    I have the ARII/IMAI 1/5000 cruiser and attacker kits. The attacker is just awful. I've been considering molding pieces like the legs and booms from the cruiser to make it look better. I do, however, have way too many things on my bench as it is, and little time to work there. So those projects are down the line some ways.

    My brief input: Bubblehead: easily standardized & maintained, great visibility. + Orange piping: maybe temp regulation, but it looks awful in promo shots. Barely noticeable in post-production. Pass Clunky gloves: look ridiculous without being attached to heftier arms. - Overall, it's a decent mix of functional & retro. I would've liked bigger suits like the Nostromo's though. (null)

    Don't the wings and stabilizers fold further down for battroid - so they should be able to move to a more proper angle for fighter. It sure does look purty in fighter though.

    Well OK, I may not be missing any real spoilers - I guess I just feel its unnecessary to watch such vids to whet my anticipation, when I'm already so stoked. Plus, then I start constructing my own narrative to connect the clip to what I've already seen in the trailers, which will be different from the movie... I'll just hold out for big-screen 3d awesomeness and hope the film holds up to scrutiny. I'm still following some of the viral ads, because those are pretty cool and simply flesh out the background a little. Hopefully I'll get to hang with a bud, grab some brewskis and watch Alien this weekend. I can't even remember the last time I watched that...

    Got my super packs from nanoplasm. Does the crotch armor really do anything? I haven't changed it from battroid, but so far, I've just left the original piece on. Downside, there seems to be some glue residue on the leg armor. Think I'd be safe trying a little alcohol or nail polish remover on it? Otherwise, it looks great! (null)

    Well, today's the last day of class for the semester, so Prof. Wife should have time for one more flick this week. At this point, I think we'll end up springing for a babysitter so we can both see Avengers in the theater. She's enjoyed watching silly action movies together again, and is also a huge JW fan. It'd be unfair to see it w/o her...

    Free preview weekend - how convenient! Watched Thor & Captain 'Merica with the wife. Pretty good. Obviously setting up many pieces for the Avengers. Now just need time for IM2 - I think I can skip NortonHulk. Now to start consulting with other geek professors to catch the new one this weekend.

    Just saw these pics of the 1/1 VF-25 via Mecha Guy. http://mecha-guy.blogspot.com/2012/04/30th-anniversary-macross-exhibition-11.html Very cool. I approve of the use of Century Gothic as well. Noticed some Engrish in there, of course. Are they still planning to build the rest of it to display at the larger venue?
