  1. got my request yesterday, huzzah!
  2. do an homage to the CAT logo, but spell it NEKO instead...
  3. VF-4 SV-51 VF-19 F/S YF-19 VF-22S VF-1 VF-0 C/D YF-21 VF-11 VF-25 ... If you held a gun to my head those would be the 10... the order would shift on the day though.
  4. Oh! thanks for setting that straight *jealous glare*
  5. If it doesn't come with ghosts, then I have enough vf-25's to mix-and-match everyone a superpack... if it DOES come with ghosts
  6. Retcon: ELINT-Buoy dispenser?
  7. CA? for clear parts? you're not using canopy glue or Micro Krystal Klear? I love Krystal Klear, such useful stuff!
  8. depends... are we casting for looks? or who can play a lovable egotist-prick?
  9. practice practice practice... eventually you'll figure out the perfect amount of pressure so that you can trim the foil, but not mar the plastic... I suggest practicing on a bit of scrap styrene first! I ruined a few canopies before I got the hang of it, but now... I almost default to using foil instead of Tamiya tape for masking complex clear bits.
  10. It's won me over... gotta have it. we'll have to wait and see how the wave kit assembles to know how easy that mod would be. is it just me or are the dimensions of the entire engine pod different on it? 1 Growler/Weasel, and 3 for the F-4 phantom schemes on my list... but I'll take a dish option too. That's the most 80's hair-do I've ever seen on an airframe since the Tracker grew a Mullet!
  11. I'm diggin' the second seat and extended fuselage/tails... but that dish and where/how it connects aren't doing it for me... ...the more I look at it the more it's growing on me... I think Tom Paris from ST Voyager would give her his seal of approval though think it can transform? because of where the dish connects to the engine pods [if I'm interpreting the image correctly] it looks like it attaches to what become the fore-arms in Battroid/Gerwalk maybe it's a full-on purpose built AEW airframe?
  12. ... you'll have to scratch one yourself I think
  13. The Hasegawa kits are great, but REQUIRE glue and paint. The Bandai kits [i can only really compare the VF-25 series, I don't own any Bandai VF-1s] are simple, and look decent [and can look stellar a little extra effort] But comparing the two, Hasegawas are cheaper, and since I'm really only interested in the fighter-mode for most of my builds, I prefer them. I started as an aircraft modeler, and Macross designs are some of the sexiest aircraft ever, even taking into account the "I'm also a humanoid mecha" concessions in their design. there is nothing super wrong with the Bandai kits [some have complained about their decals/stickers (haven't tried those yet, so no judgment), transformations and longevity, but since mine are all going to stay/get glued in fighter mode, not an issue for me], but in the fighter-mode for the increased cost I'm not willing to put up with some of the gaps that happen because of the transformation capability. It really is a case of knowing what are you looking for in your build, and what you're willing to pay/do/put up with to get it... but objectively they're all good kits, and from what I've seen of their VF-31 series, Bandai is getting better at a prodigious pace.
  14. Good news everyone! Platz is re-releasing their 1/72 Resin Yukikaze kits!!
  15. yes, the Andrew Mynarski(VC) Memorial Lancaster lives at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton. I've been, it's an outstanding museum. and the Lanc is beautiful. I was lucky enough to go on a day when they were running her engines... 4 RR-Merlins at once... a gorgeous symphony of power!
  16. in Macross Zero, Shin was rocking 6 AMRAAMs and a pair of sidewinders, wasn't he? that's a cool pic, I've never seen a tomcat with that 4 and 4 combo.
  17. SWEET! much love/props for those packs... I may try to scratch a set for the Wave 1/72 when it comes out. I had never seen the Battroid pic... the VF-4 Battroid has just never done it for me... But it looks much better in Battroid with your packs on!
  18. I have a bet going with a friend of mine that the vast majority of the team doesn't make it, or they all buy it but manage to get the data out somehow... He thinks that Disney would never allow the killing of a female lead... he may have a point... but none-the-less I took him up on it. the cost of admission and snacks to EpisodeVIII is on the line...
  19. I think I'll paint a Giant UN Spacey kite on the wall, like 4' diameter or so, and mount this in the center... and I'll put my smaller-scale collection in display cabinets around it now the questions become: 1-Do I buy more than one? and 2-How do I want to paint it/them? .........this is one of the best first-world problems ever!!
  20. and ask the 'Ace Combat' team about that while you're at it...
