Dude! Yep, gonna have to do this, but I'll have to order in increments. 2 questions: A) it's hard to tell looking at the renders: what exactly is different about the shoulder missile packs? B) have you had a chance to write down the disassembly instructions? Ooh, what about decal sheets? Too awesome, Kurisama! (null)

I have those too. When you compare the quality of the sculpt to Alto, they're pretty much on par. While the girls look a little tall here, if you load up Alto in his EX Gear, they look good as a group. (null)

I was totally taken aback by this last night. I grew up surrounded by this, due to my dad's enthusiasm for it. Apollo models, the radio recordings on LP, Super8 reels of the landing... Just wow. Farewell Neil, Godspeed. (null)

Aw, sorry, just used my light missile decals. I had thought about scanning them before I cut em up - but didn't... I like you use of blue accents dude! (null)

Sweet! Got a couple other things in my cart from shapeways, but shipping for little stuff is crazy. (null)

Awesome! When are the parts going to be available?!

It looks much better than I'd anticipated. And fighter does look great. Not in the cards for me, though. Couldn't help but think this, with the action pose:

Prometheus - on Blu-Ray and DVD Oct. 9, 2012

I always kinda figured that: a) historically, the purpose of the the Ship's Cat™ was to hunt the mice and rats that would stow away on sea bearing vessels b) the Nostromo had Jones, the Ship's Cat of the Future!™ c) ergo, the Nostromo likely had rats or mice. Perhaps Space Rats. So Kane's chestburster might've hunted down some of these guys to grow to full size. But I like the mental image of this much better! -
Thanks, guys. I got the knee fixed up. I may have to pin that cannon to the ball joint, the JB Weld isn't working so great anymore. Now that the wife & kid are back home, I'll have to start scheduling my hobby time again. pfunk, my in-law's cat does the same thing as your avatar.

Well, I finished it up! Most of the photos turned out blurry though - my good camera will be returning soon. Unfortunately, the broken knee fix has loosened up and the Regult fell over shortly after the photos. Popped off a cannon too. Sigh. So, I'll fix those. Maybe try a little tape on the leg joint. Then hit it with some clear coat before I move back to the VF-1A.

I never realized that was minifig scale! Unfortunately, the licensing issues will certainly prevent this from winning on Cuuso, but maybe he can sell the plans afterward. Just too cool!

It's probably good that the existence of the vajra was kept secret - b/c Basara definitely would try to sing at them. Not as receptive as space whales... (null)

Man, I'd love a poster of that 30th artwork!

Sivil was my first guess too. Then Ozma could go all fanboy & Michel could try to get in her tight pants. Or, could be Gavil... Actually Gavil/Bobby could be kinda funny! Maybe the Sheryl as Basara figure is tied into this... (null)

Honestly, I'm sure they realized the resemblance to the VF-0's ordinance in the 11th hour - then realized that folks could arm their 171's WITHOUT BUYING BANDAI'S EXCLUSIVE ARMOR PACK!!!11! The hardpoints were on all the prototype pics until the last set. Hmmm, speaking of which, I should preorder my armor from NY...

The lines were really shallow, washes weren't working very well for me. So I busted out a gundam marker. They're not perfectly straight, but taking in the whole kit, good enough. At this point, I'll take finished over perfect! Might get some more work in tomorrow, but I got a lot of real stuff to do tonight... (null)

Part of me feels guilty modding a figure included version. Still looks fun, though. (null)

So do the q rau's w/ Millia figures command a higher premium? Wondering if the difference might pay for a pair of arms... (null)
