  1. You're a Macross fan right? Just askin', no reason... Most certainly not because I'm wondering if you have the same spin on the whole Zentran Meltran thing... Nope!
  2. Yeah, but you can both plus "For Fans Only" & "The Cream P U F" on iTunes now.
  3. It's some type of contract nonsense. In general, iTunes has always had better international licensing of digital music. Solution, buy them on iTunes & dig through the settings to set it up to convert downloads to MP3.
  4. If there are no references to: - Oscar - Slime tank blasters - GB2 Ecto-1 mods Then it should be pretty safe to assume GB2 is no longer in canon.
  5. I thought the gate incident was covered well enough in the anime. It was done in the background intentionally, since by the time the series takes place, the event is too far inti the past & world too damaged from the aftermath for there to be much care when the mystery is unraveled.
  6. I would watch Ana de Armas read the dictionary, paint a house, fill out paperwork, etc. Suffice it yo say they could have cast her as Jet or Spike & I wouldn't have minded.
  7. It's conditional on how they handle it in season 2. At the very least, there is a beauty in that, though it wouldn't be the bro-down we're used to. Also, I officially lay claim on the term "bro-down." In other news, between Bebop premiering this weekend & the Macross soundtracks going up for sale on iTunea tonight, I can't believe it just hit me now that the singer of "After, in the Dark" and "The Real Folk Blues" is the same person. I Feel so stupid!
  8. Ok, finished the season. While I agree with some reviews that they tried too hard to hit some of the popular episode beats without spending enough time on those actual stories, overall I liked it. Make no doubt about it, they absolutely ruined Vicious, and the only way to even remotely redeem that choice will be to: It was nice to see Adrian Barbeau in s spot on piece of casting though. The change from apes to trees was also an understandable practical change. John Noble seemed to have been wasted in comparison, but it was still nice to see him. There were interesting changes to Faye & her back story, but overall they work. I just wish they didn't waste all of the fun to be had in finding a betamax player. Ein's data dog abilities have also (so far) been glanced over: I expect some ground to be made up without all the pandemic filming restrictions when the second season happens.
  9. I see what you guys are talking about with Vicious. The guy they got looks more like a bootleg Iggy Pop. Real Iggy Pop even at his age would have been far more intimidating.
  10. I can't help but feel they wanted to do a Robert Rodriguez take on Bebop, but for some foolish reason didn't pay Robert Rodriguez to do Bebop. Also, no "Real Folk Blues." Why does Netflix hate end credits so much?
  11. And include working LED's & sounds with a cleverly hidden battery panel or USB port. Also a remote for said lights & sounds.
  12. Weird that the flickering popped back up in HG's masters, haven't seen that (that I know of) since ADV released their subbed Southern Cross set many years ago. They even sent out replacements for the affected disc's.
  13. No, everything after the original series has been disappointing & pointless.
  14. Bluray.com claims it was a 1080p master during the original release. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Robotech-The-Shadow-Chronicles-Blu-ray/845/ Whatever haplened, they've only been releasing it in 480i since Funimation lost the original license.
  15. I don't think many have addressed the strangest part of release is still the SD encode of "The Shadow Chronicles." Did HG lose their own HD masters? How hilarious is that?
  16. Maybe Robotech fans don't even watch it anymore, they just blindly throw money at re-releases hoping it'll lead to something new.
