I had that issue on the upper leg at the thigh joint, not the ball joint but the one just below that. It took a bit of working to get it to move and it almost felt like maybe a bit of plastic in the way.

Every time I go out for the day a bunch of great stuff shows up on this thread.

Just got back from seeing it. It's an ok film, but definitely better if you can ignore realism. I just wish one day that in giant monster movies helicopters would fly above the monster. The action involving the humans was kinda cheesy, but the characters were likeable enough. I also wanted a bit more of the adventure aspect rather than the big monkey stuff, but then it would be too much like a Jurassic park movie.

Try mahq. They have line art for the series and some variations and I think they may also have some kit pictures, but it's been a while since I last checked. The names may be different on some, but I know the crabgunner is there for sure in line art. Also you could try a search for robotech defenders kits from back in the day. Some of those were dougram kits and I don't really remember what else.

I usually use milliput on filling large areas and sea line gaps, but I never thought about recasting with it. I'm gonna have to give that a shot.

Are you gonna recast the laser cannon thats missing derex? It looks like it would be identical to the one you do have.

Wonder Woman, in theaters Summer 2017
Big s replied to jvmacross's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I definitely heard the t at the end of her name. Most news I've heard about her can never get it correct, but I think she has to be the standard to go by since it's her name unless she has a Ron Burgundy problem and just reads straight from the teleprompter.- 233 replies

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0

I get that feeling from most of the cg anime, but it's no where near as bad looking as Berserk. Ajin does make up for any visual problems by having a good storyline. -
What's the future of this site?

I'm also one of those that goes straight to the forums. In fact my first visit to the site was because of a google search about macross news because I was trying to find out more about the Macross hmr toys and that search went straight to the forums rather than the front page. Now I use these forums for not only macross toys, but just about anything else sci-fi. The people here are far more friendly and helpful than other forums on other sites. -
I know there was a prototype for the movie version, but I don't remember if there was a tv version.

The Wolverine FILMS (X-Men Universe)
Big s replied to antibiotictab's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
It's an amazingly good film and truly makes up for so many bad or subpar X Men or Wolverine films. The down to earth action scenes are great looking and brutal. The story and emotional connection is by far the best I have ever seen with this franchise. I gotta admit being a bit choked up at several parts of this one. It may go in the running for best super hero film of all time. To be honest I didn't expect this to be so great. -
I keep thinking it may look shorter when it gets some color and especially with the black stipe around the area in front of the cockpit.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
Big s replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
My daughter started getting me to watch that dragon maid show as well. It's pretty fun and reminds me of a lesbian Tenchi with all the weird female dragons seemingly in love with Miss Kobayashi, and her not being interested in anything other than friendship. I also like that she's kind of a double personality when it comes to drinking. -
I hope it has all the weird old references like Silverhawks games and Eric Clapton.

I was surprised that the new version of the old Vegeta sold out before the Starwars stuff.

Hey Pengbuzz, sorry about what's been said elsewhere, but here I think you are much more appreciated. I always like seeing a project that puts more work than I'm willing to do. I like that you did extra fitting and joint work as well as the sculpting. Don't give up, I really want to see where that project goes.

For minipla those really look impressive. I can't wait to get these.

Rubbing alcohol at the store works alright. They can be cheap and come in 2 general grades. The stronger 91 percent works when the weaker grade doesn't. The weaker 70 something percent is already diluted. Also with gundam markers sometimes after drying a simple rubber eraser can work, but I would probably just try the weaker alcohol first on a test piece. Also don't over soak the kit, a little goes for a bit.

Yeah the price is very high on that one. I think I'll just get the minipla and save up.

If never used lacquer thinner that way, but depending on the type of paint you panel lined with a weaker thinner can help or even alcohol. If it's lacquer paint just on plastic alcohol can work by just getting a napkin or cloth slightly damp and going over the model just be careful around clear parts. a clarification on the process you used and types of paints would be useful for better advice. also some lacquer thinners are very harsh on plastic, but not all.

It's still in a taped together prototype stage, so some improvements may happen. I think it's probably safer to wait and see before doing an early order.

Max factory licenses for kits have been very interesting these last couple of years. I hope they keep up with their improvements.
