That's just the USPS doing it's part to be included in bailouts, they know the government won't let it happen

I feel like I played every Sega CD game at some point but oddly, even though that game is 100% up my alley, I have zero recollection of it (just watched some gameplay on Youtube). Looks pretty cool and definitely thick with the Macross vibes.

Would you like to see return of original characters?
jenius replied to Psajdak's topic in Movies and TV Series
I want to see the mechs again more than the people. Is that odd? Maybe a story of the second MegaRoad or something along those lines where the VF-1 is the primary fighter, the destroids are present, and there's some VF-11 precursor (or SV-51 follow-up) as a special ops vehicle. Maybe sprinkle in some VF-4s. Heck, the bad guys can even be Zentraedi or "supervision army". If they want to have a tagalong from the original show, I wouldn't be against that shoehorn. Admiral Claudia? I also wouldn't be opposed to them getting pretty much wiped out halfway through the show, then teaming up with an alien civilization to create some really alien looking mecha, to finally overcome the baddies. I'm thinking like transformable Gradius fighters. -
Think of bandai like general motors.

Whoa, they had Hikaru kill Quamzin there... a few interesting changes made in those animations. -

Are the ankle guards hinged or is that just a different angle at that spot? A hinge seems awfully ambitious for everything else I'm seeing.

Once we got the "no SAL" notice from Japan, I pretty much stopped shopping from Japan. I'm cheap

Pretty sure it was just a 3d printed "look what we could do" more than a will do.

They should reissue it. I would love it if they reissued the 19kai with that other sound pod Yamato teased a while ago.

I'd guess we have 0D PF in May, VF-1J + GBP in August, and FB 2012 toys in December, then March 2021 Nora and June 2021 Hargun.

When I was researching MBA programs, there were a lot that did distance learning (and even more so now). I will tell you, doing a remote MBA seems wasteful (even now). All MBA programs teach you roughly the same thing and what you're really paying for is the network. This is why the Ivy Leagues remain the Ivy Leagues. You make good friends in a tough MBA program, you struggle together on team projects, you try to constantly impress your team mates, and when you're done, you all get high ranking jobs somewhere. When it's time to fill an executive level position, you quickly say "I know somebody" and call your friends in the program. If you reduce that team-building element to people who are the equivalent of Facebook friends, you reduce the likelihood that the network will continue to lift itself up after the program. Even employers, when they see "MBA" on a resume, think 'this guy/gal comes with a network' and when they stop seeing that, MBA will have much less value. So while I think there's tremendous room for online learning, particular for certificate and technical programs, they are certainly not a substitute for more immersive learning (not that anyone here was arguing they are). High School and younger will remain as it is because we live in a society that has gone full dual income so we all need the daycare.

Macross World Podcast - feedback & comments
jenius replied to Tochiro's topic in Movies and TV Series
So basic question here, what was Itano's role in the production. I know we refer to missile spam as the Itano Circus. Was he responsible for directing out the battle scenes or something? In my youth, when I was watching Robotech, I always thought that Macross had way better fighting sequences than the latter chapters... would Itano deserve credit for that?- 1147 replies

All GBP releases have gray goggles, Yamato or Arcadia, if yours doesn't then someone swapped toys on you.
-
I think PF is performing better for them than weathering did from a sales perspective and weathering was done with stated limits so they probably wouldn't like the sound of doing more... But I like the idea.
-
I wish this was a PF...
-
It's a mistake.... the same mistake Arcadia made last time they reissued the GBP. For whatever reason, they have stock photos of a regular VF-1J in a GBP that they use but they confirmed during production last time that the gray goggle would be there and I'm sure it will be again this time.

Upgrading a classic: yet another custom Bandai/Matchbox 1/3000 SDF-1

Check the dimensions in attack mode, it may resize during transformation. -
While not transforming, they're still mostly metal and very detailed. Hard to imagine they could reach any economies of scale on obscure vehicles. I doubt even the alpha fighter would be profitable.
-
I honestly think 4/30 was just a guess and then Arcadia probably corrected them.
-
Yeah, that's some hefty price inflation from the original $19.99... which was a much more appropriate price. Not as crazy as what they're doing with their Morphers though.

Is boat shipping still an option? I'm pretty sure I ordered 3 sets through NY via boat.

I wonder if these were originally planned to be WonderCon and SDCC exclusives but got bumped because both are doubtful (not sure if WC is cancelled or just postponed).
