  1. Even with the clear coat cured for a couple days, the stuff is iffy. I’ve seen more than a few do the proper steps and have it work fine on most of their kits and then randomly accidentally have a masterpiece turned into a wreck diorama or just plain garbage. I remember that story from a while back. I felt really bad for you. If I remember, it melted the joints or something. It made me more cautious about my own work. And I’ve also had issues with the stuff. It’s really sad to see so much work go into a project just to have it destroyed by the #1 recommended product at the hobby shops for panel lining
  2. I don’t think Thrawn is capable of that mentally or physically. The guy has one ship and isn’t very good at planning. I think you’re overestimating live action Thrawn. The only thing he threatens is a bag of Doritos
  3. I’ve only seen his live action debut, and it seems that he’s just got one ship. It seems full of less than capable storm troopers that after they die become little more than handsy mannequins, doesn’t seem like a threat at all. Maybe he was a threat in a children’s cartoon though. Besides that, i think they’re saving him more for that Ahsoka project rather than fighting Din, and Grogu
  4. After finally seeing Thrawn after all the talk about him, I kinda doubt that he could outsmart anyone. Is he gonna throw mobs of useless zombies at them? Those things sucked so bad
  5. Looks a little toasty, but I kinda like it. Maybe do a light grey or white wash to tone it down a little.
  6. Yeah, if it doesn’t crack, it’ll melt. It’s just way too hot. Sometimes it’s good to try new things, but other times it’s best to stick with what works
  7. Sorry, but I’m pretty sure it’s a nice lobster with some cool markings for its carapace
  8. Don’t blame yourself, that Tamiya is the destroyer of models. It’s just way too hot for a lot of plastics. It’s basically thin solvent glue with a bit of paint. And it’s particularly bad with Abs and some soft plastics. It barely works for styrene under proper conditions. It’s kinda like playing Russian Roulette with your models. You might get god results on a few, then there that one loaded chamber or devastation. And all it leaves in its wake is just heartbreak. The worst part about it is that it usually works great the first time, then that time it doesn’t, you start questioning yourself and your methods, when it’s really just the product itself. tricks like enamel and oil washes work well as panel lining with thinners that aren’t as hot like mineral spirits or zippo fluid. Acrylic and water based ones work well also and are a bit safer, but take a different method to clean up.
  9. If I remember, this is replacing the next season. Not sure if this is meant as an end point for the series though, but there’s the possibility that this may be the finale. It would be really weird to go from series to movie and back again, but I’m not saying that that also isn’t a possibility
  10. Oddly, I think it got posted in the Romulus section last week or so, but maybe it fits here just as well
  11. Unfortunately it sounds like the flat coat soaked up the panel liner. It’s usually best to use a gloss coat that has set for a while and then flat coating after weathering and panel lining and all that. As long as it only damaged the top coat, there’s a possibility of rescue with light sanding. The flat coat has a lot of little micro bumps that the panel lining sort of contours to and will leave a dark haze over the kit. It’s good if you just want to darken the color a little, but when you don’t is when it can be a problem. The gloss is smoother and usually allows you to wipe away the excess lining. But it’s definitely best to allow some good cure time after application Be careful with Tamiya panel liners, because those can sometimes just eat up paint and plastic. Not sure if that was the brand, but I see a lot of horror stories after Tamiya has been used and I’ve had some bad experiences with it myself.
  12. I would, but I really can’t top Porkins or Kid Molester, I mean Kit Fisto
  13. Honestly, that sounds like an 80’s horror film backstory. Dudes just trying to make things seem normal, then one day he snaps and a neighbor gets force choked. But someone sees him digging a grave in the back yard. He’s somehow convinced the neighbors wife that her husband ran off with another woman as an alibi. And nobody believes the one who witnessed the burial. Somehow the witness comes across evidence that their neighbor that has been telling people that he wears the mask to hide his war wounds was guilty of extreme war crimes, but only his best friends start to slowly believe
  14. That’s really bad. I’ve only watched house of the dead once and my friends and I sometimes have a lot of fun with bad movies, but house of the dead was infuriating to all of us. People were walking out of the theater for refunds and that was one of the first times I’d ever seen that happen to a large crowd. It really came down to the action scenes being non existent. Like they didn’t have a budget or didn’t care to film them at all and just cut to some kid playing the arcade game anytime a zombie got in someone’s face. I think people would have been less angry at it though if they hadn’t cheated out that bad. I probably would’ve disliked it, but I wouldn’t have anger for the film if they had just had something there. It’s one of the very few times a movie has actually angered me. I still think of that as the absolute worst movie I’ve ever seen, and it makes Redneck Zombies feel like an Oscar winner
  15. I thought it was some kinda droid until it was referred to as a location
  16. It probably would be better than Daft Punk. Although I kinda forgot that Nine inch Nails were still a band. Trent Reznor has done some great stuff soundtrack wise and would definitely bring more variety to the soundtrack
  17. I actually have to look it up every time I mention her because I don’t really remember anyone’s name in that show. Sheeza Peenkoo Shon would have been easier to remember
  18. The gun thing gets a pass, but I’d endlessly complain about surviving a lightsaber stab. Jecki would have died for nothing if that happened. Don’t ruin the greatest Starwars moment in recent years
  19. Was kinda thinking the same. Who knows, there’s an odd chance this could be the best live action Star Wars series, but probably not.
  20. I guess that’s promising since the U.S. may not be getting the og stuff at all, just seems like D+ might have gotten tricky with the vpn
  21. It’s definitely odd to see a basic suburban setting, but the show itself doesn’t look as bad as most of the previous D+ shows so far. It least it doesn’t have the Vespa gang
  22. I think there was a poster a page or so back that had a 2024 for the year, but no specific date at least for all the non og stuff. I don’t see why they’re being so slow on the U.S. release compared to other places though, but hopefully by the end of year. Does it give subtitles with the Japanese D+ for the original series and Dyrl?
