    Hi-Metal R

I'm in for three, no more then that, three of very cannon fodder unit is my quota, then I'm good.
  2. Man I never noticed how awful that Con symbol on him looks, that's frakking terrible. I get it, once again, animation accurate, but damn, that just looks so, so, so awful. What options would anyone have for covering it up? White backed Repro Con label at best? That's such a terrible decision in my opinion, god damn you Takara, you really don't want any of my money anymore do you?
  3. The only reason I am even slightly interested in this is for Willem Dafoe voicing Ryuk.
  4. I don't bother with 1/60 anymore, but if the quality is decent I'll grab a few as gifts for friends. A lot of my friends always liked my 1/60 stuff, but screamed like girls when I told them prices, and now the prices are even worse. I've never shied away from KO or third party, so I'll give one a whirl someday after a review. Chances are good RocketPunchArmy will review one when they're available, he always reviews KO Transformers and other stuff.
  5. Convenience. I always have a bunch of different stuff on order at BBTS, them and HLJ are my two most used internet toy shops, and like with HLJ, that Pile of Loot feature is amazing. If the price were a tad cheaper from the Mezco site I might consider it, but the price is always the same so I'll just have Wolverine ship with whatever other garbage I have released at the same time. And I guess I didn't really mean changes to the figure itself, that still looks the same, but the new pics are showing off that he comes with a calm and angry head, as well as a katana with a sheath. I love this line, so I'm in for him. I also splurged a bit and have Flash, Zoom, Joker, and the regular release Punisher all on the way now too.
  6. So yeah, the second episode got VERY dark. I mean, I figured at TV-14 is was only a matter of time before we saw a real human death, but once again, damn, that was very dark. I'm loving the balance the new season is finding too, many were afraid it would get too dark, but nope, like I said, there's a nice balance. New Aku VA is a bit off, but he works for me, either way I am loving having Jack back, especially on the same night as Star Wars Rebels! I feel like a kid again tuning into Toonami for some excellent cartoon action. The beat boxing assassin in the first episode was a highlight for me as well, it wouldn't be Jack without more interesting robo villains for him to slaughter!
  7. That Flash musical episode was one of the most delightful hours of television I have watched in a while. I had a stupid grin on my face literally the whole time. The cast gots pipes! I mean, Grant and Melissa were on Glee, and Stein is a Broadway man, but still, so excellent! Also, Stein busting out into the Banana Boat song on last week's Legends, right in the middle of NASA mission control, was one of the funniest things I've seen on television in a LOOONNNGGG time. Only a show like Legends could've pulled that off, then the pretty much evil Rory jumped in too. These shows are absolutely not without their faults, and they're full of cheese, but damnit do I love them! Arrow has gotten better, Legends is absolutely killing it this season, and The Flash has been mixed.
  8. Everyone is watching The Americans right, AKA the best show currently on television until Fargo next month? Also, FX is absolutely killing it, they've surpassed AMC in my mind, and are currently rivaling HBO, FX has a number of different shows on that are just absurdly good all around. Legion is fantastic as well, knowing very little about the character because I've never been a huge X-Men fan, I'm liking it a lot! Very trippy, every episode is like another piece of the puzzle, and you're slowly putting the pieces together. I can't wait until the finale so I can re-watch the whole season again and catch everything that I initially missed.
  9. Went ahead and pre-ordered Wolverine at BBTS. They definitely made some changes for the better, still not thrilled with the shorts and shoulder pads, but I'll deal, I REALLY love this line.
  10. I don't mind the texture on Spidey at all, I'm actually digging it. Figuarts Spidey looks great, need a PO on that ASAP. The only advantage I'm seeing with the Mafex one is the unmasked head, but even then it will probably look awful because Mafex has a terrible habit of having their finished products look nothing like the promo shots, I'm literally looking directly at Mafex Wonder Woman, never again with that company...
  11. I have ToyWorld Cosmos on the way too, loved Cosmos, one of my favorite season 2 mini bots. Grump is fantastic as well, easily my favorite MP mini bot in my collection, he is undeniably MP Gears.
  12. Meh, I can understand some being disappointed by the length of the fight, they did make a big deal out of it, but once again, I think what we got was perfectly fitting. And as you pointed out, there's a long gap between two Master's efficiently, and precisely striking at each other and blink and you'll miss it. There was a TON of love and attention to detail in that little duel. Also, with a character like Obi-Wan, especially this close to ANH, I wasn't really expecting very much of him in it at all, I think Rebels delivered pretty much EXACTLY what I expected, length and content wise. Obi-Wan can't have too prominent a part, we're way too close to ANH events, and I'm not sure what else you'd be expecting from him except chatting with Ezra for a bit longer. I figured Maul would catch onto Obi-Wan's mission, and that as soon as they finally faced off that would end up being their battleground. To each their own once again, they did kind of play it up like a bit battle was coming, but I still feel what we got was perfectly big enough, the duel was very intimate, it was far more about the meaning and finality of it then a big duel/fight itself. These are old Masters, once again, I'm not expecting a prolonged fight from either, Maul was ready to end it either way, and Obi-Wan has a fairly important kid to watch.
  13. I love that TT was essentially pressured into doing more with accessories thanks to third party, but man, that asking price is absurd. I'm definitely loving the accessories, but I'm just not seeing them plus the figure itself justifying the asking price. Plus, I just can't settle for the grey "toon" accurate color, it looks like it wants to be a premium figure but the paint job is where they gave up. I really need to see him next to Mightron, my current MP Megs, I'm not expecting much, but I'd still like to see the comparison.
  14. Were you missing the LED lights? Mine was. Not that big of an issue, I got replacements quick enough, I've just read a number of people were missing their LED lights out of the box from certain retailers. I love him, such an imposing piece. This design for Trypticon was always one of my favorites, High Moon did a fantastic job with all of these War for and Fall of Cybertron designs, and once again, since Hasbro and Takara won't, third party delivers.
  15. Can't agree more. I see some aren't happy with the fight, they wished it was longer and maybe a bit flashier, but I can't disagree more, I think the fight the way we got it was perfect. Obi-Wan doesn't have time for flash anymore, this is his final, most important mission. He knows how Maul is, and how persistent he can be, that's why when he mentioned protecting "someone" Obi-Wan had to end it quick. The fight was perfect, and touching. I loved how when they squared off Obi-Wan started in the Ewan McGregor prequel/Clones Wars two finger point pose, then settled into the Episode IV Alec Guinness pose, bridging the gap and reminding us once again, Obi-Wan doesn't have time for flash, these are two old masters, and they need to end this. I also loved Maul's moment, very Sith to the end, "He will avenge us", that's still his line of thinking, Jedi or not, someone will kill the damn Emperor. I know many hated brining Maul back, but what they did with him in the Clone Wars animated series absolutely redeemed his character, and made him into something to truly care about, and all of that got wrapped up nicely with a bow, with his most infamous rival no less. it was brilliant.
  16. Lucky... I just got a message from BBTS saying their stock of PX Exclusive Punisher is smaller then expected and they can't fill my order. I've tried finding one of similar price on other sites but no luck, I found a few on some sketchy sites, but I'm not giving that kind of money to anyone but a well-known, real-deal site. This sucks ass, I REALLY wanted this guy, extra guns, gun bag, trench coat! I guess I'll just grab a regular version on BBTS while I can, this is still really, really, disappointing.
  17. God I hate that grey so, so, so much. If TT releases an X or silver version I'd bite, but I'm still out on this regular release.
  18. Snagged Qui-Gon at NY, none of the Star Wars Figuarts stuff is ever coming state side so I'll just get him there. Mk II is cool but from what I've read he'll be getting a US stand alone release, and a US release with a hall of armor, I'll wait for that, just grab him at BBTS with another hall piece. edit: And look at that, two minutes after I posted I noticed BBTS put their pre-orders up for stand alone Mk II and the bundle with the hall piece. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=BAN17567&mode=retail
  19. From what I've read the initial production run of Switch consoles was smaller then the first production run for the Wii-U, so I certainly hope this is the case. Nintendo never creates enough hardware to meet initial demand, whether on accident or on purpose.
  20. FansToys offered this little add-on for Scoria. From what I've read this little clear smoked plastic add-on was pretty popular for the toy-centric people. Also, Soar comes with a clear plastic bit that can go over his beak, and Stomp and Grinder both have several areas with clear plastic over some nice little details. Only down side is the clear plastic on Soar, Stomp, and Grinder is not smoked like this Scoria accessory. Maybe if you're crafty enough you can modify the clear plastic into a more smoked looking shade.
  21. Saw it and loved it, though it was a great monster movie. This. Kong wasted no time getting front and center and causing some destruction. I look forward to King Kong v Godzilla.
  22. They look good together, and I'd honestly recommend Scoria, I think he's fine, but I can get waiting for Cesium. Are you just getting the grey toon versions or are you going X? I love my toon Dinos, they're beautiful pieces. ---Also, unfortunately, I read this about Cesium over on TFW2005. botfan said: ↑ Didn't dalianjj say April. This is March. Please, have a drink and relax. Click to expand... Yeah....but there's this.... King Nergil said: ↑ Well, I was so blown away by Grinder that I had to beg the man himself to give us any information about the status of Caesium. I bring bad news: "not sure the exact date now" So I guess the silence will go on for a while.... ... Not sure if I can handle it... Click to expand... ---So I guess he's still a bit off. He looks good to me, he just doesn't look improved enough to be a replacement, especially when my re-issue Scoria is fine, he is tight, tight, tight, no issues with hips or anything.
  23. I guess it depends on what you're looking for really like technoblue mentioned. I have all 5 of the toon colored grey plastic Dinos, that's how i like them, the X versions are a bit too blinged up for me. That said there's no denying the X versions are fairly impressive at certain angles, the extra paint goes a long way, it's just a bit too much for me what with all the chrome and gold already on the grey plastic toon versions. The X versions are getting harder to find, so I'd say make your choice quick because if you do want the X versions you'll probably need to track down a Soar and Scoria. Grinder doesn't even have an X version for pre-order yet so no worries there, Stomp and Sever should be easy finds though. The FansToys Dinos are excellent figures, VERY well made, detailed, and the transformations are fun and fairly simple. I'd recommend the regular versions if you want a more toon accurate look, X if you're willing to go all out and want the flashiest Dinos available.
