It's interesting. If you go by the numbers, this film may beat out Avatar or anything Marvel studios has done. On pre sales alone. So chances are good Disney will make their money. But chances are ,also , that the fandom will rank this trilogy quite low. Disney seems to be redeeming itself with the series format. It will be interesting to see how Obi-wan ranks.

Bolt’s Blt comp entry#1 Neo Grade VF1 Armored Valkyrie
Bolt replied to Bolt's topic in The Workshop!
Thanks @arbit Ya, it's a bit ambitious lol. I like the shard camo look . I will do a Hasegawa super strike VF in the same scheme, eventually, as i like custom squadrons. -
Bolt’s Blt comp entry#1 Neo Grade VF1 Armored Valkyrie
Bolt replied to Bolt's topic in The Workshop!
Here's my nearly completed entry. Bugger the rain! My airbrush set up is outdoors right now, so i haven't been able to matt finish and apply water slides. So close! Could use some more detail and finish work, but it can also be like icing a cake, lol. So here it is. Apologies for my lack of lighting and photography skills. I will be posting more pics of this and past work on , as well as my finishing touches. This is my first resin kit and it's been very satisfying so far. Cheers -
Lol. Sorry friend, you're gonna have to hear about it from us

It's a Sad state of affairs in the land of Laralay.. Not all of the EU was great. But I enjoyed it immensely. I've always been open to what the new SW could be, even if it wasn't my preference. As long as it was good.. It's not good. As much as anyone wants to talk trash about the old SW and hindsight it down to nothing , it was good. It was why we bought the comics and toys and legos and books and built custom lightsabers that are bada$$. Yes i'm gonna see this on the big screen, I've seen all eight episodes on the big screen as they premiered. Not gonna skip out now just because it's not what i want or particularly feel vested in. And yes, that means it's not really exciting. I was more excited by Godzilla.

VF-1 Booster Launch Vehicle in stock at SSM!
Bolt replied to Return To Kit Form's topic in Model kits
Bummer.. that's very disappointing and extra work for you I hope they can replace it for you. -
I wasn't big into that conic back in the day. (Nor Spawn for that matter) but i was really into image comics . I think it could be an interesting movie. Has potential. And, let's be honest, everything is getting thrown against the wall these days. Why don't we see a Stray Toasters movie by Bill Sienkiewics now..? Although I'd rather see a film version of his and Frank Millers Electra: The Assasin mini series..

VF-1 Booster Launch Vehicle in stock at SSM!
Bolt replied to Return To Kit Form's topic in Model kits
Nice! I wonder if these things were also designed to launch Valks in the vacuum of space or other planet surfaces . Like from the surface of the moon..or from a planet like Mars. -
Is this really happening? Well, MTFBW these folks cuz it sure ain't with mr bad robot.. And if it's gonna be a train wreck, why not an R rated Tarantino train wreck. At least it will go out in gritty style

Not surprised at all. This falls right in line with HG taking credit for Japanese works. Even if they do have the license to market this stuff.

Time flies My point being they're not heavy on mecha like Bandai. Just as a reference, Hasegawa started making plastic models in 1961 (they've been around since 1941!)

The differences from the Frontier tv show and movies are quite contrary..Granted this is nothing new for Macross. But Frontier really is striking.

Lol. Would love some of that action! But remember folks, Hasegawa is mostly known for doing real world fighting machines (and cars and motorcycles). They've only , relatively recently, started doing Macross stuff.

Emigrant fleet Frontier eventually settled on the Vajra home world , "rich in Fold quartz". So a relatively rich immigrant fleet is now even richer? What are the chances N.U.N.S. is now more heavily involved? Especially , considering the whole Vajra incident. And Galaxy is still out there, presumably.

See above. Mikimoto San is too busy working on other stuff, I presume. Don't know about the Cycomi app.

Looks really good. Maybe a tad dark on the lighter areas but that is really personal preference and how much action that bird has seen
