My three DB5s will be delivered to work today! I totally paid for 1 day shipping after ordering through VIP, VERY pricey, especially for three, but damnit if that doesn't look pretty much EXACTLY how I wanted it to, gimmicks, gadgets and all.

Since the bike isn't at SDCC I wonder if it will be sold separate like Dredd's Lawmaster? I would honestly prefer bundled, if there's a Ghost Rider figure available, AND his ride, 99% of folks are in for both, so just bundle that crap. Agreed on Inhumans, while I don't hate them I've never been hot on them, but that Black Bolt and Lockjaw do look nuts, that Lockjaw is undeniably the finest 1/12 Lockjaw that will probably ever be made.

Wow Mezco came out in force. That Magneto looks fantastic but I need to see more pics, and I'm still liking the look of that Cyclops. Blade is looking great, as is Darkseid, I'm still in on that big guy. The Ghostbusters are what really caught my eye, that set looks amazing, they look damn good together. Definitely didn't expect that insane looking Black Bolt and really nice looking, articulated Lockjaw, I'm not much for Inhumans but there's little denying that duo look pretty badass.

I think it's just video game characters being translated to a Figuarts figure in general, they all look a bit uncanny, they don't translate as well as live action characters. Most of the popular Figuarts are based on live action properties, DC and Marvel, Star Wars, and all the various Sentai and Kamen Rider. We know how these characters should look, with video game characters they have to base them on the chosen source game, which based on the gaming era, could look quite plain. The Street Fighter characters are based on IV which isn't that old, the MK figures are based on MK III, which is fairly old as far as gaming generations go. I didn't buy the Street Fighter figures because I don't like Street Fighter, not because I thought the figures looked bad, I think all of these video game figures look as expected and appropriate based on their source materials.

edit: Not even Figuarts, Storm Collectibles, someone mislabeled the photos and I ran with it because I'm gullible.

New Broly looks pretty good, bought. I'm FAR more interested in that Mr. Satan, he looks awesome! Didn't expect Android 21, probably a pass for me. edit: And I'm an idiot, the reason the MK figures looked so "off" was because they were in fact, not Figuarts figures, but apparently Storm Collectibles. Storm is actually making more then ninjas now. I'll be passing, my bias for Figuarts made me over hyped, they are the same meh figures Storm has been putting out since Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

Man, that's a nice pic, I love that mold in black. When it comes to a new Prime getting announced, I can't help but find myself getting FAR more excited about the inevitable Nemesis repaint. I'll just say it, Prime looks better in black, always. Not that his original colors are bad or not insanely iconic, it's just the black Nemesis repaints are always so much more eye catching.- 9325 replies

This is the highlight for me, had Lego designed this like one of their other car sets where the goal is to JUST make it look like the vehicle, I'm sure they could've gotten closer. But, having to incorporate all of the gadgets and gimmicks that make this car a Bond car, it was NEVER going to be super accurate to the vehicle itself, which I am perfectly fine with. Make the car as accurate as possible, but the gadgets and gimmicks are the "point" of a set like this, and agreed, I think they did a pretty fantastic job.
-
I know there's a lot of jalops and car folks that are hating on this, but I'm not a car guy at all and can care less about little inaccuracies, this thing looks gorgeous! Also, available TODAY for VIP! I ordered three, one to open and build, one for MISB, and one for a good friend's b-day. Working ejector seat, bullet shield in rear window, rotating license plate, tire slashers, hidden phone in the door, concealed computer in the dash, pop out machine guns under the headlights, this thing is loaded with little details and gimmicks! I can't wait to get mine in.

Man those MakeToys seekers are gorgeous! I'm waiting on BBTS to get Skywarp and Thundercracker in, as usual, BBTS is always last to the party. Intakes look fine to me, will look even better when I put those sweet intake fans I got from Jream in, doubly so when I get his perfectly color matched shin vents in! I'm excited to see color prototypes of the cone heads, so glad I never bothered with Takara's quite mediocre attempts, I get that they wanted to retool as little as possible but still, they just look bad.- 9325 replies

Oh yeah, zero chance, Microsoft bought Rare long ago, and long ago they apparently decided to do frakk all with them, such a waste. I was just joking, the N64 classic will just be full of Nintendo classics like the SNES and NES classic, I just REALLY loved Conker's Bad Fur Day. I'm definitely in for one, I plan on collecting each of the Nintendo Classic mini consoles, they are pretty damn fun, and yes indeed, easy to modify.

If the N64 Classic is a thing and doesn't include Conker's Bad Fur Day then I'm passing, that game caught more playtime then anything else released on the N64 for me personally, just a perfect unforgettable game.

Man that FansToys Warpath looks fantastic! I'm glad I never bothered with the BadCube version, this thing looks to be a proper minibot with a solid tank mode. Xtransbots Seaspray is looking really good too, Klaatu and Toro were quite brilliant so I am really looking forward to Seaspray, Xtransbots is on a roll with their minibots. FansToys Beachcomber and Brawl on the other hand, don't look so good, there are only silhouettes to go off of but still, that Brawn looks WAY off, and Xtransbots Beachcomber is already quite perfect IMO.- 9325 replies

Wow, that looks frakking brilliant! I can't wait to get my hands on that beast! This set still looks incredible to me, nitpickers be damned. I think I'll actually be getting two of these sets, one to open and build and one for MISB, which I NEVER do for Lego sets.

To be fair, I only remember him as Captain Marvel, not Shazam. Even then, I never read his stand alone stuff, I only knew about him when he popped up in bigger storylines. I don't even remember when his mainstream name switched to Shazam. I get why they changed it, but it comes off as super weird to me that he yells out the name of the wizard that gave him his powers to change, then he keeps the wizard's name and calls himself Shazam? Captain Marvel made more sense, as far as making sense can go with this character, Shazam is just a cheesy acronym from what I remember.
-
Lol. Long story short, he's actually a young boy named Billy Batson, he yells out "Shazam!" when he wants to turn into his big super hero alter ego. Underneath the looks and muscle, Shazam is a little boy, who likes cola and sugar.
-
Yeah it looks like he has a cheap Halloween muscle suit on underneath his costume, not really a good look. I'd imagine the actor put on plenty of muscle, the extra muscle padding looks goofy.
-
Oh my FEELS! Seriously though, still looking fantastic. I'm sure this will make Disney a bunch more money, plus Obi-Wan is just so delightful!
-
Same here, I have a CrunchyRoll account and it seems every older iteration of Ultraman is on there, but there's just so many series and I would have zero idea where to start. If this is something new, and I can get on board from the beginning, I may have to check it out.
-
Oh man this, Bond is just never something I ever thought we would see. If true? I'm am all over this, one to open and build, one for brand new in box. Bond has always been one of my all time favorite film franchises, I've owned every film in 7 formats, I may actually, physically NEED this.

Went ahead and nabbed mp MP-43 at HLJ, $263.36. Still pricey, but it's not $320 like BBTS. THIS is the Megatron I grew up with, not G1, regardless of price, I was getting this guy guaranteed. MP-36 is okay, MP-43 looks like the real Megatron :). Oddly enough, I had a hard time paying for MP-36 at retail, I still feel that thing is too expensive for what I got, but as I said, G1 Megatron was just never anything special to me, my bias for Beast Wars Megatron puts him above anything else TF related for me right now.- 17319 replies

Yeah there have always been five islands, Las Cinco Muertes, the Five Deaths. We just haven't seen the other three islands in any of the films, only in games, most recently Jurassic World Evolution.

Was it 6!? Holy crap, that is FAR worse. When I pre-ordered DX Joker from the Mezco site it was limited 2 per customer and I thought that was bad enough. You are absolutely right, several truly a-hole scalpers undoubtedly bought up 6 of these over and over, and absolutely WILL have these on Ebay for $300+ as soon as they release. This crap needs to stop, make the figures easier to get, or limit it one to customer and demand unique payment for each order, don't accept the same payment method and information for several orders, this crap is getting ridiculous.
