I think it looks good overall, and I like the chunky fighter over the too-skinny lineart. What I don't care for is the tone of the grey. I think the white area of the head should be the color of the intakes, and everything else much darker. The blue/black of the exterior is great. Just way too much contrast on those intake covers. Bottom line, it's pretty cool, but way out of my $$ range. If I want this, I'll have to wait to see if it goes on sale like the VF-22s. I'll save my $ for the 19F. -

My only criticism on the SV-88 is the nosecone. I'd rather it fold back like the VF-171. It just looks a little excited. And surprised, given the battroid posture. Other than that, awesome renderings!!

Almost as mythical: a regular paycheck in this podunk town that makes daycare worth the cost! I'm also saving up for a 19 or 17 @ Xmas this year too. At any rate, here's what I had in mind! And now, back to our regularly scheduled topic...

Thanks! I don't own the books, but that enabled me to comb the intarwebz in the correct way for that specific image. I thought I'd seen it here... I'm aiming to paint my Hasegawa VF-1A as a brownie, styled after this design.

So I've been searching around and found nothing. Wasn't there a good picture of Hikaru's Vf-1j colors from the first? Seems it was all colored in on the old lineart, but the new scheme. I've found a Hase 1/48, b/w scans, and that Wave battroid; but not the pic I remember. Am I crazy?

Wouldn't be hard to add a fast pack sprue to the 11, a lot easier than the VF-1. I'd bet it's a new decal set, though. Maybe the M7 colors? Eager to see the D!

Even I would, depending on how the battroid turns out. It's grown on me. Depending on my financial sitch anyway. Stay @ home dad is very rewarding, but the pay sux!

I was thinking along the same lines as shapeways with my Q-rau. I have a friend with a Makerbot Cupcake, but I don't think I'll be able to get good resolution out of it. I got a good deal for this toy on eBay a while back, turns out it came with the Milia figure too. This conversion is on my to-do list, but a few others are slotted before it. I need more practice anyway. Grapetang & exo, thanks for the links!
