now I’m just thinking - what about the 50th 1J? Obviously the missiles color won’t match the 50th, & Bandai should have announced some smoked or dark chrome colored missiles bundled in with the valk.
  5. Available at HLJ: https://www.hlj.com/hi-metal-r-vf-0a-phoenix-shin-kudo-use-qf-2200d-b-ghost-banc660848
  6. Yeah anime accurate & I suppose we can rationalise why it is drawn as such. Hasegawa’s do provide an alternate interpretation that’s also equally sensible, & am just pointing it out because these kinda minutiae might matter to some folks. I personally am not so affected by these details, but cool if pointed out which part has relevance to real-life jets to geek out on, & which ones are changed to accommodate sensibilities in Macross universe.
  7. I've seen Hasegawa 1/48 missiles being modded to fit the DX. They might actually look better because Hasegawa's have longer pylons, so doesn't sit as close to the wings as the DX ones. I have a soft spot for these GNU-Dou VF-1s, and was trying to collect them all. Unfortunately, the price has shot up quite a bit recently, and doesn't seem to abate anytime soon, even if the HMR has displaced most of them. Another whammy that I found out recently, is that these VF-1s tend to yellow very easily just from oxidation, not at all like the white plastics used for late Yamato / Arcadia valks, and seem to be even worse than Bandai ones. My Max 1A has similarly discolored after being out of packaging for only about couple of years which is quite a bummer.
  8. Well, after the BW & HG deal, FB2012 was officially available on Youtube almost immediately for a limited time so there's no blockade for that. Now, what mecha can we have from that.. The VF-4 and Megaroad. *hint Bandai* *hint Arcadia!*
  9. I think you are right, it is the red that's predominantly at the biggest surface areas. I pulled out Isamu's 29 again, and the back-heaviness doesn't look as egregious to my eyes. Paint scheme can really alter appearances..
  10. Hachette 1/100 Air Fighters Collection #13 - Saab JAS 39 Gripen. Quite stoked to have scored this. I think there were only a couple of diecast 1/100 Gripens ever made - this one from Hachette a few years ago, and an even older one from Italeri. I missed this Hachette release then, and since then due to rarity, prices have climbed quite a bit (2-3x, although the final $$ isn't that much). So when one popped up below MSRP recently, I've never clicked 'buy' quicker. Aren't the Gripens just a beauty...
  11. Got myself a loose CharaWorks 1/144 VF-1A Max in Zentraedi uniform colors. Blister has yellowed tremendously but thankfully item inside hasn’t.
  12. Bandai seems to have abandoned using the WWM logo & tagline recently. Only way to know now if it’s available worldwide is to look at the ‘Sales Area’ section in the Tamashii link. So far, sales areas outside Japan are shown to be available. My brain was winding down earlier & conflated FB2012 & DYRL lol. It was never any doubt FB2012 stuff can be available worldwide.

  14. And the last in this series of YF-29s - Alto's ride, in Revival matte finishing. I always feel the 29 looks quite unflattering from any angle around the rear. Even if disregarding the camera lens effect that accentuates it, it looks very back-heavy.. Which is why I like to capture it at angles around the front. Still, I always feel something is off about Alto's scheme, and it took some time to figure out why... It wasn't until I suddenly remembered what someone mentioned before, either in these forums or elsewhere, that Alto's 29 is missing the black anti-glare area ahead of the canopy. Is it the only VF that's missing this? Perhaps it was an oversight by Kawamori.
  15. Putting it in its own thread, consistent with other HMR releases.. HMR Hikaru VF-4 being reissued, with a new stand featuring illustrations of Misa & Minmay, new packaging, and a colored insert sheet featuring Minmay for background display. Price: Yen 14,300 (likely already included 10% domestic tax) Release: October 2024 Will it be WWM? We'll find out soon I guess.. (Scan from Stone Cheung on FB:)

HMR Flashback 2012 VF-4 being reissued. New thread here:
  17. It does look really awesome, and even the claws are individually articulated for fierce grabbing. I'd get him if I want a monster in collection, but I don't want to get into that rabbit hole lol.
  18. I think i'll get Red Chun Li.
  19. Ah that is true.. I haven't handled my 1/60 Sound Booster, so I just assumed it was further forward. Pic from Anymoon:
  20. Like the way you custom set up the glass shelves. I’m not very familiar with Monster Hunter property, but do you have Kitz Concept’s Rathalos? It’s currently at 50% off..
  21. I was hoping but sadly, no replacement Booster attachment parts for Roy's 0S that comes with this release. This just points more and more to a Roy 0S with Booster release sometime later.
  22. Nice collection! Love the Amiibo line - they are really nice balance of functionality, sculpt, pose & display. I'd sooner display all of them in packaging as they are, as opposed to something like say, a Funko Pop.
