Good catches. Would Prometheus be right though? The M&M 1Js weren't introduced until after the SDF-1 had taken its final resting place on Earth IIRC.

This all shows up as black text in a black background on my phone but I'm looking forward to reading it later.

I think the bike and Legioss are both T-Rex designs.

The connection in fighter mode does pretty well so long as you don't angle the nose down too much. I had no problem using flight pose stands for combined fighter mode. I own three and have swapped the rods around a bit. If you don't worry about banking, they do come with a stand that locks things pretty solid If you're going to do partially transformed or varied combinations, you'll start needing two stands doing anything exciting beyond straight fighter mode takes some time and patience to figure out. It took a long time for me to figure out how to balance all that weight. Again though, a combined fighter mode is pretty straightforward.

Who is the "them" in your question? The speakerpodcast guys or Sentinel? Sentinel definitely knows about it. Yaco knows Sentinel and Yaco has documented the issue for them and others.

There were green and dark treads in the anime... They just don't do much.

I think the implication is that "no desire" means not enough to warrant mass production and the proof of that isn't the few of us liking a prototype... It's in this thing selling well if it gets made.

I'm sure they'll do another run... I hope they also do something like an "03B" with different accent pieces or maybe just a warmer color so you can mix and match for different looks.

Super Dimension Convention - Saturday, October 3, 2020
jenius replied to sh9000's topic in Conventions and Local Gatherings
I feel like it makes a great addition to a planned trip to Los Angeles more than the kind of thing that is it's own trip (for anyone more than a long drive). Like I have family in LA so I would suggest that be the weekend we visit family and then I could cruise off for a few hours. The negative of my doing it this way if I don't get to attend the after events usually. Maybe this year will be different since I'm moving to LA.- 18 replies

I think I caused the flipped fin, surprised more people didn't comment on that. I didn't notice until the video had been up for a few days. I re shot the article pics but since it doesn't impact anything in the video to make it wrong I left that alone. If you watch any video you'll always find at least one goof... Sometimes more.

Man, taking the public's temperature before making creative projects seems like an imprecise science... the kind of thing you look at after a project succeeds or failed to say "I told ya so" rather than being anything you can use constructively beforehand.

I HAVE to believe that the next DX VF-1 toy Bandai sells will improve the leg pegs so that it works better with the strike parts.. and maybe those arm pegs also. Seems like it would be super simple to adjust their shape to make everything work better. Without the strike parts the backpack provides a redundant latch point that helps keep it together.

It looks like it is now a tiny Banday DX VF-1 rather than a tiny Arcadia 1/60 VF-1. They've included the integrated neck cavity filler, joints on the shoulders to lower the arms for GERWALK (I think), it looks like some sort of a rotating waist (curious how that works), the outer hinge at the GERWALK joint to achieve a wider stance, reworked the light gimmick so you don't need to pull the nosecone off, and tweaked the stand so it doesn't just work for fighter mode,. If they made it so the missiles don't yank the hard points off, this thing might be full of win.

That seems the most likely scenario to me as well and folks who don't care about the super parts can be happy. Maybe Milia's parts will come with the baby carrier.
