Interesting. I will try this with my MG Hi Nu Ver. Ka. Some random thoughts about Gunpla. I've built the MG Sazabi Ver. Ka and I really dislike the placement of the runner gates. They are mostly in places where they are visible and when I cut them with the nippers they damage the plastic on the actual part. Of course this could be due to my inexperience with building model kits but I can't remember having this problem before my kit building hiatus or with the other Gunpla kits. It is especially noticeable on the black parts. After I built four Gunpla kits I really want Bandai to design the hip joints in a way where they can handle the backpack. The friction of the current designs doesn't seem to handle heavier backpacks well. All the suits from the RGs (Strike Freedom and Destiny) to the MGs (Nu Gundam and Sazabi) have this problem. The same goes for the ball joints on the waist skirts on the MG kits. The ball joints just doesn't gut it for me. Building a PG Unicorn seems like fun but I really dislike the translucent red plastic part. I wonder if I can spray paint them with a red metallic coat (or better in metallic turquoise ) to emulate the look of the Robot Damashii figures. So that's all I need to start panel lining the Sazabi. On the next RG (the Justice) I will panel line the kit while building it and see what I like better. Panel lining the whole Sazabi seems like a endless task.

But the unfinished Death Star from RotJ looks so much cooler than the one from Episode 4.

I personally can't understand why this is an issue. -

GIGANTIC ACTION SCORPONOK? GIGANTIC ACTION SCORPONOK!!! This is a strange toy. I don't get the appeal. It is probably the intersection of Jumbo Machinder and Transformers collectors. Sadly no firing fist.- 17164 replies

Thanks for the recommendation but I'm more into the ZoE mechs because I played the game. Also the Knights of Sidonia mech design does nothing for me.

I had an epiphany on the commute back home (I'm sure someone else came up with this long time ago). The Autobots choose cars for disguise because they want to blend in very well and to drive a car around is way less suspicious than flying a jet through a monitored air space. The Desepticons don't give a sh** about stealth and if they are discovered by people or not. They just like to demonstrate they power and might.- 17164 replies

This year? I think this is highly unlikely since we don't have any release date and they already got other products in the pipeline like the reissue of the Koenig Monster in April 2015. I will probably get a release date a few month in advance. If they don't go back into Bandais vault like the S.H.Monsterarts Vajra.

So it is a redshirt? To me Convoy looks to messy with all the colors. Especially the black forearms are an eyesore. They also got the color on the stripe of the truck/the color of the stripe on Convoys upper abdomen wrong. I like the color of EVA-01 but on this bulky mode it doesn't look good.- 17164 replies

Here is a picture of the finished RG Strike freedom: I spray painted the frame parts while they where still on the runners. The only place where you can see the underlying plastic is on the lower end of the elbow right below the golden sticker. It is kinda sad that you don't see that much of the frame with all the armor parts on.

Or maybe the dudes in white armor aren't Stormtroopers but Republic soldiers. Nice catch. I hope Lego does a UCS set of this design.

So I caved in and preordered the VF-0D since it became available again at HLJ and is obviously not included in the Black Friday sale (bummer). figured if I buy figures from Arcadia they get funds to produce stuff I really want (like the VF-11C the VF-1J Miria from M7 and so on). In addition it gives me an excuse to buy the VF-0A/S with Ghost booster and a SV-51.

The YF-29 Alto Custom has the best paint scheme of all the Durandals I think. Too bad Bandai won't reissue it again. On the other hand so many stuff is being released so I'm glad I don't have to invest money into this toy. -
So I ordered the Riobot Jehuty by Sentinel during the sale. Maybe it was a bad decision because the item was already on sale for cheaper but I figured that since Sentinel announce the Annubis (which i will buy if it gets released) I need to have the Jehuty so the sale was the opportunity to get one. [edit:] No matter how lame this sale is it seems to work. I can't find any* Gunpla on HLJ that is in stock. *almost none and none I'm interested.

Isn't it odd that all the machines have a newer look but the Tie Fighters stayed the same? One explanation I came up would be that the Imperials now are rebels and fight against the republic so they don't have the means to invest in upgrades If this is true why have to Stormtroopers new armor?

So I finished the RG Strike Freedom (sans clear coat) and the stickers suck. Need RG with waterslide decals.

You can always learn how to do stuff by self education. My preferred form: youtube videos: Like this: (I really shouldn't go back to mini wargaming. Building Gunpla is just so much easier than painting squadrons of miniatures )

I will be finishing the panel lines on my RG Strike Freedom. So stickering is next. Does anyone know which of the two shoulder decals is the more right one? I assume it is the ET one since it is on the box art.

I agree with your statement. I just tried to read through all the new posts about exiting new Bandai products that where posted over the last days. Maybe I didn't express my thoughts clearly or missed something already mentioned in the thread.

I have the feeling that Bandai is trying to destroy Arcadia. The VF-19ADVANCE, the M&M VF-1 the GBP.... if Bandai announces a 1/72 Macross Zero toy line I will start to believe in my own conspiracy theories.
