  1. I have to agree, these designs definitely look more anime, especially the red one. In the first film the pilot suits had a very anime look and now the jaegers are fitting in with that a bit more. I think that the red one may be a bit thin looking although it may be designed more for speed. Either way I'm far more interested now seeing more images and hoping for a great trailer soon and a movie that hopefully won't disappoint.
  2. They're small, but they can do it all. all joking aside they are very poseable and can even do downform and have great detail.
  3. Hlj and hobbysearch had it up last night.
  4. As far as misspellings of arctic, I like tag hobby with action gear. Anyway just got my preorder in.
  5. I'm still waiting on that 31a battroid.
  6. I was actually very pleased by the translations. It's great finally being able to read the info for the mobile suit without asking online for help. i guess bandai realized that the U.S. has been a big supporter of gunpla.
  7. I know they are just cg renderings and an unfinished prototype, but I already like what I'm seeing.
  8. I just noticed some news for galient that had me excited. They are adding this series to the bandai minipla trading kits and they are doing the anime and ova versions along with the centaur type robots as well, with others possible. I passed up the Ideon and the Walker Gallier releases reluctantly, but after seeing finished items from those series I will definitely be all in on these.
  9. I actually think robotech has a slight chance of gaining a younger following since streaming sites like Amazon Video and Netflix both air it now. I do hope people start searching the actual shows involved as they learn to appreciate classic anime better
  10. It's nice to see a review for a volks plastic kit. It's very hard to find any. after seeing the kits in person at the volks booth at anime expo, I was very impressed by the looks.
  11. Mhm If you still have the Xbox and the first edition of ninja gaiden, then the old games can at least be played at the arcade machine.
  12. I really love ninja gaiden games from the old days. I miss the simple controls compared to the newer 3D ones.
  13. If they were able to be as detailed and as poseable at that scale I'd buy into it. Although imagine the size of accessories. I would be a bit worried about losing them.
  14. Amazon isn't the only place getting better prices on gunpla. Even local hobby shops are getting very competitive prices with up to date releases. I was at hobby people recently and they had the newest kits and even started carrying mr color lacquer paints and oddly enough sh figuarts toys. These items are getting a bit easier to find in other places as well. i don't know if these items have all of a sudden become more popular or if a distributor just realized there was an opportunity that they were missing out on.
  15. I understand some people don't like the small toys, but the arctic gear figures pack so much detail and articulation into a tiny package. They're great for the collector with limited space and they're awesome for people who do dioramas. I always wondered if someone ever made a table top game using them as playing pieces.
  16. One of the best kitbashes I've seen in a while.
  17. I really am glad they are bringing back the arctic gear line with new items. I can't wait to get that strike dog and I'm also curious about other releases. With this and hmr from bandai doing macross and dougram along with those new minipla trading kits, it's a great time to be a fan of classic robots.
  18. I thought some of the other votoms fans would have brought it up sooner, but since I didn't see an update tag hobby has some pictures of the arctic gear strike dog. I think it looks great and I will definitely buy it.
  19. I was hoping that they would've fixed the way the knee bends on the zeta, but it looks like it moves the same way as the old hguc version.
  20. I think the real question is what could humanity learn from just a robot arm. They may have gotten more from the lower half of the body or the brain that were crushed. A humanoid walking robot was impressive in the 80's and that computer brain would have been a more conceivable start to skynetif the ending was written different.
  21. I will have to start watching those. I hadn't rechecked for more episodes in a bit.
  22. So all episodes are on YouTube now with English subs? I love the classics like dunbine and votoms and giant gorg and panzer world galient. I hope that more of the classics get at us official release soon. Especially those sunrise 80's robot mech shows, along with their sequels and ova's.
