  1. Prometheus has some terribly written characters and pretty poor writing overall. It's a shame, felt like there was a good movie possible there. Still not the worst movie ever but... not good.

Got it at HLJ. w00t The lack of warning and non canon essence of this one may make it a lot easier to snag.
  3. They were dropped after the first Arcadia VF-1S with display stand.
  4. What don't you like about the HMR regult?

A ploy to get young Delta peeps into buying the HMR line. I'm not against the scheme but would have much prefered a 1D, VT1, or VE1. Now for the DX VF31 Focker announcement.
  6. I don't know what any of the secondary stuff says but I figure it like this: Prequels: peak of a civilization, lots of technology Originals: Monopoly of new tech on one side, the rebels having gathered the best leftovers Newers: Almost post apocalyptic. The power structure was destroyed and there's been a vacuum. Ya gotta figure the universe was sort of starting from scratch after RoTJ and the way TFA makes it seem, it didn't come together very smoothly.
  7. Some day, I'm gonna review these toys, but in the meantime, here's a fun comparison picture.
  8. I think if you're in the US you won't have any issues. I've never had any problems getting huge packages from overseas.
  9. Was the Soltic even shown? I thought it was only teased via silhouette.
  10. C'mon guys, no one mentioned the VF100 VF-25 toys? Those might be my least favorite toys ever.
  11. They have the following releases (which is a lot for them): April Hikaru Strike VF-1S May Hikaru Strike VF-1S Premium Edition July Focker Strike VF-1S Premium Edition August Miria Super VF-1J December Max Super VF-1J
  12. Arcadia is 1/24 IIRC. The fewture says it's 25CM tall in slave mode and 26.5CM long which makes it 1/15 scale.

Not a thing last time I checked. The Tamashii Nations 2015 event teased that all Macross vehicles could be HMR toys some day and there were lots of painted "prototypes" to show off this concept, I think the VF-0 was one of those. Most were just 3D printed solid mock-ups though... not something that indicated a toy was even in the planning stages.
  14. It looks somewhat crude... maybe it's a hand painted prototype? I still want one but not to the tune of 39,800Yen.

    Ready for Daedalus action!
  16. Poor Dougram, it meets such a lame end. I would buy other mecha from the series though, I dig the designs.

Maybe people are putting it in PW and then returning for full price because they find it on sale somewhere else. That release seems to be the most widely available. Not sure on the canopy.
  18. The Gerwalk support is a little thicker on reissues making it work a little better. Edit: that was a reissue vs original comment. I don't know of any changes once the reissues started happening other than the upside down SMS on the shoulders.
  19. I didn't realize the "Premium" version was expected a month after the regular release. Premium version is showing 5/31 at NY so no payment requests there.

    Bandai DX VF-31

Would I prefer it be more angled? Sure. Definitely not "terribly" bothered by it though. I'm curious if the lack of angle was strategic to dodge having it go across more moving pieces. Since I plan to transform my toys, if it was done to help avoid issues, then I'm less bothered by it. If they just set a machine wrong then yeah... lame. I don't think I have the patience to wait several years for a reissue that may/may not address it.
  21. No Takatoku love? From many many moons ago... I think before the VF-22 or Yamato V2s existed...

I wish I had room for more monsters, love that toy.
  23. The renewal VF25 cost about the same as the original... like 2000 yen more and you got a display stand. This actually sounds like a Robotech vs Macross debate in some respects on a very high level. Robotech tells the story of a prolonged resource war. Macross made the very conscious effort not to go that way and it probably saved the franchise since the pop music is a big part of its success. It definitely causes some groan worthy moments but I still find the shows fun. I really enjoyed Frontier.
  24. NY and combine with premium Roy to also save on shipping seems like a slam dunk.
