    As far as I can tell, that's amazingly accurate to the line art... it's sliding out and pivoting from the bay and it's managing to give the toy's chest huge clearance from the ground. It probably won't be 'fun' but it's a pretty nice piece of engineering!

    Probably just a legal thing to skip some sort of testing when you know your audience is in its 40s.

    MOSPEADA cyclone huh? Love that they only did the VR-52F and are putting both Ray and Stick in it... Because unique arm molds was a bridge too far.

    It looks to me like Death Stranding would have been shrugged off as awful if it didn't have Kojima's name on it.

    Yeah, they've gone from a favorite of mine to "if all else fails" in quick order. For something like the missile set, it's unlikely you'd need customer support though.

    Maybe it's not a control surface on the stabilizer but a means for folding it over to make it smaller for battroid and they just didn't do that at the display.

    I really hope Bandai at least fixes the vertical stabilizers. They're huge and not even the right shape, apparently so they can have control surfaces? They should shrink them way down and it'd look better in both modes. It'd also be a big plus if they could figure out how to narrow the waist... it has that 'riding a horse' wide hip thing going on.

    I really wish they had prioritized shrinking the backpack for battroid. Not sure how they could but it would have been nice.

    Though it may seem a sucky compromise to get bigger legs, it's worth noting that bigger legs may mean a world to this toy in terms of handling. Bandai might be prioritizing making a stable, possibly even fun to handle, battroid toy over slavishness to the line art. They might be sitting around going "if we don't worry too much about the shape of this part, we could change this joint so the toy can pull off this pose!" Or they could be inept. We'll find out later.

    Teenagers are not the must sensible and they live in a universe where singing ended wars... Not a total defense of course. Also, don't watch any horror films... You'll be appalled by the decision making.

    Well it would certainly get mentioned in the review, but I buy and keep my toys and have no desire to own a messed up one.

    Even the B stars of Macross would sell better than the A stars of Southern Cross... but I'd bet we'll get variants of the A stars before we get the B stars of Macross. Here comes Rick in his dress uniform... then Rick in his episode one flight suit, then comes the DYRL versions....

    You're going down a robot... errr rabbit hole... you're going to discover soon that transforming robots aren't all that sensible in the first place.... you might even go full circle to the realization that they're just there because the notion is cool.... and that it looks cool when big robots do things that only humans do... and that it looks cool when a robot stares down the barrel of a gun.

    It was truly head-scratching casting. Fat people should be up in arms about thin actors stealing their jobs. I bet Louis CK was originally cast but then it came out that he was... ya know.... and he got yanked (not that he's a huge guy) You know who it should have been? Wayne Knight. But maybe that'd be too close to his Jurassic Park role. If you're going to go Jim Carrey, why not Melissa McCarthy? This is going to be such a train wreck.

    I'm quoting myself here because I was totally wrong about the preorders going live tonight. The silver-lining? It sounds certain they are going up before Yellow ships at the end of the month.
