    They (HG) still own the "macross" name on various parts of The Americas and the UK. Can we honestly believe that they will relinquish the rights to distribute? I honestly think that whoever is managing the department just isn't up to the task to fully comprehend what needs to be done to make it successful. Seems that the same group of people keep trying to pass off bad ideas for another bad idea. So, shadow chronicle didn't do it for them, scratch that idea and sell them LLA. Oh, there's a fan doing a better job. Sue him for having better ideas than us. Wait, these young teens like school anime, let's make one of those too. Who cares if we don't have a plot, it's in a school with curvy females in sailor uniforms... That'll get pedophiles to buy into it just for panty shots. Keep it real HG... Get good ideas and designers and a marketing team that dies it's job and not guess.

    oy! all this kickstarter business is making me woozy. In their FAQ, they says this when asked: "Why should we support Harmony Gold when they sent cease & desist letters to the Valkyrie fan film? Because Creavision, the team behind the Project Valkyrie fan film, is working on Robotech Academy! We had to send them a C&D because of outside legal obligations, but we recognized their talent and are excited to have them involved." So, you mean to tell me that they already had a kickstarter idea planned out and instead of capitalizing on the free advertising and letting Creavision finish their 3rd part, they sent the C & D... All the while in their convention panels they deny doing it! bunch of backstabbing hypocrites the lot of them! I think that bringing Creavision into this project was an after thought and their ridiculous attempt to apologize. It's like the school bully taking your lunch money. You find a way to buy lunch and next thing you know, the bully comes, sits next to you and eats off your plate!

    Looking at all the stuff that happened leading to the KS (practically nothing new) I'm surprised that Creavision wouldn't do one just for kicks. Was the C&D letter just a made up excuse so that HG and Creavision could plan the pilot? It wouldn't surprise me if most of the CG work is complete.

    I've read the sentinels books, safe to say that a devil, anover grown teddy bear, and an amazonian flying on a metal pegasus aren't really robotech. Saving world's from the inside, feels like a cross of Homer's odyssey and Dante's infernal. Maybe it should be left alone.

    kickstarter was fun when people, working from their garage, build things that benefited everyone. 3D printers, laser cnc machines, oculus rift etc... Now, you get a real estate company (Isn't real estate booming right now?) asking for the fans for money for a pilot! They say they are giving the fans what they want. Ok, the fans want to see "The Sentinels" NOT a series based on a school where the cream of the crop will study. Really? How about a back story of Robotech, what caused Zor to betray the Masters, or How the Masters waged war throughout the galaxies. Something different. ok, ranting here. sorry. I love Robotech and the stories that make it, but, I hate the way HG has killed any and all possibility of new stuff and maybe even getting some of the original agreement revised to allow them to use the characters and mecha in new shows. I vote no to support, I'll find a bootleg version somewhere if it even comes out.

    You'll need some sort of mold release, I've used WD-40 or talcum powder. So yes, you would need to wash the parts after they cured. The resin is like plastic, but, you would need CA glue (crazy glue) to put it together. Other than that, prime and paint.

    His limitation is that he only has 4 complete bottom sections. So he would need at least 7 more pours for the entire set.

    Smooth-on is what I have used in the past. If I'm not mistaken, I think the awesome Captain America uses some of their products for his casts. As Exo has said, YouTube and Google searches have some videos on that.

    As a machinist, I have a deburring tool that breaks the edges of whatever I am working on. There is one for plastic, copper/brass, aluminum, steel, so forth and so on. I can send you one for aluminum if you want. Just pm me your address. It is the size of a ball point pen. I have a few extras that I get for free, so free of charge. At 25 microns, it would be very good for small details. Considering that a speck of dust is usually 25 microns. Now, not sure if we are talking about the same thing here, but that's how I was explained a micron some time ago.

    I agree. People can be ungrateful after they get what they need. For crying out loud,maybe there should be a "babysitter" area where chikdren can whine and complain. Either way, put put me down for another kit John. That makes 2 total for me.
