  1. It looks kind of scary if the trays all topple over or someone accidentally stacked the trays crushing the parts.
  2. HLJ is actually cheaper than Amiami now. I got myself Phenex from CDJapan, Kabuto + bike and Omegamon from Amiami. Might get an extra YF-29 if HLJ gets it back up later.
  3. No worries, I knew that it was coming and had been waiting for HLJ or CdJapan to get their preorders opened. I managed to get my VF_1J for 1000 before middleman fees etc.

    Hi-Metal R

The grey colour looks really good.
  5. You may order the next release here. http://hlj.com/product/WPPFG215/Boo
  6. http://auctions.search.yahoo.co.jp/search?auccat=&tab_ex=commerce&ei=utf-8&aq=-1&oq=&sc_i=&p=%E3%82%B9%E3%83%88%E3%83%BC%E3%83%A0%E3%83%88%E3%83%AB%E3%83%BC%E3%83%91%E3%83%BC%EF%BC%88%E3%83%9F%E3%83%A9%E3%83%BC%E3%83%96%E3%83%AD%E3%83%B3%E3%82%BA%E7%89%88%EF%BC%89&x=0&y=0 28k yen chocolate exclusive Hot Toys Stormtrooper being resold for 75-98k yen. It seems easier for Japanese to get it as it is limited 500 units, much more than Hong Kong.
  7. Watch out for scammers on Aliexpress selling MB Strike Freedom, Heine Destiny and Gold Frame for 108 USD. There are orders made but none of them have had feedback. Chances are, the seller is using this trick to borrow some money, then do some gambling and investment with it, and then in due time return the money back to the customers as a refund telling them that they could not source the figures. Once there were also some Chinese scammers selling MB Destiny brand new for 30k yen on Yahoo Japan Auction.
  8. My local supplier confirmed that the two I got from ebay will be arriving in December. I still have MB SF and Heine Destiny with my proxy at the moment waiting to be shipped.
  9. People who work in Bandai should know how batches are distributed. I believe that they allocate minimally to Asian batches for Metal Builds. Sadly, I cancelled my HLJ one, and just realised that my remaining 2 out of 3 left are likely to be Asian stock as it is from an Aussie EBay seller. My other one is from Yahoo Japan Auction.
  10. Well, has it been proven that QC issues are more common in the Asia distribution batch compared to the Japanese batch? I know that Hong Kong people are super paranoid about it to the point they price the two differently.
  11. No mace again for this 1/100, are they expecting it to have weight issues if the mace were to be in 1/100 scale? So far only the HG and RD have the mace. Overall, the HI Resolution one looks more medieval like due to the gloss and gold coat finish. I don't think it is encouraged to be painted as the runners the colour runners already have a metallic finish, but the white could use some paint if it is not gloss. After comparing with the 1/100, the Hi-Revolution has a style of its own akin to Metal Builds designs.
  12. With the Hi-Resolution line, they say the frame is pre-built. I think it will be a one-off release just for the IBO Gundams as they're just toying with the idea since Barbatos and co have a presentable inner frame. It does look slightly more stylised than the 1/100.
  13. Wow, Heine is still there after 12 hours, But proxies can't get it due to the order limit. It is unlikely that NY or retailers will offer it as the 2 unit limit prevents them from saving shipping costs. Usually I think they bulk order 24 at a time or have some wholesale order to save domestic postage costs, and then they profit from the 500 yen margin.
  14. Thanks, now I know even web exclusive items are not immune to preorder madness conditions. The MP Hyakushiki Gunpla got closed in a few weeks as well. So the MB Avalanche Exia(normal) was initially 19440 yen(incl tax) and its post release after market price was minimum 28k +. Usually if there is a regular and premium version on offer(i.e Ka Signature Penelope and Marking Plus Version), the superior version will also go up in price earlier. At the moment, regular Penelope is on discount while the Marking Plus one is steady.
  15. I am not sure how probable are preorder madness conditions for web exclusive Metal Builds. Heine Destiny may have been an exception due to production limits, but the SF Wings of Light would need to at least match the supply of the Metal Build SF. I am not sure how were the preorder conditions for the MB 00 Raiser and Exia Avalanche in the past. Don't know whether they closed within the usual 3 month window.
  16. I think KO option parts releases are only possible for p-Bandai Gunpla items.
  17. I actually own the Robot Damashii equivalent of SF+effects and Destiny+Wings of light. Time to retire the low tier toy, just like I did with the Unicorns.
  18. As expected, both sets of wings of light will be a separate release, along with a special box case to store both the main figure and the option parts like a DVD/Bluray box. Renewal version of the Destiny has changes to markings according to the text, but the photo looks like there will also be a change in colour. http://p-bandai.jp/tamashiiwebshouten/a0011/b0060/item-1000100741/ Option parts for Metal Builds has become a trend, but not as necessary as the Super Parts and Armored Parts for VFs.
  19. That SF was from my cancellation. I still have 3 in total on order from various sources though. The Renewal Destiny will either be a color tone change if we're going by the definition of renewals from the SoC line(Voltes V, Gunbuster). It may include the Wings of Light or be released separately, likewise with the one for the Strike Freedom. Though, I think not including the Wings of Light in the one package would be a smarter idea since they could reuse the existing box size and layout,

    Hi-Metal R

I hope I could mass produce the Regult and display them in a squad of three. But chances are, we may not get the missile variants. At the moment, both First Gundam in the form of Robot Damashii and TV SDF as Hi Metal are being released definitive version toys and I think I might have to get both lines. It is better to collect toys of vintage characters instead of current characters as the latter tend to be a temporary fad and we end of selling them or throwing them away when the interest fades away.
  21. I think we will only get either 1/35 VF-1 or 1/1800 Macross, not both.
  22. Looks like Teiwaz's Hyakuren has not entered full mass production and 44 units produced so far, assuming that is across all spheres(Jupiter - Mars - Earth). I am guessing the Graze to be around 80-120 for the Mar sphere and then <600-1000 across all spheres. The main thing I am interested in any mecha war would be the production numbers or troop numbers. We've had troop numbers for One Year War to Laplace Conflict for at least one faction(Delaz Fleet, Axis, Neo Zeon, Sleeves). Break Blade gave us 200ish for Kurisna and 800-1000 for Athens. 00 initially had 100 GN-X IIIs but then they changed it to 1000 GN-X III so that the heroes could kill them off like flies after the little timeskip in season 2. Production numbers usually indicate how valuable an MS is, and in IBO one MS appear extremely valuable to the point that cockpit damaged machines are worth salvaging. Losing 4 Grazes seem to be a big deal for the Ares garrison.
