  1. On that - I always wondered how Ripley could tell it was a warning, if it was sooooo alien in origin. Maybe they were actually picking up a signal from the Prometheus' crew. Something like: "...we were wrong, we were so wrong..." ??? (null)
  2. Adjusted the levels on PetarB's hallway image. You can see the suits a little better now. Looks like they have rounded backs, the better to lounge in a Space Chair with.
  3. I'd never seen Daicon3 before now. Ah, how silly... Good fun.
  4. Ja, in an ideal world, we wouldn't have to choose, but some of us do. I'd rather have a VF-4 or a VF-19F, even a nice VF-1, rather than the AP, which completely obscures the 25S..
  5. I actually prefer the gray gunpod to the purple-blue one. Figures they'd announce the Armored Pack as soon as Nanoplasm orders the Super Packs! Honestly, as super-duper missley as it is, and awesome in the show - I think it hides the VF-25 too much for display purposes. I'm OK sticking with the Super set for display purposes. Graham, it's hard to tell from the photos, but do the gray paint and gray plastic match?
  6. But I see where Renegadeleader1 is coming from. I always got the impression that sentient aliens or alien tech were rare in the franchise. Therefore it was a BIG DEAL if something new was found. I know what poontang is, but what are the Arcturians? Are they sentient? Humanoid? Along the same lines, what other critters did the marines have experience with? Of course, these were largely throw-away character-building lines, but mysteries prevail. I'm sure there's fanfics out there! (null)
  7. Eh, we'll see. I wasn't interested in Clone Wars (v2) when it started, then it turned out to be the prequel we all wanted. Now I'm trying to catch up. I'll give it a chance if it happens. (null)
  8. Ah, flip! Guess I shouldn't have put off my return to eBay for so long... Trying to decide if I wanted to get in on the fast pack group by, but since it ends tomorrow, I guess I'm out. Ah well. (null)
  9. That's crazy. I'm not a member over there, but I do check it out for inspiration. I'll be sure not to sign up until this blows over. (null)
  10. Step 1: mess around in 3d software Step 2: ??? Step 3: profit! (null)
  11. IF the missiles were separate, I'd hope they give you a couple extras. You might not notice losing one as you swoosh around the room. If they went the magnet route, all the missile would need is s steel rod in it. (null)
  12. Huh... Note to self - don't stash my heroin in a vampire casket. (null)
  13. That sucks. I'd read it in the 1/100 thread, but I was hoping he was the dumper, not the dumpee. (null)
  14. Sounds like something akin to FB2012 - which seems appropriate. Might get a new valk out of it, since Frontier was having it's 18th Miss Macross - so this could be a decade later. Personally, I think the field is still saturated with the descendants of the VF-24. And danger, I still want my 171! That silhouette reminds me of Mylene in her "incognito" getup. (null)
  15. Ummm, sorry guys, I think I might be in the wrong neighborhood... Could you point me in the way of Federal St? (null)
  16. As I've been pondering a gerwalk conversion for my next Hasegawa, I have come to the conclusion that 1/100 mg hands (or aftermarket eq) are a good size for a 1/72 valk. If I recall, the poseability on these is pretty poor. (null)
  17. Might check this out. As daughter gets older, I'll need an English version for her. Is this the dub w/ Mari as Minmei? (null)
  18. See, I actually like the SD battroid better. It's just far less fiddly than the final one. Also a better design successor to the VF-1. Granted, I see that the long nosecone could cause problems, but it could always fold back ala VF-3000... Ah never mind, UN Spacy was obviously working off the torso design of the SV-51.
  19. Right there with you Graham, I clicked with trepidation & fear, finding relief... (null)
  20. Jeebus, it's huuuuge! (null)
  21. Wow, can you toss in a soda can so we can really get a sense of scale? Looks great! (null)
  22. You know, I've thought of picking one of these up to use as a base figure for some custom work. The size and articulation seemed just about right for my plans. Glad I never got to it, then. Thanks for the info!
  23. Finally got a chance to do a bit more work in the dungeon! Today I attempted to use my $5 garage sale air compressor to lay down some paint. The thing doesn't seem to be putting out enough pressure... But, luckily I still had a couple Badger cans laying about, so I started applying the first coat of brown. I'm still getting some of the std fighter pieces in place, so I couldn't get everything tonight, but it's progress! I also managed to put the blue on my Imai Regult update. Turned out a little darker than I'd have liked... Edit: Couldn't sleep this morning, so I got another coat of brown on this sucker.
  24. Except for the built-in "aim here" yellow stripes. (null)
  25. Wow, those are some nice pics, man. Love the black background! (null)
