  1. I'm enjoying the hell out of it, but to be fair I am a massive fan/shill of the series, going back to the original PC game and the Instincts remake on the original fatty Xbox. The game is gorgeous, I'm on an Xbox One X and in 4K with HDR going this game is a jaw dropper, really beautiful. Huge, dense map with tons of stuff to do, better progression, better quest giving, coop, less samey style collectathons and missions, they even took out the monotonous towers that you had to climb to unlock the map, the map unlocks much more "naturally" now, through progression on side quests and other activities. The game is very open ended too, you do the tiny tutorial island and that's it, you're free to roam the entirety of the map, for better or worse. The game doesn't feel as much like a big digital check list like the previous games did at times, and the way you get quests now is much better then just running to the same person a dozen times over and asking "What's next?".
  2. Far Cry 5 is VERY pretty on my X, fairly stable too, I've only had a few frame rate hickups and drops, it seems really well optimized. I love me some Far Cry, I know a lot of people aren't into these huge collectathons, but I will always love them, and this one is quite varied in things to do. Plus I like the more organic flow of missions and how new missions and side objectives pop up more naturally instead of just running to the same person and doing their stuff until they have nothing left to say to you.
  3. I saw it last night and absolutely loved it, just as much as the first honestly. The new younger cast gets a bit grating at times, but it's not so bad. Performances were fine, Boyega was fine, Eastwood was fine, nothing stood out as either terrible or terrific, it was all serviceable, like the first. I LOVED the fight scenes, they weren't power rangers, they weren't super robot, they were just as heavy and weighted as the first. Designs were hit and miss, I really liked the new Kaiju designs but wasn't totally hot on every new Jaeger design, Gypsy Avenger was badass. I'll definitely be seeing it again sometime soon, I gotta see Ready Player One sometime soon too. Definite sequel bate, I'm hoping that like the first, this one will be profitable enough to continue the franchise, I'd love for a trilogy. As already mentioned by several others though, the first didn't make much in the US either, in fact if I remember right, Adam Sandler's offensively stupid deer piss moron bait movie Grown Ups 2 beat out the first film in it's opening weekend, and had a higher overall domestic return. China is, like the first film, what will make or break this movie.

    Hi-Metal R

And it comes with BOTH little tiny pilot options, well done Bandai, well done.
  5. I'm not trying to censor anyone, nor am I implying people shouldn't be free to share their opinions, this is a forum, sharing positive and negative opinions on things is why it exists. I just said I didn't understand the hate, I wanted some perspective, I got it. While I am still full hype mode for this film, I can see what many are saying and conveying, Del Toro put a lot of personal sheen on the first film. I bought the first film on DVD, Bluray, 4K Bluray, digital, I bought NECA toys in both scales, I went ape crap over this film, and most importantly, watched the behind the scenes and special features about a half a dozen times. The way Del Toro explained how he very meticulously put together each action scene, down to the flipping, tossing or movement of every little CG car and bit of debris. I get it. The way he spoke so passionately about all the old monster movies I would watch in marathon on Scifi channel, War of the Gagantuas, old school Toho Godzilla, his pretty vast knowledge of mecha anime, he clearly loved working on the first one, it was an obvious dream project. I just think this new one looks fine, zero doubts far less care went into making each scene special but it is what is it, it still looks like giant monsters fighting giant robots, so I'm there. I think a lot of the changes were due to the studio actually even making a sequel. If i remember right the first one way under performed, and was only slightly profitable due to the Chinese market going crazy over the first film. For over a year we were told a sequel won't happen, the first didn't make enough, there wasn't enough interest. So when this was green lit, I'm sure the studio wanted to make this sequel far more "digestible" for a large audience, it couldn't be a director's dream project, if it is to become a franchise, it needed to be streamlined. I can see some of what made the first more personal and less blockbustery missing from what we've seen of the trailers, but overall, it just looks like more of the same to me .
  6. I may actually buy a new Mafex, swore them off due to four horrible figures in a row, but Baba Yaga may make me bite... http://news.toyark.com/2018/03/23/john-wick-mafex-figure-photo-details-294057 Not a terrible face sculpt, the question is how much will it change before release? Mafex promo faces usually look nothing like the final retail release.
  7. They do look neat, a bit pricey considering the parts count though. I'm still bummed these were selected overall though, I feel there were far more interesting things up at Ideas at the same time.
  8. Meh, agree to disagree. And I personally still feel the first was dumb fun, slower dumb fun, but not really anything special, it was just one of the first modern films to take a stab at the giant robot v giant monster theme. And I didn't imply faster and shinier meant better in any way, I just stated that was the only real difference I am seeing between this and the first. I loved the first as much as anybody else, I grew up on Toho monster movies and mecha anime, bought hundreds of dollars worth of toys and merch, I just don't feel robbed or slapped in the face by this sequel personally, it looks fine, and it looks like a sequel and evolution to the monsters and tech seen in the first film.
  9. But I don't think anyone will care if you go see it, hell, it's still Star Wars, I still expect a ton of people to go see it. I'm definitely going to see it, because it's Star Wars.
  10. Interesting... I don't do the Bayverse stuff myself but some of my buddies are wetting themselves over the in hand images of Blackout, and they are insanely hyped for that Starscream and some Studio Series Grimlock nobody has seen in hand yet.
  11. Wow, that pose and face look SUPER awkward without a blaster in hand. edit: Oh man, I didn't even notice they made Chewie drop his bow caster too, that is pretty lame.
  12. Double down on being an ass guy, that'll sure show me :). You also pirated it which is gross, I didn't even read that bit.
  13. Yeah I don't get that guy, he seems like a bit of an ass so I put him on ignore, he tried to chew Kuma out for some of his fantastic photos as well. I don't get it, this is one persons opinion that's been railing on the film since it was announced, why not you know, go see it yourself? I'm baffled at the hate the sequel is getting, the first film got borderline middling reviews as well for being a stupid blockbuster giant monster giant robot fight movie. This one is faster, brighter, and shinier and it's terrible? I just don't get some folks, to each their own of course, I'm just really not getting the pedestal the first film is being put on. I love Del Toro's work as much as the next person, but the first film was literally dumb fun, nothing more. This looks to literally be more of the same.
  14. I'm confused, isn't this just the Leader Class movie Starscream that was released multiple times over? Same engineering, same figure and all that? I'm pretty sure I have this exact thing boxed up somewhere but with the stupid Cybertronian markings all over it. And what's up with this Studio Blackout or whatever? Is it essentially a new Leader class Blackout like many people clamored for years ago? I'm not getting the big resurgence of movie toys, didn't the franchise just get set to be rebooted after the solo Bumblebee movie? These will all eventually be the "old" movie designs, no?
  15. Oh boy, oh boy, it looks like the Mezco Ghostbusters officially went up for PO. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/71461 Snatched mine here, fortunately they are not a Mezco Store exclusive. These were a must buy the moment they were shown off, I think they look fantastic. I don't remember them being announced as one big $300 box set, but I'll take it, buying these piece by piece would've been annoying, like a third party combiner.
  16. Man they need some diversity in that MK line up, it's ninjas as far as the eye can see. I get it, easy repaints, but still, two unique molds and a mess of ninjas is the quickest way to kill the line.
  17. I believe AMC theaters is doing something like this leading to Infinity War's release, just no Netflix stuff, only movies. Still, it's like, over 20 hours or something absurd.
  18. He does look good! I ended up cancelling him and X-Force Deadpool, the regular versions work fine for me, I still really like OG red Deadpool and tiger stripe Wolverine. Boog and D Amazing both seem to get their stuff far quicker then anyone else, especially Mezco One:12 and Figuarts, not sure how they do it, maybe they both know someone on the inside. Also, pre-order Catwoman at BBTS, honestly, I think she looks fantastic.
  19. Isn't this a double post? You already posted this random idiots same exact video earlier up in the thread.
  20. Damn this looks awesome! I can't wait. There still looks to be plenty of "weight" to the fights, they're just more mobile, which absolutely works for me, this is what I would imagine a next-gen Jaeger to move like and be capable of. I'm loving the designs too, monster and Jaeger, plus no hide the CG in a dark rainy fight scene! Does that make the CG stand out more? Eh, depends. I feel I can actually see the detail and money that went into these, a day time fight was something the first film was sorely lacking in, we got that taste in Australia but that was it, and it was short.
  21. I did just that and nabbed a Lego Batman Classic Adam West Batcave set. Only problem is Toys R Us markup is so high and absurd that anything marked down will honestly just be at fair retail price, Toys R Us markup is ridiculous.
  22. Looks like Deviljho/Pickle is coming to Monster Hunter World next week as a free update, he was announced quite a while back so without trying to sound too entitled, it's about time. While I love MHW, and put in over 250 hours already and I'm barely HR 71, the end game is INCREDIBLY boring. Farming tempered elder dragons for hours is a slog, and the only thing that can come from it are hero stream stones, of which you will NOT get the ones you need over and over. The RNG in this game is fairly awful, but what can you do, I'm still having fun hunting random monsters and tempered monsters with friends and very occasionally, random people online. Most people are awful online though, and have zero MH etiquette. I almost instantly ban all dual blade and long sword users because they don't understand the concept of tripping, or aiming for the right target on a monster, 99% of them just mash the attack button, very irritating. If I'm hammerbro and I'm on the head, I WILL send you flying.
  23. All Infinity War Figuarts back up at HLJ, get em while they're hot. https://hlj.com/search/go?w=infinity war
