  1. YJA prices still have not fallen, and some people are still bidding.
  2. Taobao is definitely cheaper, if you get one, let me know how well the production quality is. Not sure how much diecast is in it. Japnaese reviewer said the painting is similar to Bandai's. Review here. http://www.inask.net/blog-entry-566.html There is a joint strength diagram, with green being the tightest, and red being the worst. There is no waist articulation. I think this agent should be okay, haven't used it before. http://www.frugirls.com/en

Should we expect a wrap with the Regult as well? How about other Bandai Chogokin releases? I understand that Japanese shop fronts may actually have them removed so that customers could inspect them.

They were identical. It was my first time seeing it in a mid tier toy.

Hey, just wondering. My order of the VF-1J Armored from amiami and NY both had a plastic bag wrapped around the box. Is that something Bandai or the distributors provided? Maybe they wanted to sell them as mint collector's condition so that in many years to come they will become vintage collectables. But then vintage usually applies to toys that were made at the time of the airing of the source material.
  6. Nin-nin is evil. They always claim to have stock and they don't. You also have to chase them for refunds or equivalent amount vouchers. For mainstream stuff they should be okay, but not for event and web shop exclusives. I ordered a Heine Destiny from YJA via middleman.
  7. I really like how they are increasing exposure to elusive vehicles like the A-Wing, B-Wing and all those starships. Feels like Gundam side stories with MSV designs. That's why I like war sci-fi so much as they could always slot in new scenarios to make use of more weapons. Captain Rex's Phase II helmet is back.
  8. Historically, it may just be from the same production run, so lottery based is likely. So what Tamashii Event items had been offered through web-store post event previously?
  9. Ordered one Diabattles V2, may get a second one. Definitely getting the prototype version later as well. This is probably the first transformer/combiner that I like after the V Gundam. So appealing to adults with its playability and in-universe combat role descriptions. It brings out the inner child in all of us.
  10. Both being 1/60 scale, VF-0 was an oversized craft and the VF-4 was larger than the VF-1. The two are pretty close in terms of size and hence the high original price tag. And yes, its gray is exactly identical to Arcadia VF-0A Shin, so I think we should expect the same colour as Yamato's, but then the final production colour may still differ from official stock photos.
  11. At least it is another point for General Galaxy designs. The VF-4 was their debut model and we've only got VF-22 and VF-17 molds after that, which were always a secondary character. Now the question is, would this be Arcadia's first pre-order madness item?
  12. Wow, well it is an interesting design and also an elusive design that gets very little appearance. I tend to like buying toys of characters that don't appear much as the toy would be the only way to explore the character.

Glaug confirmed as the next release from the hidden Zentradi text on the official Regult page. http://tamashii.jp/special/hi-metal_r/regult/ It says "Next Item Glaug". After reading the page, I actually regret not preordering it as the toy was actually supervised by Miyatake Katsutaka. I guess I'll just wait for stock upon release, no biggie.
  14. I got Tamashii Spec Dragonar OP ver, Falguen, Dragonar Custom and Layzner before 2014. I bought the 3 Dragonars for RD so I could display a team of three in Obari proportions. Seriously, they must have reused the CAD data from the Tamashii Spec, it is essentially a down scaled Tamashii Spec Dragonar 1 Custom. 80s Sunrise mecha are hard to find. The RD Vifam seems to have the best articulation of most RDs out there.
  15. I constantly preorder my Megahouse girl figures from Yamato and Sayla from Gundam, but they all end up >40% off at Amiami preowned. Is this the common trend nowadays for PVC statues to go down? Maybe with the rise of pre-owns, people are indifferent with a non-articulate second hand figure as they don't have joint wear.
  16. I actually cancelled my CDJapan Gunbuster preorder due to their revised EMS cost. EMS is overly expensive with CDJapan. Other places have it for 20k yen + 4700 yen. As great as their customer service is, I honestly think CDJapan should put a no cancellation policy on expensive items. This is contrary to the egotistical Amiami and Nippon Yasan.
  17. To all Star Wars fans out there, how much of a gap is between the end of Clone Wars Season 5 and the events of Episode III Revenge of the Sith? Is there any overlap? EDIT: Okay I found it. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Timeline_of_canon_media Ignoring the minor rearrangement for chronology, it seems like Season 1-2 is set on the same year as Attack of the Clones, and Season 3-6 is set 2 years after attack of the clones. I am not sure whether Anakin changed his physical attire and face model to indicate the time skip.
  18. Eager to get Darth Maul to partner up with EP1 Kenobi, but i don't like the lack of a hood. As expected, Captain Phasma sold out quick, but I would rather wait for Hot Toys. It is probably the first weathered stormtrooper suit aside from the Clone Troopers from the Clone Wars.
  19. Wacky racers. http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=manga&illust_id=52750848 Just lacking Gaiterol and the carriers.
  20. RS are usually not definitive version toys like Soul of Chogokin and Metal Builds. However, with Dunbine being an 80s nostalgia character along with Dragonar, Vifam and L Gaim, their Robot Damashiis tend to be of higher quality with more attention to sculpt and are applied with a matte finish. Therefore, for these character they are the definitive version toys and there is nowhere to go from there. Other RDs, especially Mobile Suits, don't feel definitive since they have other model kits and 1/100 scales to compare, whereas nostalgic characters don't have other modern merchandise to compare with. Niche Mobile Suits from the Ka Signature line don't seem to have substitutes either. I personal own all Dunbine RDs, Lord of Bystonwell and Megahouse statues. Lord of Bystonwell has good sculpt but fail fitting which makes Vol.1 and Vol.2 absolute junk but Vol.3 and Vol.4 are okay. Megahouse statues are hard to find now. I actually have the Tamashii Spec L Gaim and Megahouse Batshu before the RD line came out. If I were to start the RD line now, I'll have to get all of them. I guess I should be happy with my 17-18cm versions. I also have the MG L Gaim Mk-II.
