  1. Anyone else buying in on the new Badcube lambos? I was in for Red Alert the moment I saw him, massive upgrade from official Takara MP, but I was on the fence with Sideswipe. Now? I am honestly in for both. I, begrudgingly, made official MP Sunstreaker my main SS, I love Sunsurge but the official just ticked a few more boxes. And official Sideswipe looks utterly ridiculous next to MP Sunny, so I am all in for both Badcube lambos. Red Alert is miles ahead of the official, and while I'm not too hot on the face, that smaller chest and the proportions on Badcube Sideswipe have won me over, I need both.
  2. It's definitely still a G1 dry spell, just repaints no new G1 releases :(. Baffled it took this long for toy Shockwave, also baffled to see both him and MP-36+ are TT mall exclusives, their prices will be nuts on most sites, MP Shockwave is too expensive as is IMO.
  3. I'd take the monster personally, most immediate, less frakkery. The creature will just maul you alive, but every other way is far more drug out, and would seem far more horrifying.
  4. Not too sure how to feel about this. Predator was an already OP alien, that was the point, they hunted more worthless species, like humans, for sport. Now they are upgrading even more and hybridizing themselves? Okay I guess? This is my problem with a lot of these franchises, they all feel like they have to continuously step their game up, and upgrade their monster. This movie would be fine if it were one OG Predator like in the original Arnold film. Plenty powerful enough, plenty of gadgets, plenty enough challenge for humans using modern weapons and tech. If they want to upgrade and change these stupid Predators so much move these movies into the god damn future so they can finally square off against Colonial Marines in live action, then the Predator would have something to worry about.
  5. Pics of painted Cordon. Also, it appears Takara hasn't forgotten the G1 toy crowd, MP29+ and MP36+. Both releases were already toon accurate at release, these ones are G1 toy accurate, the dark purple Shockwave many longed for, and a silver Megatron with the toy head, chest, and red legs. No new G1 release though :(. Masterpiece Beast Wars Megatron was absolutely not expected, but definitely welcomed, that thing looks incredible! Plus, he's frakking huge! That price will be nuts! Dinobot was scaring folks, Megatron's price will be sure to cause some discussion, I'm in.
  6. This also leads me to believe Takara may be taking it's last big gasp before ending the MP line, they're pumping out as many re-releases as possible, and they are doing easy retools and repaints, Shadow Panther, + releases, MP-42 is Cordon not a new mold or character. Those + figures really are for the hard core collector that is willing to buy a figure twice for slightly more cartoon accuracy, I personally think they look quite ridiculous, especially Prowl +. I see some folks are getting hyped about another MP Hound rumor, like the one from two years ago, and a year ago, and six months ago...
  7. Boy I hate to acknowledge the nonsense on TFW2005, but I can't help but think something is up with the official MP line. MP-42 was just announced, and it's the police Sunstreaker repaint Cordon, which was expected, but it was also expected he might just be MP-39C or something, but no Takara is making him MP-42. They've done this before, made a repaint a whole numbered release, but damn if it didn't suck then, and now. Honestly, we haven't gotten even a new tease or announcement for the next G1 figure, it's been quite some time too. People are wigging out, claiming the line is dead. While I don't think it's dead, I do think this is a sign the MP releases will be even fewer and farther between then ever before. I've read the rumblings, Takara isn't doing that hot financially, but the MP line is usually a guaranteed money maker, even with the rising prices. I'm not sure what to think, it's just been month after month with no new announcement, Dinobot is almost here, and nothing to look forward to after. I hate to doom and gloom, but this has been the longest we've gone without something new announced, I'm wondering if G1 is being pushed to the back burner to focus on Beast Wars and Bayverse MPM.
  8. Yeah Bandai REALLY nailed Black, fantastic figure. I see his price sky rocketing too, if you're interested, grab one now while you can, I'd hate to see his price in a month's time when he's sold out everywhere, BBTS doesn't even have him in stock.
  9. Glad someone posted this, I am a MASSIVE Arrested Development fan, I maintain that it is in fact, one of the best comedies ever put on television, almost too perfect to be real. This season looks frakking hilarious, I can't wait. Season 4 was, rough to say the least, but has anyone else watched the remixed season 4? I can safely say it is VASTLY superior to the original season 4, the original season 4 was a drag, episodes were too long, too focused on one character due to how they had to film the thing, it wasn't very funny and I found it really hard to get through a whole episode in one sitting, these characters play best when bounced off each other, most of them can't drive whole, long episodes themselves. The remixed season is much, much better, it's the same footage yes, but it's all been edited together so everything jumps from character to character like earlier seasons, plus shorter 22 minute episodes, and tons of new dialogue and narration by Opie Taylor, I mean Ron Howard... I'd highly recommend remixed season 4 now, the original was banished to the trailer section on Netflix because how inferior it is. I actually binged the whole new season 4 this weekend with ease, one episode after another. With the original season 4 I found myself taking multiple weeks to get through certain episodes.
  10. Wait the Switch couldn't back up saves all this time since release? Jesus Nintendo...
  11. That does look handsome! I have to decide if I want one or not in the next week or so, my buddy Rex is insane and grabbed three but only wants two, he said he'd sell me one for just the retail price, no shipping for me! edit: Liked your photos too! Forgot we could do that.
  12. Have you opened one yet? Do they even seem like they are worth it? They looked wholly unimpressive in promo shots, especially considering what Arcadia is charging for these things.
  13. Lol I'll be that guy. -Terminus was sold in one box barely a month after release, most shops only carry the A & B set now. -Proportions are completely subjective, Omega looked like both Gabe and Terminus in the cartoon due to how old and piss poor it was drawn, proper proportions will vary from person to person. -TG Does seem to have balance issues for some, mine seems fine and isn't anywhere near as bad as some I've seen online. On the opposite end many are reporting getting their DX9 Gabe in covered in water, some are even reporting mold, and some are reporting paint issues and chips. -DX9 Gabe is actually slightly heavier then TG, Benscollectibles showed this off and had a very good comparison. Either way both are an expensive gamble, either can have issues. I personally don't like the newer MP figures that are super toon accurate, I passed on several myself, I prefer the older MPs like the Datsuns and Lambos that have more detail, and are more toon and toy blend. Gabe is what Takara would make, straight out of the toon to a fault in my opinion, TG has more detail and in my opinion a far superior base mode, which is oddly important to me, he also could wobble on you. Like most Transformers, mileage will vary from person to person.
  14. No packages in quite some time, and then as usual I get multiple packages in at once, plus a few more ill-advised, spontaneous Lego purchases. V2 Figuarts Vader is by far superior to the original, taller, better sculpt, and a fabric cape. While not UCS, I REALLY like the Lando Falcon all built up, it's got more gaps in the opening panels than the Force Awakens Falcon we got just a few years ago, but I really like the colors, and Lego young Lando is awesome. I fraked my back up last weekend hanging with some friends, stayed in Saturday, Sunday, stayed home from work Monday, and watched Adam West Batman, film included. Had to get this set, retiring soon, West himself passed away, not worth original retail I would agree, but I nabbed it for $140 cash brand new in town off Craigslist, didn't get stabbed.
  15. Definitely top 5, and I'd guess that for everyone that will go see it, the movie had pretty much everything and somehow lived up to all the hype.
  16. I grabbed a Hulkbuster 2.0 yesterday after I gave everyone the heads up that it was on NY, zero chance I was passing on that beast, I love the first version. Also, more Infinity Wars news! Looks like they waited for the films release to finally reveal that, yes indeed, Figuarts Iron Spidey WILL come with the extra arms making him a proper Iron Spidey, because even though everyone and their brother knew Peter would have them in the movie, they didn't want to spoil the look too much. Also, a new Hulk, looks MUCH better then the original Age of Ultron version. Happy I nabbed a PO on Spidey, now that everyone knows he comes with the legs I'm guessing more folks will try to snatch him up, also definitely in for the new and improved Hulk, that head sculpt looks much better.
  17. MakeToys just announced on Twitter that their upcoming MP Skywarp(Skycrow) will come with both black and the sweet, sweet purple hands fans were requesting! Hurray! I would've bought him either way, Meteor is leagues above MP-11, but still, this is nice news, they must have gotten quite a few messages and requests about those.
  18. You mean for Hulkbuster 2.0? As I said above him, Rocket, and Bucky are all TWE, no HLJ, AmiAmi, only shops that carry TWE like NY and AnimeExport will be carrying it. The price seems rough now, but that was roughly the price of the original as well, it is what it is, Chogokin X Figuarts, that Chogokin in there means money. Also, take a look at Hulkbuster V1 prices now, he skyrocketed pretty crazy.
  19. New Figuarts Rocket with the BFG, Winder Soldier, and Hulkbuster 2.0 are all TWE, all going up tomorrow. Easy pass on Rocket, I've got the first one and while I like that big gun, I don't like it enough to buy him again, but I will be snatching Winder Solider and Hulkbuster off NY tomorrow for sure. edit: I guess Winter Soldier, Rocket, and Hulkbuster are all up on NY already, GO GO GO!
  20. I get that, but it still seems completely unreasonable at that size and scale. Most figures that have a gimmick where a pilot or something that goes in armor, the outside figure is usually a shell, or a block of wood as far as articulation is concerned. Hot Toys got away with it because their scale, 1/12 and 6" not so much. The HB itself would have to be thin, and more complicated in order to accommodate a figure inside and have any resemblance of articulation, at that point it wouldn't even be a Figuart, it would be an expensive glorified Legends or Select HB with a Figuart Ironman inside it. Also, people were already whining like crazy about the price, opening HB gimmick would have driven the price even higher, that is, if it was even a possibility at that scale while still being an actual articulated Figuart figure.
  21. Figuarts Ep-3 Anakin/Young Vader is popping up Friday. I remember he was initially announced as TWE, I guess Bandai saw how excited folks were for him so they just made him a standard release instead. Looks frakking fantastic, I have been waiting on this guy, pre-ordered on site. The screaming/yelling face is a bit meh, but everything else looks great! That Sith eyes face looks really good, I can't wait to put a black fabric cloak around this guy to complete his look, maybe a few dead kids scattered around his feet as well :). On a side note I also never understood the allure of fitting a standard Figuarts Ironman into the Figuarts Hulkbuster. Maybe at a larger scale like how Hot Toys was able to do it, but 1/12 or 6" is a hell of a stretch. I remember people clamoring for the Mafex, claiming it was SO superior because it had some dumb little bust, not even a figure, seated in the head of their Hulkbuster. Of course it came out, slightly cheaper then Figuarts, and it got slammed in reviews for bad paint, awkward design choices, no lighting or anything else impressive to speak to it's still really high price.
