I've been curious about the math on this (not that I doubt it';s true). We hear things like "the virus has an r0 of roughly 2.4" (meaning every one person gives it to 2.4 people) and that the virus has an incubation period of 1 to 2 weeks and recover period of 2 to 3 weeks meaning a max of 5 weeks with the bug. One would think that social distancing would greatly reduce the r0 and ten weeks of of social distancing would be plenty of time for people who had just gotten sick to show symptoms, infect their family members, and all be on the road to recovery... but apparently that's not at all the case. The masks thing is unfortunate. People have been buying n95 masks and similar which is not what they need which created a shortage for healthcare professionals and caused the whole "don't wear masks" thing. The campaign should have been "make your own mask!"

On the bright side, I wasn't expecting anything to need shipping (for me at least) until the 0D hits. My VF-4G Focker HMR toy probably won't arrive until about the same time. Sigh... I'm looking forward to when the news starts improving.... seems like every day things just keep getting a little worse right now.

Yes on the loose head laser. Not sure on the other two items but I'd wager at least 10% failure rate and Bandai probably helped people out shortly after release (provided they emailed and Japanese and provided a Japanese shipping address) but I'm sure that boat has long sailed.

OMG you saw humans today? I miss humans. Some of my best friends were humans. Unfortunately, even in the best of times, about 50% of humans are below average. Sorry it was an unpleasant experience. I know we're all looking forward to having some feeling of normalcy. In the meantime, at least we have Animal Crossing on the Switch. I purchased a VF-4G Focker from CDJapan. They shipped it to my old address. It got shipped back to Japan just as things were going from bad to crazy bad. CDJapan re-shipped it to the correct address two weeks ago and it's still hasn't moved beyond "in collection." Bummed but it is giving me time to get caught up on some other reviews. -
Bravo JVMacross, you definitely thought of a few I hadn't. I wished I had had a Henkei VF-1J available when I did the shoot since it seems to fit really well with everything else represented but most of those others would have been a fine addition as well. Unfortunately, a toy that iconic is spread throughout a lot of storage bins so it's hard to imagine I'll be able to pull together a more complete spread any time soon.

I don't know that they ever intended to produce those items and this mess certainly didn't help. Delta is old at this point. If more Delta comes out, that would help.

I don't think the HCM needs to be included. If it was included, it would be a branch off that led to the Toynami MPC and then died. Also, it's got the name "model" in it so it's easily ignored.

Both graphics indicate they don't include every reissue. I do think the 1/48 graphic should be updated to show the Hikaru 1S weathering separately since it had the sticker on the box. The Hikaru 1J box does not.

The problem with including HCMs is both scale and scheme. The HCM had no Roy it appears that the dominant scheme being used.

While it's not helping, I feel like they didn't become available until a while after the Arcadia release. The M&M schemes just aren't terribly popular and Arcadia have us two versions of them.

Looks like I'll actually be getting some KOs if this really happens. Edit- last time this happened, we found out Arcadia was doing reissues of the same schemes... Wonder if that will happen again.

"I just can't find that Hayao Kakizaki VF-1A I desperately want" said no one ever within three months of the toy's release. Any store right now that sees there's still demand while the order window is open will likely find a way to get more and the places you normally use as last resort (nin-nin and Mykombini) will probably come through since it's very unlikely there's going to be a huge swelling of demand after release.

Oh maybe you can enlighten me on this. I have a 1/48 VF-1S low vis head but it doesn't have the clear plastic visor. Did it just get lost somewhere along the way or was there an easy way to make that visor? -
