  1. Yeah I totally forgot about Westworld somehow, even though I watched every episode the second it aired and I went out of my way to ensure I'd be home every Sunday night to watch the newest episode. Brilliant stuff, really expanded on what the original film only got to touch on, great performances, and I love that by the end of the season everything made sense, nothing ambiguous, and nothing drug on. The finale? It didn't look like anything to me...
  2. VIKINGS! It's amazing! Is anyone else watching this? The last episode was phenomenal, there are some brilliant performances on this show. Yes at first the hook was high-budgeted Viking violence, but then it turned out to have a great script, excellent actors, and amazing performances! If a show can have a gripping scene involving two men simply having a chat and arguing about the Gods while drunk, you know it's really good stuff.
  3. Yeah as Dobber already pointed out, Saw hasn't appeared on Rebels YET, he will appear when the new season starts back up though, since Rebels is still before Rogue One. Saw appeared in the final season of Clone Wars, in a really excellent four episode story arc.
  4. FansToys Skyfire/Jetfire isn't out yet, he's been on pre-order for months though. The crappy one currently out is by Mechaform, it is called Sky Guardian, it is not just bad, but apparently hot garbage that isn't worth anywhere near it's asking price. edit: Also wanted to add, after even more flip flopping, I got an Ocular Max/MMC Terraegis delivered two day right before Christmas Eve and he's pretty damn amazing. I got the Badcube version a while back and I was stoked with him at first, I even kept updating this thread with all the bad news about Terraegis, but I've gotta say, I think I like Terraegis far more then Speedbump. Speedbump looks excellent in both modes, but getting him there sucks more than gay Dracula. Also, his cannons are stupid, his leg paint was a bit scratched out of the box, and he has really, really dumb hands. Terraegis may not have the completely accurate alt mode or silver paint, but I think overall he's easier to handle, he has the better proportioned and accurate bot mode, and he does Trailbreaker's accessories right. I honestly can't recommend him enough, he's beautiful, and if you are into the G1 toy thing he's a better choice then Speedbump, he comes with that super ugly G1 toy head, but once again, if that's your thing there you go. I also got the Liger/G1 toy head for Spinhx/Mirage as well, no use in that, might see if someone wants it for their Sphinx. I'm on the fence about Hoist, I REALLY don't want to deal with another awful Badcube transformation, I never handled their Warpath but I think Speedbump is far worse and more fiddly then Sunsurge. Artifex by MMC looks good, and I now love this mold. I'll probably go with Artifex, he looks good, he's shorter then Trailbreaker like he should be, less under-car kibble then the Badcube version, and that neat little collapsing hood mechanic should give him a more beefy appearance then my Terraegis.
  5. More woes and dread for MMC Ocular Max Terraegis/Trailbreaker. More people are getting the final product in hand and reviews are mixed to say the least, with a number of people reporting awful quality plastic and multiple breaks already. Paper thin plastic for the side mirrors, the replacement mirrors are the same thing so no help there, no rubber set of mirrors or anything else. Swivel panel in the legs is thin and feels cheap, stress marks after one transformation. And unfortunately, many are reporting very noticeable two tones of black throughout their figures. I was tempted to grab one yesterday since BBTS got their stock in, I've already got Speedbump and he is sexy as all hell, but this guy looked good too! Now though, absolutely no way, this is pretty piss poor quality for the price point. The odd paint was a turn off enough, but now this is sounding like a delicate mess. Very unfortunate, I absolutely LOVE my Sphinx, easily one of the nicest third party figures I've ever handled, I've always considered it what third party is truly capable of, and a spot where third party outshines TT, I really don't think they could make an MP Mirage that would rival Sphinx in any way. I know a lot of people were turned off by Backdraft, I love mine and I think he's fine, but after this MMC/Ocular Max really needs to step it up, they're turning fans off left and right. I'm still wanting to see more in hand reviews of the final product, but this is a pretty bad sign, early reviews like this are make it or break it for a lot of people, especially when there's multiple options available.
  6. This is the only question that matters, metallic paint is nasty looking sure, but if it doesn't actually transform I can just make this an easy pass now without needing more pics or info.
  7. Nice. Mine won't be on the way until my three ANIME RGM-79s drop at AmiAmi as well, I'm really looking forward to them. Also, what's up with HLJs listing for Figuarts Chewie? It says December release, that's not right is it? It's been listed at that for quite a while too.
  8. I'd say a definite yes, Gundam Wing first aired on Toonami and was most US viewer's first foray into the world of Gundam. Why Heero and Relena with all that nasty Seed mecha? Where's the Wing mecha?
  9. See now I've read that while Peaugh apparently did get to handle one, he didn't have instructions and it was brief. I also read nobody from MT was standing by to give him direction or instructions. Either way for me he's bought on site, the back end looking a bit off isn't enough of a deterrent for me, this IS Jazz.
  10. From what I've read on TFW2005, that is indeed mis-transformed. Oh boy! This is DEFINITELY my Jazz, ordered on site, no need to even make an attempt Takara.
  11. Why/how did Optimus leave Earth? In the last one wasn't he just standing there monologuing to himself in front of a sunset (just like the end of every TF film) with the Dinobots standing by him? Are the Dinobots still a thing? Wouldn't they be like, the most powerful Autobots to call on when you need help? Shouldn't they always call on them? Is Galvatron Megatron again? Did he only get labeled that by humans in the last film? Will Megatron, or Galvatron or whatever, and other Cons still do that floating pixel transformation thing from the last film? Why can't Bumblebee talk? Will he not make a peep other then stupid kiddy and radio noises in his supposed solo film? I know, far too many questions, and probably few answers if any for any of them, but still. I have such a hard time remembering what happened in what films, the sequels all blend together, and they've re-designed most of the bots several times over that it makes it really hard to grasp what events happened in what film. Was Chicago the second one? Was Hong Kong the last one? Which one had Devestator and his big balls that he had despite none of the vehicles that combine into him having any wrecking balls on them? Yes, they made a point to bring up Romeo and Juliet laws or something idiotic, it had zero plot relevance and yes, pretty much explained why a 16 or 17 year old girl can get plowed by a 20 year old dude with zero legal consequences.
  12. This movie was brilliant itself, it REALLY doesn't need a half assed, half hearted US remake. The same thing happened with the really good Spanish zombie movie Rec, it was remade in the US as Quarantine and it was completely pointless, literally the same exact situation here, I don't even need to see the US version. The Korean original is perfect as is, adding white people and native English won't enhance anything, especially if it's just a crappy near shot for shot remake like the Rec remake, I mean there's absolutely no way the US version could add anything to the original, or improve upon it. I thanked everyone of relevance when the US Raid remake got murdered, once again, the original is perfect, Hollywood makes enough garbage, we get it they're out of ideas, but this is getting absurd, remakes of less then two year old foreign films? I hope this tanks on what I will assume will be a small budget.
  13. I got my Badcube Speedbump/Trailerbreaker in a few days ago, gorgeous figure, the paint apps are phenomenal, but the transformation is complete ass. I was sort of eye balling the MMC version before my Badcube version arrived, it definitely has some sweet spots on it, and it does some things right that I feel Badcube flubbed on, but then I saw these shots of the god awful horribly mis-matched paint, and that is a immediate deal breaker. That is painfully bad, and I feel this is totally unacceptable for one of the big guys like Ocular Max/MMC. This is glaringly obvious, and I'm baffled this is what they were comfortable with sending out. Depending on your collecting tastes this may not bother you, apparently it isn't noticeable at all in bot mode, but that is a sexy alt mode, and that paint absolutely ruins it. If alt mode isn't a concern for you I think the bot mode still looks fantastic, but that is just too bad for me to even consider, shame on them, they should have done much better then this, especially at the current price point.
  14. I got another package in, two more third party MP Transformers and Figuarts Raph. I'm 4 out of 5 on FansToys Dinos, Grinder WILL be mine, and with him as my Grimlock I will have MP Dino completion. Scoria is great, especially this newest re-issue from FT. I know they have Cesium on the way, which is basically an updated Scoria, but I think this guy does just fine. He's very tight, no paint issues, he's pretty damn beautiful. I couldn't settle for the official MP Inferno, he just doesn't do it for me, the official MP line in general is gradually losing my interest with each new release. I got Backdraft for $70 on Black Friday, killer deal, I would've paid his $100 retail but a sale works fine too! Raph is great, all the Figuarts Turtles are great really, now I'm just wondering when Mikey will drop so I can finish the team.
  15. Doctor Strange will be web exclusive, NY and other sites like it only. Doesn't bother me, he's a must have, he looks amazing. Plus Hawkeye is still looking really good, mine has been paid off for quite a while now. I'm a little baffled next year will be when we can FINALLY finish our Ultron Avengers Figuarts team, better late then never I guess. Plus apparently the MK I armor is happening. And MK II. I mean I guess these two aren't guaranteed, but Tony armor's sell, and Bandai really seems to like making them. I guess I should have just did this in one post, oh well. Bought for both, they look good. V2 Death Trooper I guess? Old Obi-Wan is still looking good, but where the hell is my Leia? Looks good, but where's my Rey?
  16. It's solid in my opinion, not as memorable as some from the past, but it holds it's own most of the time. The cut scenes are really well done and the score usually picks up and gets good when it needs to, the giant insane set pieces have some beautiful music flowing through them that really adds to the scene, like I said, solid in my opinion. Funny enough you can buy a music player and CDs that contain classic FF themes and music on them, then you can listen to them anytime. I was rolling down the road listening to the original FFVII and FFIV themes, good stuff.
  17. FYI for those that heard about Japanese players beating FFXV in 15 hours, they ONLY did the main story quests, and they skipped ALL of the cut scenes. That's not how most people will play the game. Also, most of the people that finished early finished with their level in the thirties, that's barely scratching the surface for what's out there. I managed to put in about 5 hours last night, I'm feeling it today but the game is phenomenal, this coming from someone who hasn't played a FF since 8. The story is quite meh, I haven't seen any of the extended stuff like the short anime series or the expensive CG movie, but going off what I've played the story takes a gigantic back seat in the first half of the game, aka the most interesting part in my opinion, the open world. I'm sure the story will take full front later as it gets toward the more linear section, but for now it's just a lot of fun open world questing and fighting. Beautiful game, plays well, runs decent on my X1, frame rate dips on occasion when crazy stuff or something massive is on screen. The dungeons are absolutely a blast, I kept reading about some amazing dungeon in the end game that can only be accessed by the airship, level 90 or above recommended, I can't wait to check that out!
  18. There are no large Figuarts figures that have a "regular" or "normal" frame or body on them, the only large Figuarts out there have their own unique bodies and pieces, like Broly, and Asuraman from the Kinnikuman line.
  19. Beautiful trailer, had a Stranger Things vibe going for it at the beginning, which I like. I can't wait to play some when I get home, reviews are very solid so far.

    Hi-Metal R

I finally got these two in, they've been sitting waiting in a big Pile of Loot at HLJ.
  21. Came home to this. The FedEx shipping option at HLJ is stupid fast, shipped out 11/24/16, received it today. This is easily the fastest, most reliable shipping service from them to the US, and it's even cheaper then EMS, it's a beautiful thing. A box this big has to have some serious goodies in it right? Damn I must've been good, and another two packages still on the way for me? Everything is looking good, but it's a bit too compacted in there. Yup, lots of goodies. I've been waiting a LONG time on some of this stuff, waiting for more and more to release so I could just get one big package. Unfortunately I had to ship this stuff, my tridents were at one more day before they auto-shipped, if I could have lasted another two days I could've added MonsterArts Shin Godzilla and Figuarts EP II Obi-Wan. I can't check out everything tonight unfortunately, but now I've got like 3 nights of messing with new stuff ahead of me, oh boy!
  22. Chosen Prime has a video review up for MP-33 Inferno. Still looks super meh to me, glad I passed, not my cup of tea, snagged MMC Backdraft for $70 on black Friday. Credit where credit is due though, that transformation is beautiful. Takara's engineering still seems top notch, but the aesthetic they are moving towards just isn't cutting it for me. Shame too, Takara's transformation and clean ladder in chest bit on MMC Backdraft would be a pretty perfect MP Inferno in my opinion. edit: Optibotimus review of MP-33 is up too.
  23. Sequel. John Boyega is playing the son of Stacker Pentecost from the first movie, that was Idris Elba's character.
