  1. Picked up couple of CM’s Ride Armors - Ray’s & Yellow’s. Again, can’t thank @jenius enough for his web site to identify what is what since they are so many different versions but in almost the same box. They might as well as come in blind boxes lol.
  2. Oh wow totally missed that! Thanks for pointing it out. It's great we can use the HM Soundbooster right off the bat. Digging more, I found couple of user pics online showing HM Soundbooster with the new HMR VF-19 Kai. (from Onizuka Eikichi Siu) (from Yiu Nim Lau) Unfortunately, this is only half the story. After scrutinizing the package contents from @Usagi's video & also the manual, Bandai for some reason only included the Soundbooster adaptor for Battroid. It looks like the Fighter-mode adaptor will come with the upcoming 'new' HMR Soundbooster. Way to go, Bandai.
  3. I see what you mean. The 1/60's lower backpack, enabled by the different rotation point for the speakers compared to the HM, certainly makes it look better and now I can't unsee it lol. So actually, it looks like only the Soundbooster battroid adapter is different for the HMR compared to the HM, with an additional new Fighter-mode adapter. One can re-use the HM Soundbooster for the HMR by just printing new adapters.
  4. I found illustrator Takeshi Nakamura's Tumblr page, so go here to view more of his works: https://chronosolar.tumblr.com/ Don't know what to feel yet about it being the same.. Those pink speaker tiles at the rear do look more detailed than Yamcadia's, but the main circular speakers at the front look cheap for 2024, and could do with more detail separation. If they are not updating the mold for the circular speakers, the least they could do is adjust the paint scheme for that instead of it being a single silver mass. Hopefully, they tweak the mold so the joints can be tighter too, because I remember the flaps feel rather loose when opening / closing them.
  5. KC continue to be quite silent on the big question in everyone's minds.. where's the Zentraedi soldier? The Pods look to have been produced, or at final stages of production, and it's clear the solider is still far from ready. KC must have been ruminating for some time the decision to either ship the Pod first and the soldier separately later on (thus eating extra shipping cost), or wait for the soldier to be ready & ship together as originally intended but that would entail more months of delay. I think it's likely KC will be separating the Pod from the Soldier as 2 individual pieces after this so they can get more sales of the Pod going first.
  6. Its already documented (though indirectly) T-Rex worked on both the HMR VF-0 & VF-19, so no surprises these are mini-me Arcadias. I can’t find any mention of T-Rex for the HMR VF-4, even for the upcoming re-issue, but safe to say they are also involved seeing how the HMR’s also shrunk down in the same manner. It may seem a bit boring if HMRs are almost a straightforward port of Arcadia’s, but so far it’s working out well as there’s nothing much to fault the larger versions to begin with. Except perhaps, HMR blue tinted cockpit canopy on the Kai looks much better than the yellow tinted one of Arcadia’s. I’m just wondering that if Bandai ever decide to make a HMR YF-19, which sculpt would they go for? Shrunk down version of their own DX, or Arcadia’s?

    Macross figures

Pretty surprised the Basara & Mylene figures are being reissued, as set this time. From pics & vids of the original releases, I really think Basara is the much better one of the two. This mainly being Mylene's skin shading is almost non-existent or perhaps too subtle for the camera to catch, so she looks quite different from the promotional pics. On other hand, Basara's skin tones are well done, making his arm muscles looking well defined.
  8. Box art is illustrated by one Takeshi Nakamura. He could be well known in other circles, but this appears to be the first time he's illustrating Macross.
  9. HMR Sound booster is already up at Hobby-Genki, & interestingly enough, Pay Later is available: https://hobby-genki.com/en/hi-metal-r/38037-hi-metal-r-vf-19-kai-fire-valkyrie-compatible-sound-booster-macross-7-4573102667793.html
  10. This will be out on Aug 10 as well, same day as HMR VF-19 Kai.
  11. Very different from other HMR, but cool box art nonetheless.
  12. Sound booster certainly is confirmed. Not surprisingly it’s a P-Bandai item. https://tamashiiweb.com/item/15100/?wovn=en#! Release: Feb 2025 PO Date: 09 Aug 2025 Price: Yen 6,600 (inc. 10% domestic tax)
  13. Couple of loose Amiibo's. Initially was supposed to pick up just Fox, but seller had Metroid Dread Samus as well so why not.

    Macross Books

Here's the info: @jvmacross did a short write up a few pages back..
  15. Someone scan that Bandai Namco sticker so we can print it ourselves. What I'm noticing from @Duymon's box pic, is that US YF-21 also has something extra that mine from JP doesn't have: It's those embossed numbers at bottom right of box.
  16. Ready F5 button!!
  17. Unexpectedly, it's a shame Bandai can't even get minor changes to existing molds right, seeing how it played out from the DX VF-1 to the VT-1, and previously the DX 31 Siegfried to the 31AX Kairos+. At least the HMR line continue to be stellar design & engineering wise, hopefully they don't screw up the near upcoming VF-19 Kai.
  18. It will come with Chogokin gloves - the real reason it was made. Ok I'll show myself out now..
  19. What will Bandai do about the broken tails & sensors? Maybe they'll just send these out instead. But seriously @Sayroll @Radioguy, hopefully Luna Park comes back with something positive...
  20. For some time now, I prefer these updated versions of Tenshi no Enogu & Ai Oboete Imasu Ka, both condensed into this video:
  21. That packaging is a slick move. I had an opportunity to get KC's God of Flame at a hefty discount very recently, but I think I'll get this instead. My sentiments exactly. If they went this full route, the sales would go up the roof, and probably from lots of folks who were disappointed by KC's. I'm guessing the packaging was a last minute decision when production of toy was already locked-in.
