Speak of the devil, a new trailer for the big three episode series finale.
-
Ah I see. I believe it was explained that Jedi and Sith knew of the Temple, they just didn't know how to access it's true power, or they didn't know how to access the inner chamber. Ezra's connection with Dume and the Loth Wolves was more or less the key everyone was missing, Palpatine clearly knew there was something there he just didn't know how to access it at first. I chalked it up to that, the Temple was known, but not the inner power itself, or how to even access the power and the true "inner" chamber of the Temple.
-
Ah I see, makes sense, you never know. I have confidence this movie will handle all the internet stuff much better, and it will probably be a whole lot funnier too.
-
Not that I'm trying to call you out or anything, but care to elaborate on this? I don't get what comes off as idiotic, the temple most Jedi and Sith weren't aware of or the Place Between Worlds most Jedi and Sith weren't aware of?

Did you not see the first film? It's not even remotely close to the Emoji movie, the first film was actually incredibly touching and well done. I'm excited, I LOVED the first film to death, watched it over and over myself! The only question I have is, where is Fix-it-Felix?

Also, looking at some of my more recent Marvel Star Wars comics, and some of the non-sense from TLJ, the implications of the Mordis Gods is by far one of the most important revelations in Star Wars history. These last episodes also gave us a more interesting look into a side of the force we haven't really seen, a physical place that actually binds all space and time together, Yoda and other Jedi have always mentioned how the Force binds and holds everything together, The Daughter, Son, and Father and the Jedi Temple have shown us how fairly literal all of that really is. Also, it was pretty obvious to me Ahsoka's bird follower was actually The Daughter, she clearly survived to a small capacity from what The Son attempted.

LOVED these last two episodes, fantastic stuff. Color me impressed for not cheaping out and just giving us X-Wings and other relatable garbage we've seen for the past 40 years and in every other known form of Star Wars media, THIS episode is something the show needed, not more of the same/easily consumable fan service. What we saw was some real, tangible game changing stuff for the force and force users, I'd take that any day over more CG X-Wings and Ties. Most importantly, we got a LOT of answers for a lot of different hang ups, storylines, and even more insight into the actual ancient Jedi/Sith order. It's always bothered me with this series when people complain when it actually gets unique and interesting and instead just clamor for more OT stuff since it takes place in the PT - OT timeline. Personally, if I wanted X-Wings, Ties, and Star Destroyers I would watch the OT, or Rogue One. Rebels is actually interesting, and despite being set in the most loved era in the Star Wars timeline, they definitely could have went the boring fan-service route, they didn't and I love this show for it. There are three episodes left, there will be plenty of boring shooty shooty explode stuff in that time I'm sure, actually finishing the Loth-Wolf storyline with a look into a new side of the force that has never seen was awesome!

This is my fear as well. My love for MP-10 shouldn't come as a "he's perfect", he absolutely can be improved upon in several ways, all already mentioned, articulation, mold improvements on his legs, better looking rear end/feet in alt mode, paint the frakkING eyes Takara! Hasbro did! Aesthetically though, my fear is we will get those things, but then bland toon styling, no rivets, details, just plain areas covered in paint. The real question I have is, if this isn't just a rumor and is a real thing, will he just be a half-ass + repaint or would it actually be a new mold? That's what hasn't been answered yet among these rumors. The scan everyone is wigging out about shows some clearly different molding and proportions then MP-10, but that rumored image isn't concrete. I'd love the same styling and detail of MP-10 but with some new fancy Takara engineering making him as poseable as Sunny or MP-36, but if Takara were to do a V3 Prime I am 100% confident they will style it to go with MP-36, bland, and toon accurate.- 17114 replies

Unfortunately agreed, the new trilogy isn't really doing anything for me, but Rebels? This show is the business. Like Clone Wars, a little rocky at first, but it grew into something truly special, and it seems like it's ready to end on a high note.

I think Klau and Ross made for better villains then Killmonger :(. Killmonger was fine until I'd say roughly the half way point, when it becomes clear he's using his people and their suffering to further his agenda, and achieve his vengeance/revenge. Also, while he claimed he wanted to end all of the dictators and monsters, let's be real, he actually just wanted his turn at the wheel. Klau and Ross were pretty awesome, and Andy is ALWAYS a delight in every role he is in, that guy seems to have the most fun playing parts.- 74 replies

Saw that earlier, rumored, but probably true do to the line going all out toon accuracy and nothing else, MP-10 looks awful next to MP-36, the shift in the line aesthetic is blatantly obvious in my opinion. MP-36 being the more ugly figure, MP-10 still being a perfectly fine, pretty much ideal MP Optimus. Once again, cool for those that want toon accuracy, but that's not what I wanted or liked about the MP line after the re-launch with MP-10, it's not how the majority of the line looks, and it's absolutely NOT what I am looking for in expensive MP figures. I personally see the awesome engineering as going to waste when the beginning and end result is as bland as the crappy old 80s cartoon, seems incredibly counter-intuitive, putting more engineering and money into continuously worse looking figures. All my opinion, clearly the toon look is what a lot of people want, and since Takara only polls and cares about Japanese fan's opinions, clearly it is what they want too. With this, I'm probably done with official Takara MPs, more toon accuracy is not what I want, and clearly that is where the line is heading. I can care less about Bay/Movie stuff, so I have zero interest in MPM, that said, I am still absolutely on board for everything and anything Beast Wars MP related, third party has barely touched that so Takara looks to be my only bastion there, which is fine, I feel their MP Beast Wars releases have been fantastic, G1 not so much.- 17114 replies

Looks good! I actually cancelled mine at BBTS, I officially decided to bow out on these Chogokin Jaegers, I already have the monster 18" NECA releases, I don't feel like double dipping on the same mecha in another, more expensive line.

Loved the two new episodes, I think Jedi Knight might be one of the best Rebels episodes ever in my opinion. Very ballsy for a kids show, but unfortunately we all knew it was coming eventually, still a gut punch, then it cuts to the Rebels logo and ashes... Also, I REALLY love that they kind of tried to downplay Krennic and his "stardust", and instead remind people of the importance of the Tie Defender project. We all know how powerful the Death Star is, blow up a planet yada yada yada, but could you imagine what the Imperial Fleet would do with mass produced Tie Defenders? I feel that could have crippled the Rebellion LONG before the Death Star. Tie Defenders would effectively nullify the one small advantage the Rebels have in space combat, their fighters. I am loving what they have done with Thrawn, he's fantastic.

Got a package in from BBTS last Friday, I've been miserable and sick for about a week now so I never bothered opening it. First thing I dove in to was Deathstroke the Terminator, and I am VERY impressed, since Superman or even Red Arrow Mezco seems to have gotten the message about the importance of ankle tilt, this guy is fantastic! The sculpt is pretty beautiful in my opinion, a mix of some of the more modern "armored" looks, the paint apps are very clean as usual, I love the unmasked Slade head. The DBZ guys are great, I said I wouldn't bother with the B team but here we are, Bandai just needs to announce a new or special color Krillin and I will be happy. -
Black Panther, now available on home video

Those films were few and far between, Blade, Spawn, Steel with Shaq I guess. Also, they were old, and they weren't in this modern day of super budget super hero movies, Black Panther is a massive film, and, expectedly, a massive success. I've really not gotten the concept of "People won't watch black or any POC lead films", I mean, black people exist, they are a thing, why wouldn't they want to see themselves represented on film instead of another glorious white hero? From a business stand point, the film WILL make absurd amounts of money, and it WILL receive numerous accolades, Marvel was stupid not to make this years ago. From a PR perspective, Marvel has had the rights to Black Panther as long as Cap, Iron Man, Thor, etc., they were stupid not to make this years ago. Clearly people want more diverse films, and more diverse casts in films, but the LEADS are the most important part, there have been plenty of side kicks and background characters, but people want to see themselves as the hero, more then white folks exist so the market has ALWAYS been there. Once again, it looks kind of bad that it took Marvel this long, they could've introduced Wakanda and everyone in it years ago and extended or completely changed storylines for several different MCU projects, Agents of Shield, Luke Cage, and with that, possibly brought in more fans and in turn, more money. Clearly they are getting the message now, I'm confident Black Panther WILL lead the Avengers whenever Chris Evans bows out as Cap, it's just always baffled me as to why it took this long.- 74 replies

I saw it last night and it was pretty damn good! Great cast, crazy effects, Wakanda was nuts. Killmonger was pretty awesome, my main complaint was as we'd already seen in the trailers, he's basically just in an evil Black Panther suit at the end, so hard to tell apart from the real Black Panther they had to do a little MK style palette swap action so you could tell them apart. It will be interesting to see how the MCU plays out now with what happened at the end, lots of neat set ups for the future too, Shuri is frakking awesome! Really disliked the sound track though, not a fan of rap or hip hop, new or modern. Feel fine posting that here, got called a racist for posting the same thing on other sites, people are having a hard time handling any kind of criticism towards this film. Loved the movie itself though, All Hail The King!- 74 replies

Basically what kanedaestes said, all of the + repaints are more "toon" accurate in their coloring. No new re-tooling or molding, just a repaint that is closer to the animation models, the original MPs were more real world detailed, or Hasui style, everything Takara does now is as toon accurate as possible.- 17114 replies

Good lord, nothing is sacred any more! I stand corrected, KOs do exist, apparently piece meal though and not in a set of any kind. Also, I'd guess the price difference will be very apparent, I doubt anyone but the scummiest Ebay sellers would try to pass individual KOs off at the officials now insane price.

Looks like MP-17+ Prowl is a thing officially. http://hobby.dengeki.com/news/521323/ Blatantly easy pass, that looks just terribly awful. At this rate they will be re-releasing every previously released carbot in a cartoon accurate + repaint, how boring. Great for those that want to re-buy everything for the sake of slightly more toon accuracy I guess.- 17114 replies

I'm sooooo getting that, I'm a whore for the Falcon and Lego, so yeah, they got me on this one too.

I'm sure some know far better then me, but I can't think of a single modern Chogokin that has ever had a KO, and I haven't heard anything about there even being a KO of this in existence. You're fine.

Yup, still insanely hyped, I can't wait. Oh my gosh the Jaegers are faster and more agile!? Well, technology advanced, so yeah, makes sense. For how much Del Toro said Evangelion inspired the first film, I see FAR more Eva in this sequel then the first. The first was far more slow and mechanical, like Robot Jox with kaiju. Can't hate on either take myself, giant robots v kaiju is good stuff no matter how you slice it. Didn't bother even starting the video, but the movie isn't out yet, so are these guys or gals just bitching and moaning based on the trailers and calling it trash already? It's fine if so, different strokes and all that, but it makes the video sound totally pointless, standard fair cynical Youtube get the clicks garbage.

And no leaked set photos? I'm still taking this with a grain of salt, I have no idea how this wasn't more widely reported if true, I browse literally dozens of gaming and comic sites and never saw this reported once. Peter makes an appearance, no Spidey, not sure what that means or to what capacity. Still sounds like a crap show from the beginning, the whole is this in the MCU or not, and will there be Spidey or Holland or not? The concept of a semi shared universe is dumb. Either way, I'll believe it when I see it, I have zero confidence in any of this. Marvel has been completely tight-lipped about this movie, despite what reports said that Sony can use Holland, I have a hard time believing Marvel would be okay with confusing audiences with Sony's non-sensical only Spidey but not entirely MCU universe.
-
This is probably why I'll end up seeing it, I like Hardy and his work, even if the accent he came up with for this film is, unique to say the least. Spidey, let alone Holland hasn't been confirmed, best I could find was that maybe at some point in the future he possibly could be in Silver and Black, or a Venom sequel, but it's all hypotheticals and maybes based on how this film does.
-
I read exactly the opposite from multiple sources quite a while ago, I believe Sony confirmed not only no MCU connections, but no Spidey, let alone no Holland Spidey. I've read nothing to let me know otherwise, let alone that Holland was confirmed for this. That was the drag from the beginning, Sony basically announced this as a random, stand alone, not connected to anything Venom film. It was also never confirmed Holland would be a part of the stand alone Sony Spiderverse films, if any even happen after this.
