  1. Looks like the MB Exia went as fast as the YF-29 reissue. I think they went for a small print run considering that there are Exia owners out there already and they've made two more variants of it. I personally have the Exia Repair so I would rather focus on the Sirbine.
  2. Looks like a golden period for classic sci-fi(fantasy): the return of Star Wars, Macross and Yamato.
  3. i hope they end up adapting the triple barrel Wave motion gun Andromeda Kai Class Shunran from the PS2 games with 5 quad barrel turrets and 3 secondary guns. In the PS2 games it was 300m but the Shuran name was also the original proposal for the 1978 Andromeda and was meant to be 600m.
  4. Great collection! The F-toys line was great but it is a bit hard to catch up now due to its scarcity. For their size, they are defnitely better than the alternatives of Titanium and Deagonstini. F-Toys had the merits of being Finemolds designed which was the gold standard before Bandai came in and covered both starfighters and ground vehicles in approximate 1/144 scale. The next best thing would be the Bandai Vehicle Model line.
  5. So were the Death Star component display bases to scale with the 1/72 fighters? If not, then we would have to imagine the turret and base to be further away.
  6. So this is definitely different from the one for the X-wing miniatures then, provided that the miniatures one is to scale.
  7. A-Wing is due May, along with the recently announced Gundam kits. http://www.taghobby.com/1-0/1-2/bandai-2016年5月發售-模型-172-《star-wars》-a-wing-starfighter-2400yen/ I recently completed my Bandai 1/48 line with the Moving X-Wing, and have a few Mecha Colles on order. Planning to a get all the 1/72s in the future. I am sure they will have plenty of reissues when Rogue One comes out and Amazon.co.jp still has them for 30% off. The good thing about the original trilogy releases is that their description always emphasises on recreating the prop model, but the ones from the Force Awakens omit that comment.
  8. Bandai 1/72 A-Wing announced - 2400 yen. Also comes with Death Star turbo laser turret to be attached onto previous display stands. We are assuming that they will properly scale the A-Wing to be much smaller than other fighters hence the compensation in kit volume with the turret. TIE Interceptor and Bomber better be next. I am also hoping for a 1/72 B-Wing rather than 1/144. Otherwise, I will wait for 1/144 scale of everything thing to be available in the 600 yen Vehicle Model line before I decide.

    Hi-Metal R

I only ordered one Monster since it had a 02 decal on it, so I let it be partnered with the Armored 1J.

Which one is better Zaku II, Regult or TIE Fighter? These three are the basic grunts of the biggest mainstream sci-fi franchises and we have a proper RD Zaku II coming up too and the Bandai 1/72 TIE fighter is available. I can't just choose one, I like all three franchises. Got 3 Regults shipped, and 3 Zakus on order.

I only got 3, cancelled one from HLJ. I'll have one Glaug and 3 Regults as one squad.
  12. Still can't tell how long that Bandai Star Destroyer is. Their Mecha Colle version will be nowhere close to that in terms of detail.
  13. Japanese people have no space, yet they still buy every single one of the 20cm+ tall toysout on the market. Titaniums and these 10cm kits are a good way to get a non-scale detailed craft without having to care about scale. Scale requires a lot of space, especially 1/48. So far, we only have 1/48 X-wing, Snowspeeder and AT-ST from Bandai, while Finemolds/Revell offers the only TIE Fighter. I have decided to go with relative scaling in the form of Star Wars Armada, which only covers space vehicles. So I'll have access to most of the capital ships plus mini fighter squadrons. By the way, the upcoming Bandai Vehicle Model 002 X Wing is 1/144 scale at 8.5cm. I am not sure whether they would do the same for the TIE Fighter while keeping it 600 yen. If they were to do a Snowspeeder, they'll need to make it a twin pack to keep it 1/144.

Just realised today was Bandai day. Best seller was Kuuga Rising Mighty. Still tons of Super Saiyan Goku etc.

Got three, still available. Will open 2 and keep one as future vintage item.
  16. They're releasing the 10cm Mecha Colle sized star Destroyer instead. I think it parallel's the case of Yamato 2199's Desula II not getting a 1/1000 due to it being 660m conceptually and they only opt for the 10cm Mecha Colle ver. But if they were to release a 20-30cm ver Star Destroyer, it would be great. They probably had a better chance of selling a 45-60cm ver if they could sell direct outside of Japan. Looks like the 1/72 AT-AT has also been canned due to Japanese small living space.
  17. Bandai website crashed. Oh well, settled for auction at 38k. Some going for 40k. MB Destiny circas around 32k+ now. Wings are 6600+ yen. I am pretty sure they will have a second batch later, or at least just for the figure. Speaking of which MB Strike Freedom is now 45k. I though 34k auction preorder was expensive andit stayed at that price on the first week.
  18. Wow, the preowned item is still there. Surprised that there is still one unopened after 2 years(Released Dec 2013).

  20. Bandai is releasing their Macross Delta Mecha Colle line starting with the VF-31J and VF-171(Remote Region use standard type). They are hinting that the VF-171 will have armament variants released in the future.
  21. Sandwiched side stories tend to offer some contradictions, hence requiring some retconning. At the moment, Disney wanted to expand the Star Wars universe fresh hence some of the rejected Legends elements have been consolidated in Star Wars Rebels.
  22. The description reserved the possibility of later production batches and later ship out dates if demand is good. I think the colour tone looks a bit different from the original, as the new one looks more like anime colour, but only time will tell. I think even the two Metal Build 00 ended with the same colour tone.
