Everyone I know who has seen it has said "It was pretty good" usually with lots of caveats. Basically it was "fun" not "brilliant". I'd probably put myself in that same group. I think too many folks around here have sour grapes in their popcorn containers.

Stealth strike parts were available as a bundle with the Stealth VF-1J in the 'deluxe set' or sold separately. There was only one run of the stealth parts so they don't come up all that frequently.

It's definitely a custom, very pretty.

I think the GBP bundle was literally just a VF-1J Hikaru and Anime GBP shrinkwrapped together. I think it was also the first reissue of the GBP, before they switched up the box art.

They should make the Draken the cannon fodder of the next Macross series and figure out a way to tweak the mold to make it a little more friendly. Apparently the model had some good ideas Bandai should have incorporated.

Toys don't have tactical functions, they're just supposed to look cool! If you don't think they look cool, you just never put in the batteries. Easy peasy guys.

I agree on the chest plate, it takes an otherwise very graceful transformation (when the joints are stiff at least) and adds a step that feels haphazard. I think that was the big step up the 31 introduced, transformation of that toy is a joy (except for scratched paint). If this toy is getting reissued (WHY??) I would be amazed to see any changes at all.. Probably Bandai testing the waters to see if they need to revise the mold or if the old version is still "good enough." That said, Bandai also has a history of using a mold again while deep into design work for its replacement.

The email sent out said they were hoping to send it out by Chinese New Year (1/25/20) but the tone of the email isn't optimistic, as-in things will shut down for Chinese New Year, all momentum will be lost, and we'll be lucky to see the product before March.

I thought my canopy wouldn't shut perfectly once, the removable console wasn't seated 100%. Once that was fixed it was all good.

Bummer, should have made them peg in parts so they could swivel also.

If you were to get a Tenso address could you subscribe directly and ship via boat like every six months? -
We got Hikaru's so Max and Hayao seemed very likely at one point but things have cooled significantly since then.

I wonder if the Toynami Action figures could be modified to work in that thing.... I may have to try that out. -

I use premiere on a PC and love it. -
But why Naboo? Resources? Why not any other planet? They don't even bother establishing any significance. The blockade doesn't seem to have any negative impact. The audience is told 'just go with it' and that's... Ya know... Fine... Not great writing though.

For all the negativity in this thread, saying "the scrawl says it's important so just go with it" seems curious. We see no negative repercussions from the blockade. It's a planetary macguffin.

Oh great, what did you get from that crawl? Naboo is important because... It is being taxed?

TPM is awful start to finish. No explanation for what makes Naboo valuable, super speed Jedi, incompetent villains, unlikable characters, awful acting, everything having to do with Anakin is cringeworthy, like it does almost nothing right. If it weren't star wars it would have been laughed out of theaters. RotJ is much better than that but it still has a non sensical first act and a final act that over relies on shih tzus. Still, fond memories of it.

Just saw TRoS and I thought it was the best installment of the new three which I guess is damning with faint praise. Yes, some of it was clunky, some stuff was ham-fisted, some stuff was straight up dumb, but it was entertaining. It's hard for me to make a list because, as a kid, I loved RotJ but it's pretty awful as an adult. So I'd probably rank it above TRoS but it honestly should be similar or worse. TPM is the low point for me, even lower than TLJ, and when one stops to ponder how awesome TPM should have been, and the squandered opportunity it represents, it is just sad. I would probably put TLJ on par with AotC and RotS for a tie of movies I really don't want to watch again.

Ha, I ordered from NY within hours of the listing and also got bumped to April. Not a fan of what they do with my trust over there.
