    Well it's getting pricier as per the macross inflation index.. On the bright side we get removable boomerang drones and the pleasure of searching for them after accidentally dropping em.. On the front fuselage the landing gear bay doors are opening like they should and the nose gear looks as unattractive as any other dx... However the color scheme seems to be translating along nicely into the final dx version ..

    There isnt any fixed hands shown throughout the development blog's on the RA. I thk you would need to cross fingers for closed fingers... Back to the colored pic.... The top armor part also looks matt but the dark blue pieces look a lil glossy. On the bottom, that's nice BLUE color wouldnt you say? phew!

    I thk hase looked at how popular the fine molds version was and decided to have another go at it. Their 2 kit version in 2014 seems to be also sold out so probably they are riding on the demand. Wish fine molds would release their kit without need to buy the mag. That was a hassle although I understand the sales mechanics behind buying each copy... Will see if hase's kit is still calling to me when it's out...heh

    Am sure everyone here feels your pain. There isn't any residual glue left on the ball socket is there? That would be deja vu.... Hopefully you can loosen up the ball joint on the arm first before repairing, else you will be back to square one on torquing the metal joint. Maybe some sanding on the ball socket + a wash of future on the ball joint would loosen the arm part, whilst maintaining some tightness.. As for the main connection joint on the shoulder, yea that needs to be a metal on metal adhesive...

    Am glad she didn't carry floppy disks to backup, imagine the stack of boxes.. so passe...tot they at least would be on usb sticks tsk tsk... Channelling a lil apocalyspe now with the tropical look? Wouldnt it be nice to have troopers in camo too. I see your Death Star and raise you a Pokemon.

    In the early days of SDFM, I always tot it had to do with the size proportions of the internals of the alien shipwhen originally discovered by humans. Ie you needed something in scale to explore/operate the internals of the ship, which i imagined where driven by average sized zentradi. Hence battroid=zentradi size However that's just a hunch on my part, and am sure there is a much more detailed discussion on size somewhere here. That aside, it would be more for aesthetic reasons, so that its a david (with missiles. gunpod) v goliath (giant feet that can stomp you) situation.

    Yeah that's the default scaling diagram from what i have been reading on this thread. That being said, i do enjoy the smaller VF compared to HMR regult. Point being the VF being the size of an average zentradi, which would fit cramped into a regult. And especially a regult surrounded by multiple little VF's. Makes the zentradi battle pods seem more menancing somehow. Nice prisma pics everyone!

    I saw a listing on ebay but looks like they only have gold base color left. It would be nice if i could find a white or silver base at that price. Would you still have the link? On HLJ the 1/72 vf-31 is listed at 670 g but thats the whole box. So yea perhaps a 1/72 would do. Similarly a dx is listed around 800g above for the boxset, so will have to give it a go if i get a turntable...
