  1. @tekering love the hairdo pics!
  2. I think they actually track both the track and the conversion to sales rate. So, traffic helps, buying things while you're there also helps :). I updated my bookmark so I'm always shopping there under my link I put a transformation guide up for the classic 1/35 scale toy yesterday and have mostly updated the old text review on the site with all new higher definition/4K photos. Thanks to Tekering I was able to get this box shot up: Some day I'll hope to get other language variants and that faux anime version up also. I'm surprised how much fun I had doing this review... though my red Alpha is a bit of a QC dud. It occurred to me that a big part of the reason I always think of the Alpha as being a very chunky fighter is because this toy has left such an impression on me. It's like a gorilla in soldier mode.
  3. Appreciated!
  4. I liked Mila Jolovich as the 5th Element better
  5. Oh no need to cancel. Yes, that is the link that tells BBTS I've sent traffic their way, it doesn't go directly to any item, just the store.
  6. I hope you used my campaign link! https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_campaign=ScorchedEarthToys
  7. While that was my interpretation, it doesn't make sense in a few ways. You could say "he was ignorant of her origins" because he doesn't seem to know it when he relays the story to the kids, but we get a flashback of her saying "I have to tell you about my past." Then she goes looking for a way to 'help Elsa' but that doesn't make sense if she herself is the unifier...
  8. Your hope should be in sentinel, not evolution toy.
  9. Saw it, it was fun, I didn't understand the parents relationship at all though. What does the dad know, when does he know it, what was the mom's relationship to the spirit. I think I may have missed a few elements but ultimately it wasn't a big deal, still fun.
  10. Fantastic, thanks a ton!
  11. That's the one and that last pic is perfect. Do you own it? I have the same Robotech releases but I could use pics of the HR box if it's not terribly inconvenient.
  12. The way I imagined it would be to have one more hinge in the backplate... But yeah, maybe it'd have to be a much bigger, more complicated toy to be over engineered to the point of mimicking stylized art.
  13. Yup...
  14. Hey guys, this news has given me a desire to update my 1/32 Gakken Legioss review. I can't locate the images I saved of the generic space war variant that seemed to be sold at the end. It's neither Robotech/Mospeada/or Henshin Robo, has some unique and interesting looking art of a Green Legioss IIRC but I think the box may have contained any color of toy (the one I remember seeing had a Blue Legioss inside). Can anyone point me to some pictures of it? I also could use pics of the Matchbox and Henshin Robo boxes if anyone feels like sharing. I own the Excite and GoJ versions.
  15. Hopefully someone else can answer more definitively but all i can remember was something being said like "we gave him black eyes, as a joke" and that was it.
  16. Yeah, in Robotech he learns the secrets of Protoculture by getting fried by a panel while exploring the ruins of the SDF-1 (IIRC). In Macross, his eyes are just a gag... it's intentional but just for shiggles.
  17. I decided I didn't need an extra last night... but had I known about the KitKats....
  18. I would guess the issues with the SV-51 are the culprit... They had to rush order more legs which probably means bumping the Garland.
  19. It used to allow you to get email alerts on up to like 5 sites and only so many emails a month.
  20. yeah, distill is a page monitor. You pick something like the "sold out" sign on the page and monitor it. If it switches to something else, you get a ping. It works better on some pages than others.
  21. The "hot" thing is all me. I don't think it's terribly controversial to say that audiences give a whole lot more leeway to attractive characters than 'regulars'. To your point, if Rose was hot she'd still be a character that wouldn't pass scrutiny... but the average audience would put her under a lot less scrutiny if she was smoking hot. It can work multiple ways. If Poe wasn't handsome, his character would probably be pilloried far more. And I'm not trying to say that this is some terrible condition unique to any movie, it's been happening since the first films. I still think that in a world of future tech, questionable edits, and plenty of off-screen events the audience shouldn't feel they must be a witness to, there's no reason to think someone can't recognize someone else. To your point, he does have a unique look and Rose seems like a bit of an odd-ball so there's certainly more implausible things that happen after that moment that deserves way more ire. And yes, I was teasing Seto that it seems wrong to say that anyone is a stand-in for an Ewok... no matter how reasonable the thought process that led to the conclusion.
  22. There's "no way" she could have known about Finn? I know details about people I don't otherwise associate with in the least and I'm not part of a rebel faction. Of all the things to have rub you the wrong way, that one seems so insanely minor. Otherwise yes, everything with Rose failed, though I would say most of that isn't because of Rose, just because of some awful writing decisions that included her. Also, she's not hot, if she were hot there'd be a lot less criticism. Isn't it super insensitive to be insinuating that a new character is a stand in for an over grown shih-tzu?
  23. Cool! Hope it is and I hope Roy follows suit!
  24. Yes, calling it a Mustang was stupid... especially when they have "GT" to indicate a performance package. They could have named it anything "GT" and it would have worked. There are also like a hundred other horse names out there if they wanted to pick up some of the Mustang vibe and create a whole new "stable" of vehicles. Seriously, WTF Ford... That said, I haven't seen it in person but the pictures look like an electric Mazda CX-9 (and I think the CX-9 is a decently attractive SUV). It's certainly much better looking (IMHO) than the Tesla Model X, which I still think looks like someone took a Model S balloon and over-inflated it .
  25. I got my notification from PlazaJapan... but apparently I used the cheapest shipping option so I won't see it for a while!
