I would like to get another if it gets re-issued. My own copy has significantly yellowed, due to early days collecting carelessness (exposed to sunlight). Yeah that bit looks odd, but that is how the valk is designed in first place? Willing to overlook that though compared to the rest of the valk.

All pics taken using phone. Post-processing mostly done with Google Snapseed. The VFC VF-1 battroid have next to no articulation. Only the shoulders can swing back & forth, and that's about it. The GNU-Dou VF-1 is pretty ok. No double joint at knees or elbows like most modern figures, but what it has not found on other VF-1 figures is the chest can rock side to side. Perhaps the Revoltechs can do it too, but I haven't played with them yet.

The YF-30 Chronos happened to come to mind, and now I wish Bandai announces a re-issue. It's probably the only DX mold that's never been used more than once.

Went back to tweak couple of old pics, both of non-transformable VF-1s. Yamato 1/200 VFC Low-Vis VF-1: Yamato GNU-Dou VF-1A Max:

Just noticed through translation this additional little gimmick: Not sure if that purple diamond automatically moves out of way when speakers are exposed and goes back in position by itself when closed, or it has to be manually pushed in/out.

Fantastic!

I totally forgot there was ever this PO lol.

Thats great, at least makes it easier to differentiate between this and the original, problematic issue.
-
Love this story & write-up @Shawn. I think the images are better in B/W, looks more realistic than in color.
-
If we look at the poster background, the illustration include other non-standard Legiosses & Treads - they look suspiciously similar to the illustrations from Genesis Breaker. Might be a good thing, as Sentinel doesn't look to be making the others after the upcoming Tread.

Great news the 0A is out relatively on-time. The Vf-1S reissues still nowhere to be seen though, hopefully Arcadia gets past the final bumps soon and announce the other long delayed items.
-
Thanks for checking and confirming. So it's not only just my copy that has this issue. Still, I like the Minmay Collection version the best due to the colors.
-
Yeah I guess the pilot-in-cockpit video KC released not too long ago wasn’t the final painted version.

That’s quite a nice collection when everything is laid out & displayed. I don’t have access to mine at moment, but I now recall there’s an inconsistency between my Sitting Minmays. The one from the Minmay Collection special set (which you have on the second row from front), has the desk leg a bit too long. As a result, Minmay is sort of straddling on both rear chair legs with the fronts off the ground. I can’t see if yours have that issue too since it happened to be blocked in the pic. The other watercolor sitting Minmay I have is fine though - exactly like yours, all 4 chair legs touching the ground with the desk leg being slightly angled forward. Edit: Couple of pics to show what I mean:

I never really understood why figures have a clear-hair variant, and it's not limited only to this line. I wonder what's the thinking behind them..
-
Would have thought they would be sold out by now, even with the limit 1 per customer. A bit surreal to see DX VF-1s still available at retail so long after release date.

Hmmm I prefer if Transformers were Macross-fied, rather than Macross being Transformer-ed. Make the jets more sleek all around, rather than hanging more kibble & random bits underneath.
