  1. I had to dig up this thread because this Halloween costume is by far the best one:It's Pikachu dressed up as another monster who pretends it's Pikachu - splendid!
  2. That's a really good fit for the Cyclone rider!
  3. I bought the grandad Gundam from this line as well. With mine, the "helmet" was not glued on straight, so its head is slightly askew. It feels sturdy, but I concur the articulation is lacking. I'll just give to my boy when he's older or curious enough.
  4. PLUM's Gradius IV Vic Viper kit is now up for preorder. I love PLUM, their kits always cater to shooter game nerd in me.
  5. Is a rivet holding the bicep and arm together or a pin? I'd rather go for a part-swap than painting parts, so I say go for the all black arms if you can't separate the bicep from the forearm.
  6. +1 on Evila Star. I just wish it wasn't such a CHORE to transform. I'm hoping FT's Thomas will fare better.
  7. That is just awesome. Did the command car come with the kit?
  8. I was afraid that would happen. I noticed a couple of seams that are little too gappy despite how tight the screws were. Thanks for the tip, I'll have to do the same.
  9. I wonder how far Sentinel is going with this, because I really want an updated Talpa figure.
  10. I can't say most of these new toys tickle my fancy, but Cliffjumper and Wheeljack look rad.
  11. I went to my local Walgreens for chips and saw this. It's been ages since I've seen Gundam in a regular retail store.
  12. I still can't believe Bandai got into this, but here we are. Regardless, that figure looks good, definitely snagging one.
  13. It's quite a handsome valk, no doubt, but I'm already trying to complete the Hachette 2202 Yamato which is already a gonzo build in itself. I agree, for the overall total price this model will command, I do expect Super/Strike packs to be included, but maybe they'll be offered as an absurd exclusive subscription bonus. If the issues for the valk are gonna be anything like the Yamato run, then I expect the first issue to be like 300 yen, then 1800-2000 yen for next 100 or so issues. Hachette has excellent visual guides in their instructions and videos in their Youtube channel. All in Japanese of course, but they're all very clear in what they want you to do. Oh yeah, HLJ and their private warehouse has been great for me in collecting each issue.
  14. First mentioned on page 32 of this thread: http://www.hcj.jp/2202/home.html A few of us are attempting to see it to the end, but only a third of the run has been completed.
  15. Not off the top of my head, and mine are in cold storage for now. However, here is comparison video from back in the day: Keep in mind these were released prior to the 2199/2202 anime which spawned a newer Chogokin of the SBY and even a new 1/350 die cast beast.
  16. The original one? Yeah, the GX-57 would definitely fit the bill. And while its aesthetic may be different, the BPX-01 ain't too shabby either. But you may gotta have the full blown 1/350 Bandai kit, which is a spectacular piece when all gussied up.
  17. Ugh, that sucks. Y'know, I wonder exactly how many helpful tips I skim over by not being able to read the Japanese instructions. The pictures and instructional videos are all fine and dandy, but I can't help but feel I may be missing out on something.
  18. Yeah, I don't see any of the skinny missiles on those Tigers, so probably just the rear orange parts will need to be glued. Well, things were going swimmingly until I stopped at issue 21 due to my one and only teeny Phillips screwdriver getting worn out. I gotta order a better set, preferably one with a long reach and magnetized tips because I reckon there will be even more hard to reach parts spots to bury a screw in future issues. By the way, I wish I could test out the motors before mounting them and possibly enclosing them in a spot that would be a pain to get back to when the time comes to power the model up.
  19. I was hoping to hear this valk had improved a lot more than what I've heard so far, so no double dip from me. It's a shame, I like the SV-51 a lot.
  20. Unmasking is so satisfying to watch. The diorama is fantastic, and very nostalgic. Thanks for showing it off!
  21. No insurance on my toys. I love 'em and I have a sh!t tonne of them, but if it all ever goes up in smoke, it's a loss of luxury I can live with. I just cannot see myself spending more time trying to replace every single valk, Transformer, and anime figure/statue after such a disaster.
