  1. How about the Maketoys Utopia with the citizen figures? They're also planning a Scoponok. I am very fond of city transformers, but I need to make sure that have things that will fit well inside.
  2. Is anyone hoping for the 1/6 Tie Fighter to be for mass production?
  3. Is Warbotron Bruticus worth getting? I am not too much into Transformers and have only owned the 60cm Titan Metroplex. Though, I do like Bruticus since it is the only military oriented transformer.
  4. I cancelled mine from cdjapan but it is still listed as out of print.
  5. Is it possible to attach onto each wing up to two hardpoint missiles from the VF-171, with one being the reaction missile?
  6. Wow, I thought I was bad. You guys must of 200+ high-end toys(Macross, Metal Build ,SOC, MP etc). I think I have around 30 at the moment. Do you guys have any boxes of ThreeZero class toys(45cm tall etc)? I have a Metal Gear Ray still sitting in its shipping carton. The pile on the bed has since been transferred into the wardrobe after I exiled my 90s toys.
  7. I got one from cdjapan during the first half hour. I am just surprised that Toys r us Japan suddenly listed some high demand items.
  8. Only place to have Gunbuster left, they also have YF-29B Percival, but not much other Bandai items. http://www.toysrus.co.jp/s/dsg-503861800?utm_source=Criteo&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=dynamic

The Hi-Metal VF-19Kai/F were pretty bad and they were usually sold at half price. But then, the relatively sleeker proportions of the 19 is evident in the Hi-Metal release, which may have been fed back to the DX VF-19 Advance.
  10. Is the white darker than that of Alto's? I avoided Alto's because I really disliked the red highlights.
  11. The funny thing is that non-Japanese retailers are still cheaper than the skyrocketed Japanese market price. Mainly applies to good Metal Builds and gold Saint Seiya figures.
  12. Okay, if it is unauthorised, I would certainly refrain from filming. I have no intention of uploading them on Youtube, it will merely be for personal record. Thanks for the article. Maybe I'll only GoPro the touristic places and not the crowded shopping areas.
  13. Metal Build Strike Freedom market price has gone up to around 36000 yen. I got one for 34000 from Yahoo Japan before getting another two for 29109 yen each with free domestic shipping in my country. Given that Gold Frame Amatsu had gone up by 6000 yen in a week, Strike Freedom will be no exception.
  14. Sadly, I am only at Kyoto for 2 days, Osaka for 2 days and the about 8+ days for Tokyo. One day for Universal Studios at Osaka and then one extra maybe for Osaka Castle and then Takarazuka Museum. Might not even go to the Jungle Osaka store. I am attending C3 Hobby at Chiba, hence the timing in August. Has anyone got experience with GoPro-ing on the streets? Do I just strap it on my chest while wearing a jacket and people won't care unless in places where it is unauthorised?
  15. Okay, I am definitely going and will ditch Osaka castle for it. Do you think it is easy to GoPro the place? Are those models consumer toys or just production statues?
  16. Okay that sucks. Well I am going to Japan in August to miss the 10% tax. Most Japanese stores don't use their tax added price for international customers, but Amiami did raise it up recently for their base price since they know that their customer base would hardly change. Some auction items also have tax added.

I could understand that the Bandai Metal Builds are in relatively less quantities since a lot more workmanship is involved(more chinese factory workers or more hours from the same number of chinese workers) with the same 4 month lead time. Reissues and mold recolors shouldn't be much of an issue a they could reuse previous assembly instructions. Of course, they would need to demonstrate and check whether the assembly instructions are effective.
  18. Wow, you could find instructions of all Chogokins here. http://www.bandai.co.jp/support/faq/201103/detail174.html They're pretty lazy with the images. Maruyama' 171 recycles the images from the cannon fodder. Ozma's super pack is recycled from the Alto's.
  19. I managed to get 2 for a low price, and 1 at a premium from Yahoo Japan Auction. Will play with one, give one away as a present, and one mint.

VE-1 and VT-1 pending as they're meant to mirror the 80s releases.
  21. I think VF-19 Advance is the most resurrected Macross Bandai DX Chogokin for the same production run.

I made the order while driving home from work and just needed to finalise the payment. When I got home, the item was listed as sold out and I promptly made the payment. It is pretty much a 48 hour protected shopping cart. But then, people could still compete while it is in the order stage. Meanwhile, my other Bandai day item was Garo Ver.3, which is the cheapest at CDJapan. However, since it is almost double the price of Ver.2(2011), people are hesitant about it and it is still opened. I think Bandai was trying to match the current market price of Ver.2(8000-10000 yen). No Strike Freedom though, but never liked the character.
  23. So are the hardpoint weapons only attachable onto the VF-171 series(wings from armored pack), the YF-30 and VF-19 Advance?
